Traveling south on I95 and made it a point to eat here with my son who has Celiac. Exceeded expectations all around. Great service, amazing GF menu (not certified GF kitchen but we’re not at that level of concern). Chicken wings, burger, pizza...all excellent. Comfortable setting. Highly recommend!!
My daughter found the restuarant on order up for my boyfriend n I for Valentine's Day.I'm so happy she did. They had a really good special going on n the food was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent n it was such a chill spot.I would recommend it to anyone its for a date or the family.I'll be returning soon.
Love Alexander’s! Had brunch there with my teenage son, and always had a great experience. Congenial and attentive waitstaff, excellent food (veggie omelet was awesome!) and a nice relaxing atmosphere. With the soccer matches on the big screen, sporty enough for my son, but also a great ambience for having a real conversation.
Even though it was Restaurant Week, the service was great and pretty fast. The food was delicious! I would definitely dine here again.
The food was great....Tavern Nachos and Hot Braided Pretzels were a pre-dinner hit. Lots of burgers at our table and I had Fish and Chips. The fries tasted a little pre-frozen, not sure. The fish was lightly battered and great! Everyone loved their burgers.
The service was not the best. The sit down dining area only had one waiter and he was running around like crazy. Service was pretty bad, to say the least.
We went for Baltimore Restaurant week and had a great $15 2-course lunch. I am gluten free and enjoyed the jerk chicken with mango salsa in addition to the Hawaiian pizza with GF dough. We look forward to coming back!
The Sriracha brussel sprouts were heavenly. I'm glad I tried it out during restaurant week. I would say that their comfort food shined over some of the fancier meals we got. Overall great dinner spot to go with friends.
Lots of selections... Good place for gluten free. Food could have been hotter. Some of our parties food was hot and others not. Service was good and ambience was good.
The tater tots are amazing -- piping hot and better than expected, even with all the rave reviews. Unfortunately, the rest of our lunch meal was, by comparison, a little disappointing. Turns out that a French dip panini may not be such a good idea. While the individual elements were ok, the bread used for a panini is just not absorbent the way French bread is. And the au jus didn't arrive until about 5 minutes later which meant that the sandwich, which wasn't all that hot to begin with, was decidedly cool by the time we could really dig in. Cream of Crab soup was reasonably tasty, but again, not really warm. Same with eggs Benedict. Service (other than the tardy au jus delivery) was pleasant and attentive. Atmosphere was nice. But the food - other than those tots - was unremarkable.
Great casual fare and tons of gluten free options, would recommend! Best gluten free menu in the city would suggest for anyone GF!!!
Alexander's Tavern was outstanding! Great and fun food selection, and very good value. Location is perfect and tavern was great decor and vibe! Highly recommend...
Great food and a family friendly environment.
First time at this gem and one of many to come. The food was delicious, menu had a great variety, and service was outstanding. Plus, they have a charity of the month—so this great Fells Point restaurant and bar also gives back to local nonprofits. What’s not to love?! Thank you, Alexander’s Tavern, for a fantastic date night dinner and for making Feline Rescue Association one of several local charities you support. We’ll be back!
We had a party of 8 with 4 kids for an early dinner, usually a restaurant's worst nightmare, but this place was terrific. Everyone was kind, both the employees and the other patrons! We got super authentic local atmosphere and were pleased to be able to support a long time Baltimore business rather than one of the newer corporate entities down there road.
The service was outstanding, and the food was great. Best brussel sprouts and broccoli I've had at a restaurant in a long time. Burgers, crab cakes and Cubano sandwich were delicious. Beer on draft and can selections we're great, hitting the local high notes. We'll be back again!
I chose this restaurant because we were going to the Vagabond Theatre and wanted someplace in easy walking distance. It was our first time there. My husband and our guest had tuna, which my husband thought was very good—he is picky usually. I had the Cubano panini, which was also very good. We all had roasted Brussels sprouts.
The server found a dark beer for my guest and myself that complimented our meal. After dinner coffee was good too. In all it was very positive. The desserts looked good but we were already full.
We arrived early and it was very quiet. The noise level grew as more patrons were seated, as one would expect.
This was my second time eating at Alexander's Tavern. It is casual and friendly with a variety of sandwiches. It is located in Fells Point in Baltimore and it is convenient to the Vagabond Theater where we were going afterwards. The food and service are good.
Good food reasonably priced, cocktails are nice.
Alexander's Tavern never disappoints! In our party we had a gluten free friend and a vegetarian friend and both were very happy with their options. The crab dip tots are out of this world! Highly recommend for a casual dinner with friends.
Fantastic gluten free food.
Went to AT for brunch. Main courses were very good as usual. However, two of our groups's sides were delivered cold. They were remade and delivered warmer than before, but oddly still not hot. That is why the food got 3 stars. Usually it is four stars. Service was slow and water was not refilled even after asking. Had to make a second request, so service got lower stars for that. And it was not busy, so I am unsure what was going on with the service. I still recommend AT, I think this was a blip.
