Located in the heart of the San Diego Zoo, Albert’s offers full-service dining where you can enjoy deck seating with the ambiance of a tropical waterfall. Patio seating not guaranteed!

The menu features a variety of unique dishes including seafood specialties, a variety of entrees, salads, sandwiches, and children’s options.

Join us for Weekend Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Valid San Diego Zoo Membership or admission ticket is required to dine in Alberts Restaurant.

18% Gratuity charge to be added to checks for parties of 7 or more.

Due to spacing restrictions, we cannot accommodate strollers inside the restaurant or on our patio, stroller parking is located right outside of Albert's Restaurant.

I was able to secure a reservation easily by going online while walking around the Zoo and visiting all the animals. Our wait was not long at all, and the restaurant was clean and the wait staff were all friendly and efficient. Our waiter gave us lots of attention, filled our water glasses non-stop, and checked in with us to see how lunch was and if we needed anything. The food was excellent ( Brussels Sprouts, Spicey Ahi Tuna Rice cakes, and a shared FlankSteak salad and Caprese Salad.

We love the setting and ambiance on the patio, but the breakfast/brunch items we ordered were only just okay. The Blueberry muffin french toast it's literally a sliced and toasted blueberry muffin with syrup, whipped cream, and sugared fruit. It was way too sweet, and really not that interesting, and not filling. I'll stick to the lunch menu in the future. My biggest pet peeve is when dishes are not cleared away from the table. 7 employees walked past the table and no one cleared the table until I asked someone to take the dishes away. For the prices they charge, the service could be improved. The lattes were great! Over all my rating is "good" but I'm not a raving fan.

We sat outside near the waterfall and it created a refreshing atmosphere. Food was great. Iced tea was very good, but wished they offered a real lemonade or soda alternative. The staff and servers were polite and fun!

Pam was a wonderful server and the food was divine. The double stack chicken was juicy enough to not need added condiments and the birria tacos were cooked to perfection; the tortilla wasn’t soggy and the meat didn’t slip out.

Its always such a treat when we can eat here at the zoo. I really like their weekend brunch options. The restaurant is really popular so make a reservation or expect to wait.
