We used to live by the Palm in Houston and were able to walk there. It was a warm friendly environment where they remembered what we liked and it was like a home away from home. My husband and and I stopped in one evening after a dear friends funeral. Unfortunately we did not have reservations, however they gave us a lovely booth by the bar. We enjoyed our dinner very much. When we can in this time, the head bartender remembered us, what wine we liked and our previous desert. It was a wonderful surprise and made us feel at home.

The service and attention were great. There was some difficulty with a fussy child nearby that lessened the ambiance. One of our guest’s filet had to be sent back twice until she was satisfied with the temperature, but I’m not sure she knew what she was requesting. Another guest’s spinalis steak was flavorful but more chewy than anticipated. He did not voice his concern at that time, so the restaurant had no opportunity to respond. The manager, Steve, and our server, Sheila, could not have been more pleasant and accommodating and provided a thoughtful surprise in custom dessert plate that topped the evening off on a high note.

As usual, Al Biernat's is the epitome of service. Their food is amazing and the service is second to none. There was 7 of us for lunch and we had appetizers, entrees, and dessert. It was all cooked to perfection. The mango ceviche was amazing! The valet is friendly and fast, the hostess, waiter, support staff, and kitchen are all just perfect. I can never say enough nice things about such a wonderful place.

Another great night at Al's! The valet met me and parked car. Check on seamless and bar for a drink , well made! Dinner was outstanding , steaks tender and plenty! Outstanding Service was attentive and professional Al's was packed , so this is no secret place. Enjoy great food and service.

We came here for our anniversary. When we first walked in I noticed how loud the establishment was but we were hungry so we stayed, but if you want a more intimate setting you might want to try somewhere else. We were seated at a table where the only thing separating us from the table next to us was a small partition. It was definitely overcrowded in my opinion. We had the Rockefeller style oysters and they were very good! The salads were good… we had the porterhouse steak and in my opinion, it wasn’t worth $135 and didn’t taste well at all! The mac n cheese had more cheese than Mac, but it was good. We also had spinach and Brussel sprouts and they were delicious! For dessert we had cheesecake and it was delicious! The drinks were also good. Our waiter Sean was great and was very knowledgeable of the menu. I don’t think I would personally go back but good to say I at least tried it out.

Celebrated our daughters 21st birthday. Everything was perfect. Got there early so we cii oh I’ll have drinks in the library bar & sat in front of the fire place. For dinner we were seated at a table with a lovely view of Dallas. Food & service were excellent.looking forward to returning.

We had the prime rib and a 5lb lobster - both were perfectly cooked and served smartly with us splitting a 20oz prime rib and the lobster meat being separated from the shell for easy, clean eating. We enjoy good food and service and AB will be on our normal rotation going forward.

We have always thought of this as a fine dining choice. No more. It is a raucous pub, very very loud, guys wearing baseball caps backwards, and the table next to us did not use any word which was not accompanied by F—-. This is No longer a special occasion restaurant. Very very sad.
