The food is always delicious, beautifully presented and served with such graciousness. The owners, Joe and Mary, make it even more memorable by their attentiveness to patrons. Everyone is a VIP when they dine at Aida's.
This is one of our go to restaurants for special occasions and it rarely disappoints. The food was excellent as always and the servers are knowledgeable and friendly. We did have a bit of an unusual experience this time. When we looked at the Valentine’s prefix menu we saw some interesting options and a three-course dinner was priced at $60 per person. in my experience, the prefix menu either offers unusual items that are not on the regular menu or provides a good value for combining items that are on the regular menu. I noticed that each of the three items I was interested in were also on the ala carte menu. When I checked the prices, the three items on the ala carte menu totaled $50. I asked the waiter about this and inquired whether perhaps the portions on the à la carte menu were smaller. The waiter did not know the answer and appeared as if he couldn’t have been less interested in finding out why that was. I obviously did not choose from the prefix menu. The rest of our dining experience was excellent as always and the waiter provided the usual good service. Just a strange situation that seemed out of place for one of our favorite restaurants.
Lovely Valentines Day dining experience. Great atmosphere and super delish food and craft beverages! Will definitely be looking to book a date night soon.
Excellent, as always. Great food, excellent wine, Aida Bistro never fails to please. Had a special menu for Valentine's Day with four courses. Started with fried oysters, delicate and delicious, next a grilled Caesar Salad that was interesting with crisp garbanzo beans. I had a crab risotto entree that was fabulous and spouse had lamb roast that was tender and tasty. Finished with a red velvet brownie with cream cheese ice cream and a strawberry ricotta ice box cake. Started with sparkling wine and then an excellent pinot house wine.
The food is always excellent. We've joined them on Valentine's Day for many years now. The menu seemed much larger this year than in year's past - a very positive development. My second course, the ceasar salad was okay, not something I'd get again. But the fried oysters were delicious & the beef tenderloin was as well. Portion sizes were well-managed, without being too much food.
It's expensive - $60 per person for a 3-course meal, plus drinks. Our bill for the two of us, (two drinks each), with tip was $217. A bit pricey, really.
Everything is always delicious! Milani never disappoints. From wait staff to servers, always a great dining experience
AMAZING ATMOSPHERE! Great wine and excellent food.
We went here to celebrate a family member’s birthday. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Sever was friendly and accommodating. It’s a bit on the pricy side but would definitely return.
Fabulous as always.
Wonderful food and service. One of our favorite restaurants.
Celebrating a special occasion and was hopeful for a quiet, private place.
Service was ok and food was good, but the restaurant week options were on the bland side. There was also a lot of very loud people, which made conversation a challenge... but that’s not something that they can control. They were very diligent in keeping the water glass full.
Mushroom soup appetizer served at barely tepid temperature. No complimentary bread. Bread sticks with marinara dipping sauce offered for $5.00. Main course of sea bass tasted fine but portion was so tiny that my wife and I stopped the server and asked for 2 salads for fear that we would have to go out for additional food after dinner. The dessert of espresso creme brulee came in the tiniest saucer we had ever seen. It was barely 2 teaspoons . Sure it was the Restaurant Week menu but with wine and tip dinner still cost us $134.00. There is no excuse for such meagre portions of food at those prices. By the way if you check, a considerable number of reviewers have found the same situation recently. If you go you may go away hungry.
This place is a little Hidden Gem in Columbia! The food is always a phenomenal, the service is top-notch, and the wine always does the trick! As a vegetarian, I never have issues finding options either. Don't skip over the place!
Delicious food and great service!
We went during restaurant week. Our meal started with small plates of mushroom soup, crab balls, mussels, all of which were delicious. My husband had the sea bass and I had the steak salad, and the flavors were perfect. Our waiter, Boris was helpful, friendly, but didn’t hang over our table or rush us out. Excellent food and service. We will be back.
Excellent meal, good choices on the HoCo Restaurant Week menu. The waiter, Boris, was amazing, knowledgeable about the menu and wines. Thank you for a great evening.
Celebrated our wedding anniversary with a fabulous meal from Chef Matt's kitchen and outstanding service provided by Boris.
We ordered off of the Restaurant Week menu. Crab balls, Hummus, Salad and Oysters to start. All excellent. Hummus had a hint of horseradish and oysters are local.
For the entree' we both ordered the Sea Bass, which was served with creamy smooth mashed potatoes, and for dessert we had the Sauteed Apples and Fig, Date Toffee cake, with Maple Ice Cream. Yum!!
Our server, Boris, was very helpful on choosing our wine and throughout the evening he was available to answer questions about the meal. When you dine at Aida Bistro be sure to ask for Boris.
Thanks to Chef Matt and the entire staff for making our anniversary dinner a big success.
Dinner was good wished menu would have more choices instead of most pasta sort. Wine selections good.
Thanks for your feedback. I have spoken with the Chef and we would like to discuss in more detail your thoughts about the menu. Please give me a call at 410-953-0500, to discuss further.
Went to AIDA for a girls night and enjoyed the swordfish and a fantastic bottle of wine. Service was wonderful and the food (including dessert!) was even better!
Massively overpriced, very mediocre food, inexperienced and in attentive wait staff. I have no idea how this place gets anyone to come back. What a waste of money.
Thanks for your feedback, sorry you weren't pleased with your dining experience. As an independently owned and operated restaurant, it is important that each guest receives the best possible experience. I spoke with the Chef and we would like to better understand what happened that evening. Can you please call me at 410-953-0500. Thanks.
New Year’s Eve celebration. Overall very nice and enjoy dinner with my love one. Will dine again as everyone so nice and very accommodating. Thank you so much.
Great food and service. One of our favorite places to eat.
Terrific as always. Barbara, Sherry, Joe, Boris, et al. do a great job. Excellent experience on Christmas Eve.
AIDA has consistently excellent service and food!!!
my latest meal was so outstanding that i am still thinking about it! the calamari was phenomenal. the manicotti is always tried and true. the seafood pasta with tarragon is a favorite and the steak melts in you mouth. truly enjoyed myself on this latest visit so immensely that i know i need to return soon. portions were very hearty and staff was attentive and super friendly as ever.
It was a great night and the food and staff were great, the only problem I had was I prefer to eat in the main dining room instead of the overflow room but nothing spoiled our great evening and started my Christmas off extremely well. I am looking forward to the next time I go.
My wife 's salad was good and her entree tasted wonderful. She paid the price later because of the amount of butter used in the pasta. Hers was a pasta with mushrooms and a wonderful tasting Salmon on top. I ordered their Sea Bass over green fetacinne in a picata sauce with capers. I did not like the sauce. Trying to be healthy did not work for me. Everyone else loved their food, so we will try again. Their special calamari was wonderful as an appetizer.
Always a treat
Always a great meal and outstanding service. I do wish they would put the lamb berger back on the menu.
Food could’ve been out of a can. Portions were not nearly worth the price tag.
AIDA Bistro never disappoints! Joe and Mary Barbera welcome us into their dining room as if we were cherished relatives coming home, and the servers make sure that we want for nothing. The food and wines are creative and always delicious, and local in-season ingredients are featured often. Sommelier Boris recommends perfect wine and food pairings and Chef Matt is a fabulous addition to the team. We are looking forward to our next dinner at the Chef’s Table — an experience that we HIGHLY recommend.
I had a very good dinner at Aide Bistro on Tuesday night. My server, Meridith, was delightful and very helpful. Thank you. The calamari wasn't anything wonderful, without too much taste or anything too interesting about it. My salmon entree was very good, with a nice salt and pepper crust. Very enjoyable. I had a 10 oz glass / carafe of the restaurant's nicer red tap wine. It was better than I expected a tap wine to be as it was decently bold and fruity, but I would definitely prefer a better glass of wine from a bottle, than wine from a keg. Fun to try though. The restaurant was most empty except for a group of about 10-15 people with severla young children, that were extremely loud and not considerate of anyone else dining that night. Maybe a separate room for larger groups would be nice? Overall, it was a very good meal and a nice experience.
First time at Aida fir a post-movie date night about 2030hrs on a Saturday. It was just getting quiet after a busy night. Service was very good, as was the food and they have a great selection of wine. We will definitely go back.
Great service and good food
My husband & I enjoyed our espresso martini and had an amazing dinner & was then surprised my the chef welcoming us into the kitchen to meet everyone as well as to try out a new dessert which was incredible. We had a wonderful night as always! Great food & wonderful people!!
Great for my birthday.
Aida was a charming surprise, and I would recommend it with some reservations. The dish that I was looking forward to after viewing the menu online was disappointing; the risotto was very soupy (with very little actual rice) and the puree of squash and cheese had a funky flavor. But the bartender removed it as soon as he saw I wasn't eating it and I reordered with no questions asked. The marinara was good, but the brussel sprouts with an apple-fig glaze were incredible! I could have made a meal of them alone. Wish I lived in the area so that I could visit again to try more dishes, as I always like finding places with interesting takes on vegetables.
Besides a hiccup with some burnt chicken with the chicken carbonara (which was redone upon request) the food was great. The seafood linguine is always a great choice!
Food not tasty for the price. Sweet potato fries and spinach way too salty. Dessert portions too small for price of $8.00 per. Sorry for my first visit at Aida's.
Food was good, but all the wines we tried on tap, were flat and tasteless. So that was a bummer.
