   We went for a Hawaiian brunch and were very disappointed. The meats were undercooked or dry, desserts had brown bananas on top, cocktail very watered down. We did not eat and our meal was comped.

   I went during restaurant week and it was only 1/3 full. Our server, Michael, was quite dull and seemed to be wandering around looking at his tables, but not doing anything…. He lingered too long at our table after food was delivered and it was awkward. It was a somewhat strange experience. The Caesar salad was good minus the crunchy anchovies, the filet was great and cooked perfectly, the truffle mashed potatoes were overly truffled and salted in not a good way. I sent back my first dessert (cherries jubilee) because it was just soupy vanilla ice cream and cherries. The death by chocolate cake was dry and very underwhelming for restaurant week. We had a bit higher expectations…. The ambiance was too fancy for up north MI in the winter with people dressed in jeans and hoodies, etc. maybe they should change it to be more comfortable atmosphere instead of stuffy. The views are great from the top floor!

   The food was fantastic! We begged Dhasha for an appetizer (to make our evening last a bit longer) and she checked with the chef and wowed us! Thank you for the charcuterie board! The husbands in our party like to mess with the servers and Dhasha took it like a trooper. She gave great service! Our party eats out together every Friday night. It’s nice to have a server that can smile and get your jokes. Did I mention that the food was incredible? Thanks for a fun night!

    Wonderful experience. Beautiful surroundings and views. Our server, Sophia, was very attentive and explained all options. Service was impeccable. The food was cooked to order and served hot and delicious. We could not have asked for a better experience.

    It was a great evening. The only negative thing I have was the hot buttered rum was disgusting. Our waitress exchanged it, and I really appreciated that. Thank you for the wonderful night.

    We had terrific food in a wonderful atmosphere. If our reservation was for an hour earlier, we would have been able to watch the sun set from above the city. Attentive staff and delicious cocktails.

    The food served is not worth the money. Two people, two drinks, $95.00 + tip. The food was bland. A breakfast buffet better blow my socks off at that price.

    In an empty restaurant I was seated by a couple having dinner. It felt awkward. I ordered the filet mignon and wine. My food was fast but it was covered in cracked pepper. It tasted like I was chewing on peppercorns. My steak was dry and way over cooked and covered in cracked pepper and carmalized onions. I could not eat the veggies or potatoes. I scraped off the meat and at that. I told the waitress I did not like it. She just said, OK. But the manager soon came to the table. I think She offered to cover part of it but I asked for a wine and cream Brule to go instead. I had the salmon the last time I ate there. IF I go again, I'll have the salmon. The menu is short and has not changed in at least a year.

    Really really need to change up the menu. Have been here the last few years for conventions and it didn’t change at all. Update and creativity can go a long way to get past the fair mark. In all fairness all the restaurants in the hotel just fair, to bad for it being Grand Resort.

    Valentines Day- 2023 We had an amazing evening overall. The wait staff was very attentive. Our food choices were delicious— I recommend the ravioli’s, mouthwatering. The special Valentines dessert was lovely and so good. The weather even cooperated so the view was great. Thank you, AERIE

    It used to be excellent, not anymore. It's an absolute joke now and not a good one. The menu consisted of 5 entrees... Duck, Chicken, Scallops, Filet, and Salmon. You better like one of those or you are out of luck. Don't order the Brussel Sprout Appetizer, you're getting them with your Filet too. Hope you like salt, they will be delivering it by the block on your main course. Service was ok, they at least were trying. It's quite clear that they have not been trained to a level expected for a $100 / person meal. That is not their fault, 100% fault of management. Just simple stuff... Cup Saucers are not Appetizer Plates, Steak Knives before the Filet arrives, Butter for the Bread (foil wrapped pats). Clearly a problem with management. Limited menu, managment. Untrained staff, management. Someone will need to realize quickly that this place cannot live on view alone for very long. Sad really, it's a great view.

    Very disappointed for the escalated pricing. A 4 oz filet for 68$ and 3 scallops for 58$. What a joke, we dine all over the country and this was one of the most mediocre meals we have had for the price. Filet had no flavor

    When I set our reservation I reserved for the "high top" seating and when we arrived they gave us regular seating. When I asked about the high top seating they had no idea what I was talking about. Our server wasnt very good. I feel like I got bamboozled into buying something I didnt want. When we ordered our food she asked what soup or salad we wanted with our meal. I was under the impression we got to choose cause it came with the meal. Then when I got the bill, I found it was a seprate charge. When I asked our server about the extra charge she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about and stated everything on our menu is charged sir. Had she informed me it was an extra charge instead of seeming like it comes with our meal I wouldnt have agreed to the salad. Yes this restaurant is "fancy" for people like me. The last thing I would expect is to feel like I got shaded over a salad. But it happened.

    We sat near the entrance/elevator where the ceiling is very high. We felt a bit isolated, as the restaurant wasn’t full. The food was very good but priced high. Scallops excellent, filet excellent, chicken very good. Spent pre-dinner time at the bar, which I would highly recommend. Friendly server, good charcuterie board, good drinks, good view.

    This was New Year’s brunch. The tables were bleak with no centerpieces or decor to signify that it was New Year’s Day. …It was disappointing that there was no festive feel for a holiday whatsoever. Our service was fine, but it was a buffet brunch where the service was really our own. The food was cold, ( think cold eggs Benedict…ewwwww….) the sausages were dried up like sausage jerky. The Buffet table had food and crumbs all over it. The carving station served beef that was well done and dried out. Honestly, there wasn’t anything I ate that was good at all. This was absolutely one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in recent memory. It’s a shame because the venue has the view. But the restaurant has done nothing to add ambience, and the food was beyond horrible. The Grand Traverse resort is undergoing a renovation and hopefully that will include this restaurant.

    We were there for the New Year's Brunch Buffet. The food was not the greatest, much of it was overcooked from being out to long. The omelet and roast beef were great. The deserts were good except for the Creme Brulee which should have been heated on top just prior to serving but was just sitting out and cold on top (crusty). The atmosphere and service were top notch.

    Buffet choices were limited and cold. No staff closing the buffet lids meant all the entrees were cold. This used to be a wonderful brunch, now definitely sub-par and very expensive for what you get. Dessert table, in contrast, was excellent.

    For a special event the service staff was not up to par. Upon arrival they tried to seat our reservation for 6 at a larger table set for 10 and we had to ask twice to be moved to a table set for 6. Our server could not remember who ordered which cocktail and we had to pass them down the table to the correct person each time. Dinner service was slow when we were one of only a few tables in the restaurant for our 6:45 reservation. Five of the 6 entrees were served at the same time but the 6th (Vegetarian) came out at least 10 minutes later than the rest of ours. It was embarrassing to have all of us eating but one person. Although the food was good, I would say the preparation was not on par. The salmon and the starch served with it were very dry. The Octopus was very tough/chewy. All six of us were happy with our appetizer and dessert courses.

    We were disappointed that there was no prime rib offered.😥😥 The cake with berries and whipped cream on it was delicious. The ham was also very juicy and tender. I never got there in time for strawberries In the fruit dish. The room was very cold to the point where I had to go get my coat. We were very happy to have a place open on Christmas Day to serve us a good meal. Please have prime rib next year so my brother and husband can be delighted🤩🤩

    Food was complicated. We were looking for more traditional fare. The chicken dish was unappetizing just looking at the colors. Adobe brown and Avacodo cream. It was tough and no flavor. Cold cabbage as its counterpart didn’t add anything to the dish. I picked it cuz I love chicken, my mistake. My husbands steak was very good but the presentation surrounded with huge amount of Brussels sprouts was too much. It was a big plate of brown. I expected a more elegant presentation to match the restaurant. I would recommend the restaurant with conditions.

    Terrible service. Took forever to get out bottle of wine. Had to ask a second time for bread as she forgo the first time. Sat for 20+ minutes just with water eating for drinks a bread. Food was tasty and good but this place is a zero for me due to service. They were not even busy no excuses

    Sad to say the food was very high priced and not worth the price. The food itself was mediocre.... The service was very good.... The menu is very limited, not many choices. Very sad because it is a beautiful venue. The place was almost empty. When all the other good restaurants in Traverse CIty were full with no reservations available.. it was easy to see why there were openings here. Sure hope this could improve... thank you
