    Very disappointed with thanksgiving buffet. Have attended few times previously and enjoyed. This time only turkey at the carving station and out of short ribs. Price increased but choice decreased.

    We were there for the first time to celebrate Thanksgiving. Management graciously accommodated our seating preference, the food was delicious, service exceptional and the view a wonderful bonus! We will return.

    The price had gone up significantly since last Thanksgiving. That was an unpleasant surprise, but what was more disturbing is that, in addition to a $50 per person fee for the buffet, we were charged an additional $5.00 for coffee! Given the price of the buffet, the Aerie certainly could have included this at no additional charge. In the past, not only were drinks like coffee, tea and juice included, but we also received a small glass of champagne. While the food was good and the service adequate, the total price was a bit over the top.

    Service and flavor of the food was good. One thing that elevated the experience was the greater’s/supervisor’s customer service. I had left my card in the restaurant and they brought it to me in the lobby area. The food offering was fair with a long wait for omelets. We don’t eat meat or dairy and the signage was vague.

    The service was wonderful, everyone was very nice and accommodating and Madison was very attentive! The sea bass was AMAZING, melt in your mouth, and the sauce that came with it was absolutely delicious (probably the best I’ve ever had). The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is for the scallops. They were very tough and not flavorful, and on top of that it was $33 extra to add them (only two scallops for $33). Otherwise, the rest of the food was great!

    We have always gone to the Sunday Brunch on a holiday and the food was wonderful. This time we went on a regular Sunday. It was AWFUL. There was NO carving station, no soup, three mediocre salads and EVERYTHING at the HOT buffet table was COLD. We couldn't believe it. The ONLY good thing was the omelette station. $35/person for that is RIDICULOUS!

    From the atmosphere to the drinks and the food this place is a hidden gem. I have never had a restaurant manager be so receptive and observe them help out staff. The manager herself waited on my husband and I. I will defiantly be visiting this spot again- outstanding!

    I came here for the special annual Jamaican Night dinner which I was hoping would be extra special but boy was I disappointed. It was a five course prix fix meal but I feel I have to break it down by courses to explain why I was not happy. The first course soup was excellent but barely luke warm and I was served only a 1/2 cup serving in my cup of soup and my wife's. You could have at least given us a full cup! Were they running out of soup? For the second course I had a side salad with a special mango dressing and although there was very little mango flavor it was at least fresh and passable. Maybe next time put some mango slices in it for a little more flavor and color? Then came the conch fritters for my third course. Not what I was hoping for! They were more like flavorless little flat pancakes that were undercooked and greasy and again served luke warm. What's going on in that kitchen?? The spicy remoulade dipping sauce that came with them was the only thing that made them worth eating. For my main course I had the goat stew which was excellent and thankfully served hot with some perfectly cooked rice. The best thing I ate that night by far! For desert I had a really nice sweet potato pudding that was delicious but I was a bit too full to finish eating it. Maybe I should have had desert first! The service was on top of things mostly although I had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to refill my water glass at one point. And as far as that goes I don't know why I was being served cold food. It could be that the server was not picking up her orders promptly and they have no heat lamps or it could be something else going on in the kitchen. But any rate I feel there is no excuse for being served cold food. For me the very first requirement for when I eat out is that the food at least be hot. I thought Aerie was supposed to be a top notch fancy restaurant but apparently I was wrong.

    We dined at Aerie for their Jamaican Special night. It was very good food, consisting of a 5 course dinner. We were stuffed and took some home. The Jamaican wait staff were so much fun to talk to as well. The view of the peak fall colors was amazing from our seat. Great dinner out.

    The quality of food was good, but there should have been more options for the price and Brunch Buffet advertising. You had to wait in the omelette station line if you wanted any eggs. I know hot dishes on a buffet are challenging, but theirs could have been warmer. There was an abundance of desserts to choose from.

    Brunch was very good but a bit overpriced. However, the view from the 16th floor with the changing colors of trees definitely made up for it! Our Server was very attentive! Definitely would do again for a special occasion.

    Beautiful views of Fall colors. Salmon particularly good. Specialty drinks and desserts made this luncheon special. Booths too tight, changed to table.

    Lovely atmosphere and views. The service was excellent! Alcoholic beverages were unique, but expensive. Salmon lunch was beautifully plated and tasty. Butternut squash soup...delicious!

    High expectations especially considering the menu item prices. I had scallops my wife had an 8oz filet mignon as our entrée. Sides were fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus. Scallops cooked to perfection but overly salted on top for the seared crust. Wife's filet was even more overly salted. It's as if it was being prepared for bring made into beef Jerry. The filet was returned, remade and still returned overly seasoned even though request as no seasoning. Add to this the fingerling potatoes were salted and served with a generous portion of parmesan cheese (more salt) un edible. Asparagus was served with a seasoned cracker crumble that was too generously "sprinkled" or heaped which of course was......more over saltiness. The overpriced salads were fine. The wine was fine....thank goodness they came from a bottle at the bar and not the kitchen. The bill was delivered by a less than attentive server that had been adjusted to remove the cost of the $80 filet but still totaled $204 after 2 desserts and coffee were added. Big birthday disappointment for my wife and so much less than was expected from our stay and experiences here at the Grand Traverse Resort. We may stay at the resort again in the future but will definitely be dining at other establishments in the city.

    Service outstanding! Food was excellent except for desserts. Pumpkin tiramisu was dry. Prices did not reflect menu from website. Other than that , we had a great experience.

    Absolutely fabulous for a special occasion or just a special day with a friend or two. A bit pricey to frequent, but worth it! Beautiful surroundings. Excellent, excellent food and service.

    What a beautiful setting for a special occasion dinner. The food and staff were amazing. I’m not sure I would go back and do a 4 course meal again. Prices a little out of my budget.

    We went there for brunch for my daughters birthday celebration. The host was not there when we arrived for our reservation and there was a line of people waiting to be seated. Once they did come we got sat quickly and the waiter came over quickly and got us our drinks. After that it was self service. We waited a while for the omelette station but overall the food was good and the place was clean. It was a bit overpriced for the buffet. We enjoyed the restaurant and would go again.

    Way to expensive for me. The food was a 7 out of 10. They are trying to be a 5 star but they are way from reaching their goal. My steak was small and overpriced and fingerling potatoes were a mess and olive bread was a joke. Last time I eat there.

    This was an amazing family memory made! The view is stunning and the service remarkable! Our waiter, Christian, was engaging and helpful and found a way to help our little picky eater happy. The food was UNBELIEVABLE! Everything everyone had was delicious and the cocktails were beautiful. We all left promising to make it a tradition.

    We were there for Sunday brunch at 10am and celebrating our 50th anniversary. The food was prepared fine but most of the hot food was cold. They compensated us but it was a very disappointing way to end our weekend getaway.
