Aerie Restaurant & Lounge
Some of the food that was self served was lukewarm to cold
Prime rib had a lot of fat to it
This is the fifth time We have eaten there under the new station set up and we like it a lot better
Fantastic service and our meal was delicious. Top it all off with a gorgeous sunset from 16 floors up & you get a memorable boujee girls night out!
We had a wonderful experience. We did go during restaurant week, so we didn't try their normal menu. But the food was outstanding, (except dessert), service was perfect and the value was there. Really nice place to have dinner.
Dessert felt like they just tossed in some desserts that you could buy at Meijer. Most of the other restaurants in town really seemed to make an effort on all 3 courses, but the desserts fell short here.
Service & food are always outstanding. And the view from Aerie's 16th floor location - INCREDIBLE !!
The meal was fantastic. My wife commented: this is how salmon should be cooked. Very pleased and we will be back.
The food was great, the service was excellent and the view is always beautiful.
We went with another couple to Aerie during restaurant week. The food was amazing and was enjoyed by everyone. No complaints. The restaurant was busy so service was just a little slower than normal but was still excellent. The restaurant manager, Alex was helping bring meals to the table and kept wait times to a minimum. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The view is spectacular and we were able to watch the sunset from our where we sat.
Great food and our server, Chad, was personable and knowledgeable about the menu. Aerie is the best place in Traverse City to watch the sunset.
The atmosphere was perfect for the occasion we came for. The food was absolutely wonderful, and surprisingly filling! The outside view from our table was wonderful as well. We were very pleased with our dining experience at Aerie.
Great food, delightful atmosphere, service was nice and polite, but was slow and took quite awhile to return with drink and food orders
Chad was an outstanding server. He was very attentive but not overbearing. Our table was warm, which in that venue on a cold February night is great. The food was excellent. Well done!
Aerie does a wonderful job of creating a fine dining atmosphere. You never feel rushed, and the large windows give it an open, incredibly scenic view.
Food was way overpriced for what they offered and mediocre at best. Could have gotten the same food at Applebee’s and it would have tasted the same. Disappointed to say the least.
My wife and I had the filet, different 1st courses, and the triple chocolate cheesecake. The filet was below par, honestly I'd say average. We both had filets the following night at the Re/Max gala that blew ours away. I was shocked, nothing worth complaining about to staff, but definitely not worth the $75 price tag. Mine was prepared chefs choice and my wife's was prepared medium well. The flavor was lacking, the meet choice was tough and left me chewing through serious layers of fat or silver skin? I had to swallow or spit out 3 medium size peices... Not at $75 a meal. The other courses were amazing and Paige our server was hilarious. The drinks were delicious and we'll crafted.
This was our first visit to Aerie. We went for Sunday Brunch and really enjoyed ourselves. They had a great assortments of choices and the service was excellent., I would say that the choices, while good, were nothing out of the ordinary. Omelets, bacon/sausage, fruits, pastries, carving table. Although with that said, their slightly hidden-around-the-corner dessert table had some delicious treats! I would definitely go again.
The service is outstanding. Everything about the dining experience was fantastic. My only request would be a 15 percent increase to the portion size of the dinner entrees.
Spouse is gluten intolerant, and Aerie did an excellent job of providing and explaining choices. The scenery, food, and staff were outstanding for our Sunday brunch buffet.
Celebrating a birthday with three children ages ten and under, and four adults, we received consistently patient and attentive service. The server accommodated our needs graciously and checked back with us frequently. The nearly 3-year-old loved being at the head of the table, and was enthusiastic about his meal
of yummy mac n cheese, as was the ten-year old. The adults savored the two appetizers, pork belly the older couple was appreciative of the salmon special and the pear salad. It was truly a relaxing and celebratory meal. We make Aerie a first choicer special occasions due to well-paced and attentive service and consistently tasty and beautifully presented meals.
Limited menu for NYE. The presentation & service did not match price. Beautiful restaurant.
It was my birthday and I would have appreciated some type of “birthday gesture”. I did list that it was my birthday on the reservation. It could have been a simple gesture like a card, small dessert, acknowledgment from the host/waitress. I ordered the filet but was disappointed to get to starches for $46.00. Why would you serve mashed potatoes and con fit potatoes? I would have appreciated a vegetable for sure!!! The waitress was great. She did bring Brussels sprouts at my request. All in all, the ambiance and waitress were great. The food did not satisfy me for the price!!
The hostesses were extremely rude and passive aggressive. I’ve never encountered anything like it.
The waiter and many of the staff kept complaining they had been there since 8am.
We come every year from down state. 8 years now.
We won’t be back next year.
This was our second year in a row eating Christmas Day Dinner at the Aerie. Last year we crashed without reservations and they accomidated us. This year had our reservation for 3 p.m.. The food was again amazing. Also the bread pudding on the desert table was to die for "YUMMY" and warm.
Slightly annoying to have to wait for a table when a reservation was booked a month ago. Once we were seated, everything was wonderful as usual. I was a little disappointed in the desserts, We didn't enjoy them as we have previously. The food was excellent.
Thank you for having us.
The reason I gave only 4 stars is when we were at Aerie for Christmas 4 years ago, there was a much larger selection of food including breakfast items since we went at noon and I assumed it was brunch. The food that was there was delicious and the service was excellent.
The food was about average for a holiday buffet, although I would highly recommend the loaded potato soup and the kale and roasted cauliflower salad. Both were wonderful! The service was very good, if a bit too cheery, but the curved, raised booth was not comfortable at all. I'd recommend you request a regular table. The coffee was served piping hot and was very good and the dessert table had many beautiful, tasty creations. My favorite was the chocolate silk pie.
Once again we tried the buffet meal, this time for Christmas and once again the quality of the food was the same. Almost all of the warm food was on the dry side and although not bad tasting just not outstanding. I can cook food just as good for less $. The best of course was the desserts because they don't get dried out and bland like the rest of the buffet. I guess for $35 per person (I think that was the charge) this is as good as it gets for TC area. I don't know because I do not go out to eat very often, just for this reason. The views are outstanding and service is very good so overall pretty good.
Maybe I should go there and try something off the menu and see if quality improves. But think I might try some other places first and find out if everyone serves mediocre food for $35-$45. Then I will know if this is the standard for area restaurants. God help us if I find out I need to spend $100 per person to find outstanding food. I will stay home and cook if that is the case, but I will miss those desserts.
When people come in and they are 6.5feet tall, please, please do not seat them in those little half round tables that have the step up. MY HUSBAND DID NOT FIT. It was extremely uncomfortable. Otherwise the meal was good.
Amazing atmosphere for an intimate and romantic dinner. The service was excellent and the food was delicious and reasonably priced!
The overall experience is very nice at this restaurant, entrees are a little pricey but the view and service are wonderful.
We dined here on December 6th for our Anniversary and we had a wonderful time, food was amazing and staff was fantastic. Everyone was nice and friendly and helpful and signed a card and gave to us for our anniversary. I would recommend this to anyone looking to celebrate a birthday or anniversary we had a wonderful experience.
Came for Sunday brunch. Incredibly disappointed! Most buffet items that should have been hot were cold, even poached eggs! Yuck!! Made to order eggs and omelettes were good, but not exceptional. Sweet items were not homemade, just so so and cloyingly sweet. Honestly, it was just not good for the price. Will not return!
Wonderful Thanksgiving Day buffet. Nice selection of of dishes and the quality was outstanding. Plan to return again.
Thanksgiving dinner. Buffet included traditional favorites along with non traditional choices.
Wonderful Thanksgiving feast
Fantastic evening dining with my wife .We were impressed by the beautiful Christmas lights along the road leading to the parking lot followed by a beautiful Christmas tree in the main lobby my wife had to have her picture taken in front of the tree. The meal was fantastic
Delicious meal and wonderful service (thank you Patrick!). A must when we stay at the grand traverse resort. We were a bit surprised by the recently updated menu, which was missing my husband’s favorite dish. He found something else that was delicious.
The food was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive without being overbearing. The view from a booth was good, however it would be outstanding in the summer when it's daylight during the dinner hour. You look out over East Bay.
Great Food. Filets properly cooked medium and medium rare and add on scallops were delicious. Our server Patrick was kind informative and not overbearing. Would definitely reccomend for a great date spot.
We were so fortunate to meet friends to share brunch on Sunday. The views as always were spectacular! The food was sensational, lots of it staged beautifully, warm if it needed to be and everything we tried was super delicious. Each person manning the stations proved to be friendly, cheerful and eager to be certain our wants were accommodated. Can't wait to go back again.
Wonderful atmosphere, fantastic food and marvelous service!
