From the very beginning everything was outstanding. The ease of reservations online made it hassle free and we didn’t have to wait for a table. We were greeted by name, escorted to our table and our server arrived promptly. The entire experience was beautiful from the amazing food, superb service, gorgeous views... this restaurant has it all... and more! Thanks for an amazing evening!
Vacation with girlfriend. Went to this place twice. Both times were very nice. Food was great. Service was great. Selection was limited but was worth it for what they had. Wine prices were very reasonable. Amazing selection of wine by the glass or bottle.
Went to Aerie’s Dec 31. Cherry Vodka Sour and Moscato tasted good. Vegetable tempura was very bland, and it looked like they just threw the vegetables into a deep fryer for a while. They The accompanying sauce didn’t have any flavor. What was that? The squash soup was sickly sweet and had a burnt marshmallow on it, and it tasted awful. I’ve had better squash soup at Panera. The chicken tasted ok, but the portions were very tiny. We didn’t even both ordering dessert because we were already up to $82 by this alone. It was quite a let down. I expected to go to an elegant rooftop restaurant, and try something new and be dazzled. It was just another disappointment.
We have been going to Aerie for years and absolutely love it. The last time we went, the food was not as good as expected, but everything else was still great. We will definitely go back sometime.
We make a tradition of coming to Christmas dinner here as a family. We enjoy the choices and the atmosphere. Our reservation was at 6:00 this year, which, apparently, must have been the last seating. While there was food left, none of it was being replenished and we were not able to have prime rib or many of the desserts. My feeling is that the availability for the food options should be the same whether you come for dinner at 3:00 or at 6:00, so that was disappointing. In the future, we will come to an earlier seating with the expectation that everything will be available. You may want to note the times in the future so that others may avoid this issue...or have food prepared so that the last diners also have a full complement of food choices.
We have expectations for Aerie and never disappointed. It was a wonderful Christmas dinner in all aspects.
Having been to Aerie numerous times we were disappointed with the Christmas buffet this year. The selection of appetizing options was lacking unfortunately. The children's buffet table was more appealing, and we weren't the only guests to feel this way. Hopefully their next special buffet will be better. Also, our service was great, once we received some. We had to wait an exceptionally long time to be acknowledged however. Evidently there was some miscommunication.
Great view of the bay and surrounding area on the 19th floor. We did the Christmas brunch which had 5 different main entrees, many salads and sides and great dessert table. The food was all fresh and succulent, which is not always the case for buffet. Staff was very attentive with good service.
Visited last week and enjoyed a flawless meal. Excellent!
The food was awesome, there was a dessert I really wanted to try but it wasn’t on the menus to make room for the winter seasonal desserts( the desserts on the menu were good but I’m definitely coming back for the original dessert I wanted). Our server was slow and we could see him chatting with the hostess, he was super friendly though just not very fast.
Did a daddy daughter date with my daughter, it was a great experience. Alex the manager was a very nice guy they were very accommodating.
The food was wonderful and the service was excellent.
So impressive. Wonderful food and service!
The staff was very friendly and professional. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The view is awesome.
Excellent food and drinks. Great view in the summer evenings. Only complaint is the room was a little too cold for comfort, but that could be said for any restaurant in TC.
It was loud and chilly.
Some of the food was good while others dining with us had overly salty dressing on their salads. My daughters vegetarian meal was ( vegetable terrine) burned. They ran out of one of the desserts.
Our waiter was the very best!! He was so helpful and we enjoyed the conversation we had with him throughout our meal.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere.
We started off poorly as we were told by a host we had to wait until the 5:15 scheduled time. No problem except when 5:20 hit and another party of two showed up with a 5:30 reservation and were sat first. I had to remind the host we checked in 25 minutes prior to our reservation.
We were able to access our buffet dinner soon after being sat 15 minutes late but none of the food was hot, to say it was warm would be a compliment. It was very good but if I wanted cold food I would’ve stayed home and eaten leftovers from my fridge. After our first course of salads we got up for our main course but returned with all silverware and napkins missing. We waited a few minutes patiently but had to ask for new napkins and silverware. After our main course we were ready for dessert...no pie was available.
So my Thanksgiving meal was late, lukewarm and without pie for dessert. Not anything like the year prior which was a positive experience from top to bottom.
The wait staff outside of the inattentive host personnel was outstanding. But it’s unlikely this establishment will get any of my money or that of family or friends ever again.
My family went for Thanksgiving dinner and we were more than satisfied. Great selection of food and the bread pudding was delicious.
We had guest in for the holiday and decided to eat out.
Very nice very clean and fantastic food.
Also the service was exceptional.
Great views of the bay.
Great Thanksgiving Dinner. Promptly seated, good view, pleasant staff and great food.
The Aerie restaurant Thanksgiving was a very lovely and excellent value. The buffet had offerings for all and a very cute little kid buffet for children. Given the atmosphere and apparent goal of fine dining, Aerie might benefit from a more fine dining service style; however, the current staff was genuine, attentive and extraordinarily helpful. A delicious Thanksgiving!
Attended a Thanksgiving brunch. Turkey, pork and cranberries were excellent. The beef was well done and tough while the dressing was out of the box and dry, potato’s were also dried out. Overall the food was marginal and at $30.00 well over priced for the offering. This was the third holiday brunch I had attended at Aerie and will be the last as each time it had disappointed.
We have been coming here for over 30 years. Never in our history have I ever experienced the awful food we ate for Thanksgiving! The mashed potatoes had no moisture to them . Completely dried out . Not to mention the turkey was horrible!
Service was great and the people rock !!
But over priced for what u receive. It’s not funny when you walk away hungry for the food you were expecting to be great and your stuck having the food wasted and thrown away because it doesn’t taste good for $32.95 for your meal !
An amazing view. The staff is very attentive but not obtrusive. Great food, cooked perfectly with a beautiful presentation. Desert with coffee was wonderful! Truly an amazing place for a romantic dinner!
Attended the Aerie brunch for the first time. Service was great and the "huge" buffet tastefully presented. We skipped the omelette station in favor of luncheon items, but the omelettes looked great. Luncheon selections were very good. Don't miss the cherry bread pudding, with real whipped cream!
We are veterans of the Sunday brunch at Aerie but this time the menu was too exotic. Wired stuff like ostrich Eggs Benedict. Other than the omelet station there wasn’t much traditional brunch fare. We were disappointed.
Excellent everything! Can't to go back!! The food was delicious and our server Mike was very attentive and personable. We received 5 star treatment as if we were celebrities!
It was one of the worst dining experiences we have had. We were sat and left for almost 15 minutes without a server coming to take a drink order. When she did she had no advice or conversation of what we asked about. Then did not return with our drinks for another 10 minutes. The food was prepared cold and was awful. We received a basket of bread an hour after we sat and just minutes before the main dish came out. We had to remind our server of the salads we ordered which then came out after the main dishes were on the table. The manager finally came over and him apologizing was the only positive part of the experience. We will never return, advice people to go elsewhere. It was the worst dining experience when it comes to service and food quality that I have had in years.
Our waiter was amazing! We celebrated 20 years of being together and he made it special! The food was great and the view is just stunning!
Really good place for a date night. The food is really good and the drink menu is varied. Service is too notch.
Beautiful setting and great food! Great wine! Good place for family dinner.
I have frequented Aerie Restaurant & Lounge many, many times over the years for business functions, during conferences, Christmas parties, for special occasions, brunch and much more.
The staff is always TOP notch, the food quality is always fresh and gets the attention it deserves, the menu options are always exciting + creative and you can always expect to have a memorable experience.
I would suggest Aerie Restaurant & Lounge to anyone and they are great to work with on events too.
Manager Alex Truck, who had kindly rescheduled our reservation, warmly welcomed us with a friendly personal greeting that gave us the feeling of being special. Our waitress Melissia was attentive, patient, knowledgeable -- overall excellent.
Outstanding view of the area while enjoying the brunch. Tried the scotch eggs which were excellent, never heard of them before. The shepards pie was the tastiest item I tried.
The food was eh.... If the prices were a little lower I’d have been happier. Beautiful view and excellent service!
Great service. Food was fresh and quickly brought out. They were also very considerate of my 1st anniversary, and the servers were gracious.
Great views of the Michigan bays and fall colors.
This is a must if you are in the city. The service was amazing, the food was great and the staff was friendly. Would go back a thousand times over. Am going to miss it!
Amazing! Food was spectacular and service was great!
