Accent European Lounge Ratings and Reviews
Beef tartare amazing as always but maybe a little too warm, remember it being much more cooler. Our server was nice but one server for a full house means extremely slow service. I feel bad for the amount of stress this may cause staff. Waited about 30 mins after we finished eating before I had to grab her to get our bill. Would always return as this place is a great gem of Whyte Ave but please put another person on the floor!
I found the food to be absolutely above average. I ordered the tenderloin sandwich with fries and greens. We found everything, even the fries, to be very very good.
Excellent selection of small brewery beers, and lots of local to choose from.
We enjoyed the relative silence of the space on a Friday night, and the service was good without being overwhelming. I would recommend it.
I have been to Accent Lounge several times and have not been disappointed. You do have to be aware that as a small restaurant they do order limited food and on occasion will run out of ingredients. The highlight of this restaurant for me is the beef tartare. Best I have ever had and consistent each time. I would recommend thus restaurant without hesitation.
My boyfriend took us here on a date before a show. The food was delicious and came to the table piping hot. Tried a fantastic local beer. It's a small place so reserve early if you want more of a quiet atmosphere. I wanted to try the steak but they were out that day. I had the salmon and it was a more than fair substitute. My date had the chicken shitzel , also delicious.
The food was good but not great. We would recommend the salads and the delicious goulash, but the schnitzel -- listed on the menu as a signature dish -- was just okay. Service was excellent, and the restaurant is well located for dinner before a show at the Walterdale, so we would definitely give it another try.
A cute place. We used a deal off yelp nd we’re quite excited to try this restaurant after reading all the reviews! We had the spicy shrimp to start. It was extremely bland. There was no flavour except that of the shrimp. I wanted to ask for salt. To add anything to them. I had the Lobster wrapped bacon. Again the cream sauce on top was bland. I believe it was a Hollandaise. It tasted like air. I should add that everything was cooked perfectly!! It was just lacking in flavour. My BF has the salmon. It was good but the noodles it came with with just tossed in olive oil. So bland again. A nice rose sauce would have added to it perfect. I will definitely try this again and hope the cooks just had a busy night. It was also pretty tight quarters with. Cozy feel. Staff was attentive and great. I asked what kind of coffee they served and the server told me nothing exciting. They got it from Costco. That was too bad they didn’thave a great cup of coffee to come me the night.
First time at this restaurant so we didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the food, service and ambiance. Large portions of tasty food. A complete meal with lots of veggies and sides which were cooked perfectly. The waitress was very friendly and we really enjoyed our experience. As a good cook myself, this is high praise coming from me as I am usually disappointed in restaurant food. Left one star on the 'overall' because there is always room for improvement with any business. Well done accent lounge. We'll be back.
After making a reservation through Open Table, which was accepted, my guest and I arrived approximately 15 minutes early.
A male server addressed us and put us at a table that was directly where draft from the door caused a cold wind. I saw other patrons with their coats on, I decided to do the same. I asked the male server to be moved to a table that was away from the door, where he was cleaning a table for two. He stated that there was a large group coming in which the table was included.
Shortly afterward, a female server seated two people at the table I requested.
I watched how the male server had put persons from one table to another.
There was another table open, not related to the large group, open. This was not offered.
The food was okay to eat. The curry was tasteful. The mushroom mashed potato was bland.
The dessert was tasteful.
The female server did speak with the owner. The owner gave us the dessert for free.
I was treated by the male server like my patronage was not wanted and the service I received, for the most part, showed that we were not wanted for the most part.
We'd been to Accent before and liked it, but this time was not so good. The main course steak was very small. The pork schnitzel had a very long hair baked into the coating. Yech! The service was okay, but not great....a bit slow even though the place wasn't very busy. Normally, the food is better than average, but considering the price (high), the latest visit was a disappointment.
