   Always amazing. Gnocchi was to die for, light as a feather and melted in mouth, yum. Service great with attention to details. Wished you had dark napkins as the white leaves white lent on dark clothes, but I don’t care as I will keep returning to my favorite French bistro.

   First time food was disappointing. Oysters were so small could barely see them for 5$ a piece.

   We have had consistently outstanding experiences at absent, I would like to say for about 12 years (if this is possible). It is a wonderful pre-concert restaurant, which has never ever let us down. I am grateful that they are in San Francisco.

   A lovely bistro to enjoy a brunch/lunch before a weekend performance. Highly recommend the crab salad, if in season. For those who can’t have grapefruit, ask for the orange substitute. Great service.

   Food was outstanding and very creative; our server was excellent. We talked about some of the dishes and their preparation and ingredients.

   We had a brunch/early lunch before a performance at SF Jazz on a Saturday. There were few people in the restaurant because other performances wouldn't start for a while. Absinthe is an institution, it mimics a Parisian bistro and does it well, while nodding to the local farms and fisheries. Fresh oysters and Dungeness Crab were on the menu. Service provided by a man of a certain age with old world manors and a California sense of humor was attentive without being cloying. We will continue to enjoy Absinthe when we can reserve a table.

   Our meal was amazing. The service was exceptional. A little pricey but in my mind worth it. Great menu and wine selection. Cheers

    I have eaten here many times. I love the ambiance, the location and best of all, the food. It has both a French and a San Francisco feel.
