We went to Abigails for our anniversary. The wait staff is great! The service was very good. It was Sunday and brunch was being served. It was just so so. The biscuits and gravy were awful, the bit of sausage was deep fried anddried and the biscuit was awful with two spoonfuls of gravy.

Generally, we love Abigails and go there for dinner or lunch but very disappointed in brunch.

I had a dinner voucher, but I will definitely go back. The wine was great and so were the entrees. Too bad we had no room for dessert!

The building is interesting. The outside seating is nice, but there is excessive traffic noise from Routes 10 / 202. The wait staff is fine. The choices available from the lunch menu were fairly standard. The food was OK, but nothing to write home about. Having lunch here is a safe bet – not the best, but not likely to disappoint either.

We have visited Abigail's several times. The food has always been delicious, and our meal this time was also delicious. My wife had the salmon entree and I had the lobster pasta entree. Hmmmm!
I was disappointed however that we were not offered the prix fixe menu. I assumed that perhaps that it was no longer a available. Later in the visit I noticed that the table to the right of us was given the prix fixe menus by our server.
Also, it took forever for our drinks to arrive.
So...Great food, so so service. This was the first time in 5 visits that the service was sub par.
We will visit again.
Notes: Their brunch is fantastic, as is the prix fixe menu. Every meal we have had here has been a home run.

We have dined at Abigail's and other Mill Restaurant Group restaurants on many occasions, and have generally always had good experiences. We chose Abigail's, last night, for a birthday celebration. On our OpenTable reservation, I specifically asked to be seated in the glass-enclosed porch or terrace room, and requested a birthday dessert. When we arrived, we were led to a dark table right outside the kitchen. I mentioned that we had requested the garden or terrace room, and were then taken to one of a few available tables in that area. The restaurant, also, did not offer any kind of birthday dessert. No mention of a birthday at all. It didn't seem worth bringing it up, but I thought it would be nice to surprise our "birthday girl", and was disappointed that nothing was done.

Aside from that, the food and service were very good, as usual. Just a little disappointed in the fact that no attention was paid to the requests I made on our reservation.

Abigail's is a lovely house converted into a lively restaurant years ago. Now owned by the Mill on the River group, Abigails's rivals The Mill on the River flagship restaurant. Outstanding food, plated beautifully, served without a hitch. Waitstaff and kitchen very accommodating for dietary needs. Just a lovely restaurant. Worth making reservations or waiting for a table,mix needed.

The staff was professional and courteous. They acknowledged my wife's birthday and provided us seating in a great location. Our server, Meagan was very pleasant and informative with a wonderful personality.

The two hostesses greeted us with Happy Anniversary (our reason for dinner) as did our Server, Mill 2, (unfortunately we didn't recall his name) who was very attentive. As usual, we had a great time at our favorite table with great food!

Lovely evening for an outdoor dinner. Very good ribeye steak, charcoal on outside, juicy medium rare on inside. Wonderful oysters. Will go back soon.

Abigail's has a warm and inviting atmosphere that truly pleases your senses with it's comfortable setting. Our server was Billie and she made sure that our food was prepared exactly as we wished and she was attentive to our needs without being intrusive. Our party of four all had clean plates by the end of our meal - a true testament to the quality and flavor of our dinner selections. Looking forward to our next visit!

My wife and I had a gift certificate to use from CT Restaurant association and found this restaurant on their list. Have driven by this place several times but never thought twice of checking out the menu. Needless to say it was excellent. The portions were unbelievable yet inviting. The ambience is excellent and the dining is moderate to upscale. I had the NY Strip and could not even finish the entire 15oz coupled with the sides. My wife loved her Salmon citing it may have been the best she has ever had. The dessert was unreal, a warm chocolote cake topped with a peanut butter gnoche and vanilla ice cream. Needless to say we will be back.
