I ordered the 8oz fillet mignon. It was cooked to perfection. The garlic mashed were delicious. The house salad was amazing.
We were traveling for business. My husband had eaten here a few days before us and was very excited to share it with me. They had the doors open as it was such a beautiful day but it also made the restaurant cold. I had to keep my coat on until they closed the doors. We waited for 20 minutes for a waiter to acknowledge us. We got waters and bread immediately but then no waiter. We watched everyone being served around us, look directly at us but nothing. My husband finally got someone’s attention and our waiter finally came over. He was very attentive afterwards and throughout the meal. My husband had the Rib Eye. As good as his bone in filet was in his previous dinner was how bad the rib eye was. I had the 1 1/2 lb lobster. It was flavorful and cooked perfectly but because it was so cold in the restaurant the butter and lobster got cold quickly. I would be open to trying it again as the atmosphere was delightful but our experience was not worth the cost of the meal.
The staff accommodated our booth requested. The Waiter was great & the food very good
Our server was outstanding! He was fun and pleasant.
Great experience highly recommend
Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants... Service is always at its finest and very attentive truly a gem
Food was not as goo as as usual . Was not hot.
in Boston , to be a successful steak house, you have to up your game, as there are at least 10 steak houses to choose from. I love the steak here, but the noise level is extremely hard to hear. All portions are good sized, and the wait staff knowledgeable. It is in top 5 for sure.
My husbands birthday dinner, we were in private room downstairs. It was quieter but we felt a bit ignored by the staff.
Unique combination of bar noise & chatty dinners - with superb food & discrete service - an unbeatable combibation. Can’t wait for next time !
Had a great dinner with my son on Saturday. We both ordered filets and they were perfectly cooked and cut like butter- delicious. I had the Abe and Louie special salad and the combination did not work. It’s not that it was bad, it just didn’t go together at all once it arrived. The service is first class and the ambiance was nice. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely return.
Great experience! The sommelier was excellent in his recommendations of red wine to be paired with our oyster appetizer and meal. The steak and swordfish were perfectly cooked and the sides were just as good. We were never rushed for our 6:30pm reservations as we had drinks downstairs at the bar from 6pm - 7pm and spent the entire evening at our dinner table. We experienced excellent service throughout the meal and were even comped two deserts after our meal. We had a great time with our waitstaff throughout the meal but they were respectful of our privacy. No, it is not an inexpensive meal, but it was very much worth it for us because of the outstanding quality of food, service and wine! A great night at Abe & Louie's....
The steaks are amazing! Full taste and super tender.
Good food, good service, super loud
Excellent experience overall. Seating very close. Didn’t expect to have dinner with strangers but everything worked out.
Our waiter Conrad was fantastic. Only one steak came that my husband did not like but he didn’t say anything because he’s not the type. It was well done when he requested medium.
Overall we all had a great night.
Great steak and friendly staff. Will go again on my next visit to Boston
Great atmosphere and decor, enjoyed the bar for a before dinner drink. Great waiter, didn't smother us. Steaks were awesome and cooked as we liked it. Pricey but worth it.
I'm picky when it comes to steak restaurants, but Abe & Louie delivered.
When I eat out at fine steak houses, I'm usually a New York or Rib-eye guy, but I changed it up and ordered the grass-fed filet. It was excellent; tasty, perfectly cooked. We had creamed spinach and sauteed asparagus, both were great. My friend had a prime New York and loved it.
My gin & tonic was good, but could have been stronger. My friend had a Boston sour; make that two.
Had a crème brûlée for dessert. It was super. Very well made and fresh fruit on top.
This is a place you go for a treat or special occasion. Very pricey but worth it overall.
Great food and experience
Great service and great food! Perfect for post-boston Marathon celebration!
Excellent high-end steak and seafood place. Class. Well dressed waiters who are professionals, like Paul who took care of us. The way many restaurants used to be. Great for post-race Marathon. Most of the patrons that evening had run, as had we. An excellent wine list and great steaks and halibut. The bread alone with salt on top was a treat. Will be back after my next Boston marathon.
Great service and food
We love Abe and Louie's Boston. When we visit it is alway on our list of restaurants. Service is outstanding and food is always fantastic!
Always have the best meal when dining at Abe & Louie’s, I live in New Jersey and visit my daughter occasionally and always dine at this restaurant, it’s my favorite. The service is great, love the cocktails served in the ice bucket, the rolls are delicious, and every meal is always done perfectly.
Went with the girls for Sunday brunch and we could not be happier with stumbling on this gem. It;s on the fancier and more expensive side, but certainly worth it. We were not dressed fancy (Boston Marathon was the next day) and we were treated like royalty.
The food, ambience and service were exquisite. Just lovely. Thank you!
Our waiter, Bobby, was wonderful! The food was excellent! He even offered us free chocolate cake after our meal to celebrate my boyfriend’s 21st birthday! Nothing but spectacular service!
We started with cocktails which were some of the best I’ve had. Our server Chris was fantastic, he was attentive, gave great suggestions. I had the filet it was tender. My husband had the Bone in Rib-eye and loved it.
80 year old father running Boston Marathon
We celebrated a birthday and the food and service was phenomenal!
we sat in booth and first out were these amazing buttered rolls that melt in your mouth.
The service was outstanding they were always bu but not hovering, Can't say enough about the food - every morsel was delicious.
Paying for valet was worth it - no driving around looking for parking!
We are definitely going back - just not near Marathon day-lol!
As always it was a wonderful time. Wait staff and food are always great.
Meeting a college friend I haven’t seen in 20 years
Our waiter was fantastic
Went for brunch. Ate at the bar here for the first time. Definitely enjoyed the personality of the bar staff Very polite and personable. Brunch is always delicious and on point
Absolutely great experience and service every single time!!
They have friendly waiters, give you good advises and the food is really good for a fair price.
Excellent lunch spot.
Food was very good.
Food was great! Although we all had the sea bass, I’m sure the steaks would be excellent. Two of us had martinis which were yummy (and strong!). Wine was fairly expensive. It was busy, even though it was a regular weeknight but the service was fairly prompt for the most part. Dessert was also a hit- we had creme brûlée and the bread pudding and I would order either again!
Perfectly cooked steaks and fish. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meal.
I try to make it a point to visit Abe and Louie’s when I am in Boston.
