Abe and Louie's Boston Ratings and Reviews
If you are looking for quiet conversation, this is not the place. I dined on Dec 14, 2017 a Thursday night. Was it office party night?
The steaks and sides were very good, one steak had to be sent back to the kitchen as it was too rare and it took a very long time. Overall, the atmosphere was close to frantic. The waitstaff on the other hand, was exceptional.
Had a great time for brunch at Abe and Louie’s! Drew was a fantastic server who was wonderful at engaging with our table!! He should be recognized as a great brand ambassador for your restaurant. Additionally, food was timely and tasted great, and there was a jazz ensemble who added to the already great experience. Overall, I would definitely recommend Abe and Louie’s for brunch get together with friends!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience! The service was impeccable. The ambiance perfect! We had a lovely, romantic, leasurely dinner for my birthday. If there was any slight (very slight) weakness it would be that the food seemed slightly under-seasoned. Again, it was a delicious filet and I had a lovely salad to begin. They brought me dessert on the house for my birthday and they could not have been more understanding about my dairy sensitivity. This is a fabulous restaurant, maybe just ask them to kick up the seasoning a tad and then your meal will be perfect I’m sure. I would absolutely go again! We went before the Holdiay Pops and we go every year, so I can certainly expect to eat there again next year for the concert! Thank you for a lovely evening!
THIS IS PROBABLY OUR FOURTH VISIT TO ABE AND LOUIE'S, AND EVERY TIME THE
FOOD AND SERVICE HAVE BEEN IMPECCABLE. THE ROOM HAS A WARM, CLUBBY
VIBE, THE WAITERS ARE ATTENTIVE BUT NOT INTRUSIVE, AND THE STEAKS ARE
OUTSTANDING. THEY MAKE A WICKED MARTINI, AND HAVE A VARIED WINE LIST.
IT IS ALSO CONVENIENT THAT THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS OPEN FOR LUNCH, AS
MANY TOP STEAK HOUSES SUCH AS GRILL 23 ONLY OFFER DINNER NOW.
Not happy, the steal on my the steal m eggs was rare..by yhe time our, srver came and put the steak on the grill his eggs wwre cold and mysteak too..Was gross to put cunks of steak on the grill as my son cytvthrough it and no apology..my long island was watered down, and, the service was not great..
My wife and I had a great experience. There always seems to be a wait, even though we had reservations, but knowing that makes it OK for us. All the food was delicious. My wife had Caesar salad and the petite filet and I had French onion soup and bone-in NY strip. Our server, wish I could remember his name was fantastic. He realized we were not in a rush, so he paced everything perfectly. This made our dining experience exceptional!
Never had a bad experience at Abe & Louie's.
Went for my girlfriend's birthday this weekend and had a memorable dinner.
Our dinner choices:
1) Bacon Appetizer: Pretty life-changing. Thick cut, delicious high quality bacon. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
2) Entree: 40 oz porterhouse for Two.... ended up having steak & eggs the following morning and still have a little left over. This steak melts in your mouth.
3) Sides: Potatoes Au Gratin & Creamed Spinach. Both filling and delicious
4) Dessert: Chocolate chip cookie skillet
So I flew up to Boston to see my son. I live in south Florida and dine at Abe and Louie’s in Boca. The food was awesome. The service definitely lacked the abe and Louie’s dining experience. Our server Heather didn’t even introduce herself. Her tone was non Chalant like she could care less that we were there. How do I know her name ? Because it’s in my receipt. I’m accustomed to a friendlier customer service where my experience in Boca has always been amazing. Service was prompt but a definite fail in the customer service aspect .
It was my boyfriend's birthday and Abe & Louie's is his favorite restaurant, so I made a reservation for us. The service was prompt, the atmosphere was good (a bit Christmas-y for someone who celebrates Hanukkah), and the food was delicious. My boyfriend's steak was too well done, which he mentioned in passing, and the waitress agreed and apologized--we assured her it wasn't a big deal. What we didn't expect was that the steak would be completely taken off the bill! We're both very appreciative that they take the quality of their food so seriously. Finally, my boyfriend received a free slice of cake for his birthday. Definitely a fantastic overall experience.
We have been dining at Abe & Louie's for years and this was the first ever disappointment we have had. My steak was fine but the Veal Chop my wife ordered was not at all what one should expect for $55. One dines at Abe & Louie's because they expect the best. This was not one of those experiences.
