   In a town with many conventions it can be difficult to place larger groups for dinner at a reasonable time with short notice. We found this out first hand during our visit to Orlando. Aki has the space your seeking and a staff that will stick with you until your ready to go home. Food equaled the serivice and we felt very special as guests. Easy parking and great location. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone who likes a good meal and a little show for dinner. Something on the menu for everyone. Relaxing evening away from the crowded usual format establishments you find around a convention town.

   Our server didn't appear to want to be there, no smile, no energy and VERY slow service...once we did get our food, food was good, our hibachi cook was funny and good! This restaurant is on the OpenTable program but has no idea how it works, server didn't know, and there apparently was no manager on duty on a Saturday night, the server supposedly called the owner and they did not accept my gift cheque.

   We went to the restaurant of the spur of the moment through Open Table based on the reviews. The place is a bar complete with neon sign in the front and advertising for a Happy Hour. There is a popular teppanyaki area that was crowded with guests who seemed to be enjoying themselves. We arrived at 8:00 p.m. and received our main course at 8:50. It seemed that the few staff that was around seemed more interested in cleaning the floor and moving tables rather than being attentive to our service. It was a Saturday night and business was slow. I guess I can understand the general feeling of indifference that was there at the time.

   The music, the service, the ambiance, and the space (decor) are all superb. Each section of the restaurant are just far enough apart to create a vibe all their own, so whether you are single, out on a date, or out with the kids you can't go wrong. The location is fantastic. It will quickly become a neighborhood gem for those who don't want to drive far for something posh.
