   We had a delicious meal with friends. Our service was great with Tom. 2 of us had steaks which we delicious and cooked perfectly. The other 2 had sea bass which was also delicious! It was a great night!!

   The wait staff was exceptional, but the food was the star of the evening. Very pleased with our experience.

   The expierence was great but almost everyone of the meals we got for entrees as a party of 8 was just way below what we would have expected for such a nice restaurant. All of the appetizers and drinks were great and the waiter was great but I think we were just disappointed about the quality of the entrees seeing how much money we spent on the dinner overall. I don’t think I would go back here again or refer anyone to this place after that experience.

   Lucas - Thank you for your feedback. You say everything was great but that you were dissapointed in the quality of your entrees with no specifics. It would be very helpful to know what entrees you had and what your dissappointment was with them. We strive to offer the best quality products we can find ( "Prime", "Upper Choice" beef, fresh seafood), however sometimes mother nature faills us in not being consistent or we fail in the preperation. We take great pride in what we offer and am always looking for feedback in order to maintain our standards I would appreciate if you would email me with more specifics about what your dissapointment was (preperation, or quality of prodcut such as tenderness or flavor). I hope to hear from you.

   Avoid the first table to the right of the entrance. The air conditioning vents hit you directly and we were very cold despite the proprietor attempting to adjust the room temperature. Otherwise the food was good.

   We went to 740 Front because we had a gift card and honestly would not return. We had a 5:30 reservation on a Thursday evening - restaurant was not busy at all. My wife got the steak kabobs and the meat was tough with gristle. I got a flatiron steak which was very good. Our server was not very attentive for the volume of patrons in the restaurant - we waited several minutes before being asked about a drink order. At the close of the meal our server gave us the dessert menu and we had picked out a dessert to share. When the server did not come back for 10+ minutes, we decided against dessert. It was a good meal, but nothing special and the service was below par for a restaurant trying to be upscale. We'll not return.

   Barry, I am very disappointed to hear about your dissatisfaction with 740 Front. I apologize about the service you recieved as this is not our standard. In the future, we would appreciate you letting us know when there is an issue with products so that we can rectify it to your satisfaction. Unfortunately, with mother nature, about 5% of beef is not up to standard, regardless of the cut. It is only identifiable after being cooked. Good example is your experience, the cuts that you and your wife had were the same cut of meat. The kabob is a flat iron steak that we cube and marinate. One was good and one was not. We do hope that you will give 740 Front an another opportunity to serve you and see that your experience was an exception and not the norm.

   Second time at the restaurant. 1st time was much better, hence the repeat reservation. Unfortunately this time around, meat was overcooked, salad was over dressed. Very little follow up by the server. Host was very unfriendly. Not worth going back.

    Food was very marginal. I ordered a $45 filet and it was so thin that there was no way you could call it a filet or cook it to medium rare. $45 was for a piece of meat only!!! Not even a small scoop of mashed potatoes?? We ordered the bread basket (for a cost) and the bread was very dry. There was a basketball game on and it was very loud. We had not been to 740 for a while, we used to enjoy it, but we won't return.

    We are very sorry to hear that we missed the boat with you, Edie. I just wanted to let you know that the small 6 oz filet that you had is a prime cut which costs us $56 a pound. This is a very fair deal at $45. Sorry to hear that your bread was dry and that the crowds were too nosiy for you. Its a very exciting time in sports right now with the NBA and NHL playoffs.
