Please join us at 740 Front in Historic Downtown Louisville. Designated historical, 740 is one of Colorado's two oldest remaining saloons; transformed back to its 1904 roots; a traditional American dining saloon with a turn of the century ambiance featuring a magnificent room dominating bar, built in 1880 by the Brunswick Company,. The copper spit trough, once equipped with running water, still exists at the front of the bar. Louisville, notorious for its drinking, gambling, and illegal activities, evidence of the occasional misunderstanding is the .22 caliber bullet hole in the front bar.
The bar offers a selection of craft beers, wines, handcrafted cocktails and an extensive craft bourbon selection.

Started our night, wife’s birthday, at the bar for happy hour. Drinks were perfect. Moved to table service for our dinner, nice area. Started with the un wedge salad, loved the dressing! The candied bacon was just right. I enjoyed the beef short ribs and my wife had the salmon. Both were delicious. Our server was attentive and pleasant. Thanks for making her birthday special. We will return.

Wonderful experience! The food was amazing. My filet was cooked perfectly! Honesty, i can gush about this place for hours! From the decor to the service and the quality of food .. i can’t wait to go back :)

We sat outside on a super hot day and the patio was great with shade and amazing service. Cocktails are always good

We really like 740 Front, but they changed their Happy Hour/patio situation without clearly communicating. We’ve been coming for years with friends and yesterday were seated on the patio, but not the “right side that included Happy Hour” no one was over there. Another table next to us commented they were “duped” thinking they could order from the HH menu on the patio. They need to clarify on their website, and when taking reservations what “patio” means, or just get rid of the Happy Hour.

We were looking for something out of the norm when browsing Google Maps for a restaurant near me. The touting "An American Dining Saloon" caught our attention - what more could we want? We went on a Thursday evening, and the only drawback was parking scarcity due to a group blocking off the lot next door and placing "no parking" signs on the street by 7:30, which limited parking options for folks. Upon entering, we found the space crowded but not overwhelmingly so; it definitely had a throwback saloon style atmosphere, complete with wallpaper and lighting that fit the vibe. As for ambiance, it was nice with a steady hum of people talking, but not too loud as my wife and I were able to hold a conversation without having to speak louder to each other. We really enjoyed our time together. Our waitress was excellent and attentive to our needs, and the food was superb. My wife ordered Devil eggs, which came in a set of four halves, along with a Filet steak. I opted for braised spare ribs. While my meal was good, her Filet was the highlight of the evening - when asked about the seasoning blend, our waitress informed us that it's a mop blend they drag their steaks through. We'll be back and next time, I'll be ordering a steak!
