We had an overall great experience— it felt extremely authentic, and when I walked into the restaurant, someone I assumed to be the owner or manager was speaking to a table in Italian… it transported me back to my days living in Italy! Grazie mille!

I have had better experiences here in the past. The food was ok but not great. If I am to be honest, I was put off at the start. We had an 8:45 reservation and we were on time. The restaurant closes at 10. At least that is what they state on their website. Our server made it blatanly clear that she wanted to go home and that she was not pleased about our late reservation. Within five minutes of seating us, she wanted our order. When we stated that we hadn't looked yet, she quickly let us know that the kitchen closes at 10??? Well that is great, it is currently 8:55, why are you telling us about a kitchen that is closing in over an hour. She clearly didn't want our business. Its not like this is a burger joint. Our bill for 3 people was $200. Do not make me feel unwanted. I suggest you either choose to close at 9 or talk to your staff about making customers feel welcome regardless of what time it is. This was my third time in and first for my friends. I don't think any of us will be going back. My suggestion is to do better. We have plenty of restaurants to choose from. If you don't want us, then you won't get us.

Seemed like there was only one waiter working last night took about 30 mins to get our wine. Our dinner was over 2 hours long.

We had an excellent time at Montesacro to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the ambiance very pleasant. We look forward to our next visit!

Overall very good. I must say I went for the Cacio de Pepe (my favorite) and was a bit disappointed….lots of Cacio but little to no Pepe….a huge missing element. Everything else was good but charging for plain bread was a bit odd. We had Parklette seating, it was a bit cold and windy and the heaters were not very effective. Service was good, but it was very slow as it was evident they were pretty understaffed. We may it it another try……it was close but overall a bit lacking.

We sat outside on a beautiful Sunday, so noise level was zero and ambience and service was perfect. The pasta here is the closest to what I had in Rome last year!!
