Everything at 50Ocean was fabulous, the food, the service, and the atmosphere!
Fun atmosphere, wonderful food!
Enjoyed a delicious and lovely brunch. Tyler, our waiter, was charming and attentive.
We have been going to 50 Ocean for years, and it has always been great, except for our recent visit. They may have been having an off-night in the kitchen when we went last week. My "cooked well done"dinner was served almost raw, so I sent it back, again asking it to be cooked well done. It came back cooked only a little, but it was mostly still very raw. I asked for it to be cooked a 3rd time, and I was brought a new piece of seafood, but that too, was mostly raw. I gave up and did not have dinner that night, but my wife enjoyed her poultry dish very much.
Regardless, we will come back. Ocean 50 is a very good restaurant, and I would still recommend it.
Just ok. Food was good but not what was expected. Service was really bad. Not worth the money
Poor service and very noisy - food pretty good
Service was terrible, food mediocre and expensive
From our awesome server! Awesome service! Incredible food! It was an awesome brunch! Will definitely recommended and will be coming back! 10 out of 10
Wait staff should learn you don't serve over another guest. It's also not appropriate to speak from behind a guest to another table. Absolutely unacceptable service. Loved the food and ambiance.
Last year for Valentine's day I swore that I would never go out on this day again but unfortunately I was talked into going to this place.
The room was so noisy that the server couldn't even get the order straight. After waiting a very long time we decided to just have whatever he sent to the table. Food was cold and tasteless.
My advice is to stay away from places like ocean 50 on holidays. Perhaps it's okay under normal days but they simply can't handle holidays!
We went for Valentine’s Day. The view was beautiful and the food was very good. It’s expensive but a worthwhile splurge
Food was excellent as well as the atmosphere.
Disappointed with the service. we got there prior to our reservation time and sat at the bar. After ordering 2 drinks our table was ready.
I took my drink and went to the table my husband who at the bathroom took his drink and joined my at the table. Before my husband went to the bar to closed the bar bill, the waitress came to our table and gave us our credit card, lecturing us that we were at the table and not at the bar.
We paid full price for two drinks that were legitimated ordered at the bar during Happy Hour.
We did not get a chance to close the bill. It was only two drinks.
I guess that put our waiter on a "bad mood". After lecturing us, he took his time to come back to take our order. There were plenty tables empty around us. Reason why we always do Valentine's days the day before, just to avoid madness.
Excellent food and establishment. Can not say too much about the service.
Met out of state friends for an annual dinner Grouper was a hit. But pricey.
Great spot for lunch. Outdoor seating has beautiful, breezy view of beach.
We've been going to Bostons and the old Upper Deck, now 50 Ocean, for 20+ years. The views are fabulous and everything has been great. The new menu, however, is a disappointment. The entree combinations are unappealing, especially the fish. The snapper was not pleasing; and, the scallops risotto had so much fresh
garlic that it was almost inedible. The crab cakes were good, as was the Caesar salad. Every menu should have at least one standard, comfort food for the times when the palate is not up for an adventure.
Scallops were delicious. Risotto was very salty. Nice wine selection. Key lime tart was good.
Food was excellent. Great service and they let us take our time.
Beautiful view. Delicious food. Wonderful waitress
The restaurant was great and the view is incredible!
We sat outside.
My wife and I went for my birthday brunch. The view of the ocean while we ate an outstanding meal was fantastic. I had the avocado toast, with lobster and my wife had the seafood cobb. My meal was delicious, lots of lobster. My wife's seafood cobb was excellent, but she felt the portion was a little small. In spite of her complaint, we will definitely go again! I highly recommend 50 Ocean.
Helpful and attentive service. Beautiful views. Loved the Bloody Mary Bar.
too noisy never go with people you want to talk with
Great food! Service was spotty. Scallops were outstanding
The service was very good. Trevor the manager was fantastic! The food was just a bit above average. Small portions for the prices. Great location!
Granted, this was Super Bowl Sunday...BUT - the restaurant more than half empty. Our server told us, when we asked if the chef would mind if we changed a side, that the chef was not there. I ordered the grouper and got a very dry, overcooked block of fish. The best part was the asparagus underneath it and the mushrooms I asked for, as a side. A shame, and perhapos a one-off. Our server was not especially attentive, but he did replace the dirty glasses that were on the table when I asked him to, without question.
The food was good but the portion size of my grouper entree was a joke. About 3-4 ounces of fish, an ounce of crab cake, 3 stripped asparagus. Not even a kids meal size. I hate eating dinner and being really hungry after I'm done.
Always recommend 50 Ocean. My husband and I live in Tequesta but the drive is well worth it. We've never had anything but good service and great food! We will be back soon.
Overall, it earns a 4 star. The snapper with some sort of black rice looking grain, was closer to 2 star. Good spot, and great staff.
DINNER WAS GREAT! SERVICE WAS AWESOME. HIS NAME WAS PAVEL. THE VIEW OF THE OCEAN FROM THE RESTAURANT IS BREATHTAKING... WILL BE BACK BEFORE WE LEAVE .
We went for our date night dinner & sat outside under the covered balcony with a view of the ocean. It was very nice & winter time in Florida is the perfect time to sit outside with a breeze & just the right amount of coolness. The food was excellent and our server Chantelle was wonderful! We could also hear the music playing from downstairs at the Sand bar resturant, which was cool as the DJ had a fun mix going.
Was very enjoyable
Great service, great food, with a great location. Highly recommend!
A beautiful setting overlooking the ocean. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is, at best, average. Ordered a steak medium rare and it was rare and not evenly cooked. Not seared at all. Fish was interesting, but was surprised that the snapper was served with the skin.
Also, while dining, they had a wrestling match on, so not very pleasant eating a $50 steak while men were beating each other, sweating and bleeding. Advice --- put a basketball game on.
Small tiny portions we wanted j alex but they were full
Lobster bisque was excellent, as was the grouper. My husband thought it was plain, but I
We go to 50 Ocean, each year when we sneak away to Delray. The menu does not change much, but it is always delicious. We each had the beet salad and Chicken dinner. Delicious. The scallops were served to a nearby table, and looked very good as well. We were seated at a window overlooking the ocean. It was dark, so could only see an occasional boat's lights far out, until someone set up a fire show on the beach. I am sure they were just having fun swinging the balls of fire, but we were enthralled. Our waiter spirited, attentive and fun. Only complaint is the noise level. The people at the adjacent table were having a wonderful time, but it was a large party, which made it hard for us to converse without having to lean across the table to put our heads close together. We will definitely return.
The food was great as always and the server was fantastic
I did have a small inconvenience with the hostess and the person that was assisting her. It took 30 min to get my table and it wasn’t so much the wait it was more the lock of communication and setting the right expectation on her behalf. I was never told that I had to wait for the rest of my party to arrive to be Seated.
Highly recommend this place. Perfect Florida brunch. Service, food, view all 10/10.

While having a drink in the Hemmingway bar, a woman changed her baby's diaper on the sofa. Not cool. But when I checked the ladies restroom I discovered that there is no changing table in there. The same for the men's room. Please buy a changing table to accommodate your customers with babies.
