We call it the “collective kitchen.” For the menus of 3800 Ocean are inspired not only by the local abundance of South Florida’s renowned crops that thrive under a hospitable climate, but by the regional flavors that stir the souls of our collaborative team of chefs. Each chef brings a new insight to the table: the comfort food favorites of New England; the fire and spice of Mexico; the Caribbean traditions of Jamaica; and the ageless classics of Long Island. Our own local abundance of fresh produce and seafood allows us to take the collective kitchen dining concept quite literally. Everything is made from scratch. Every taste evokes an emotional connection to a past culinary memory, or perhaps a future craving.
The ambience the food and the service was all very good. My biggest complaint was the fact that I was not told when I made my reservations that they were going to be having a price fixed menu for Valentines Day which was over $100 per person plus tax and gratuity included. This was an embarrassment for me as I had made reservations for 12 people who were expecting your regular prices. I spoke to our waitress about this problem she told me there were no options. Therefore I had to asked her to put $50 of each persons bill on my tab to keep from upsetting my friends.
Waiter spilled juice from appetizer all over shirt and shorts of one person in our party. The waiter brought me the wrong meal. By the time the correct meal was brought to me, the other diners in our party were nearly finished with their meals.
Valentines dinner. Fantastic food and great service!
We picked up our order coming back from airport. Great food and service
Dinner: Steak was delicious, wait staff was good. Drinks were expensive. Breakfast : was disorganized.
We were here to celebrate our friends birthday and had a fantastic time. The food was delicious and Jennifer who was out waitress did a fantastic job. We will be back.
Casual good food for lunch. Great view !!
Steak was over priced and cooked poorly and of very low quality.
We ate here two times in one week.
The food is wonderful. What a great variety of fish.
Simply wonderful!! We have a wonderful romantic dinner.
We had a wonderful dinner here. I had the Cortina and my wife had the tagliatelle. Both were delicious, hot, and served promptly. Our waiter, by the way, was superb
We have eaten here several times in the past, and I must say we have never been disappointed. We will be back!
9 people in our party and each dish was flawless. Service by Kelly was outstanding. Highly recommend!
Nice atmosphere and very good food. Wait staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Will go back in the future.
We visited 3800 Ocean while in Palm Beach Shores for vacation. The outdoor deck has a great atmosphere and the portable heaters kept us warm on a chilly January evening. The server was prompt and helpful, and while she forgot a couple of things overall the service was good. The good was excellent, although the menu is limited to 6-7 entrees. We would visit again.
There was construction taking place inside - too noisy. So we had tonsitnoutside and it was very sunny and all the umbrellas for the taaable were broken. There was a $2 up charge for green or fruit salad with lunch and we were not advised of this at time of placing our order. Waiter did remove cost at our request.
Food was good - not great
Sat outside. Glass partition on outdoor patio was dirty and had condensation. So no waterfront view. Just unclean window view.
My $36 entree was a non-fresh thin, overcooked and cold piece of fish. The artichokes were burned and inedible. I asked for no eggplant and was not offered a substitute. The couscous was also cold and equally tasteless.
Outdoor patio is adjacent to the pool and the kids diving in and yelling and screaming made for a ton of noise with no ambiance. There was music playing indoor the restaurant, but not outdoor.
It was fairly chilly outside, but the outdoor heaters were never turned on.
I've been to many fine dining restaurants all over the world. I give this place a C-, which may as well be an F, if not for the superb service from our server.
The food and service were great once we got our waitress. The table wasn’t set when we were seated. When they bought the silverware it was placed in a pile instead of set in place like you would expect from a restaurant like this. They brought us bread but we had to request bread plates and knives that should have already been on the table.
We made reservations for New Year's Eve, dressed for the nightlife, and looked forward to the festivities and the music inside the restaurant. Instead, we were seated in the outer area near the bar, very noisy, people walking passed us all during the dinner, and we were out of range of the music and the festivity. It felt like we were eating in a lounge area. Many people were in shorts while we were in glitter. It was not what we expected or hoped for!
Made last min reservations on NYE the host was very accommodating (2 adults 2 older kids & a NB). The menu was 3 course for the evening.. reasonably priced considering it was NYE. The food was great the kids definitely approved! Large wine menu selection & cocktails were just right! Definitely will be back
Hostess was chewing blue bubble gum and blowing bubbles — very unprofessional. Food was ok.
Great service. Food was great. Fish was amazing. Great with kids.
A real Trump feast. Great! Great ! Great again!
We visited as a last minute impulse and it was a great find. The atmosphere is modern but comfortable and service as good as it gets. The food was superb. I had the shrimp crusted grouper and it was terrific. My wife had two large appetizers as a dinner and loved them both. A very high quality experience at modest prices.
Will never go back.
The restaurant turned us away after we had an Opentable reservation & even a follow up confirmation. We even arrived 20-30 mins early.
Have been going here as well as the Singer Island hotel for a few years. They said they were closing the restaurant early to set up for a private party, but never had the professionalism to call us beforehand. The Open table reservation was made several days earlier. Had just picked up a friend at the airport and was looking forward sitting by the window overlooking the ocean.
Even the Manager was rude.
Open Table should drop them!!
Osso Bucco was wonderful
Overpriced for the quality of food.
We really enjoyed everything, the waitress was very nice and the food was very delicious. Even the people at the restaurant were friendly.
The online menu does not match what they offer in hotel. Only about half the items are now offered. We were the only people in the dining room and service was horrible. Our waitress seemed annoyed to be waiting on us. Food was fair. Not worth what you pay for, especially to be treated so rudely
The food was good, although pricey. We requested very cold martinis and they arrived lukewarm. The server was very nice, but the restaurant appeared understaffed. He had a very large party (who were a bit loud) and so the service was slow. We will try it again perhaps for lunch next time.
"3800" is a great dining experience for any occasion! Excellent staff! They will not overshadow you but will notice you when you need them! Very friendly and they will try to accommodate your requests as best as possible! My server was Debra and has a wonderful personality! I chose Heirloom tomatoes and burrata for my appetizer and it was good! Filet mignon cooked to perfection and tender! Chocolate creme brulee... Yum! 😋 Thanks for a delicious dinner! See you again soon! Happy Thanksgiving!
The best food, and the service was awesome. I made reservation, the restaurant was so quiet. The food is amazing
We travelled up from Boca Raton and had lunch here yesterday with a friend who was celebrating a big birthday and based our repeat visit here after having enjoyed delicious food and excellent service during a lunch under the Flavors of Palm Beach promotion. . Big mistake. To our surprise (and without updating their website) the management had recently changed the normal formal lunch menu to one that is really poolside grazing - think hand-held tacos and burgers. OK if you are in pool garb and sitting outside but it's no longer a destination restaurant and this is a great shame. Furthermore, even though the restaurant only had two occupied tables our orders arrived with sides missing and then cold when they arrived. Our birthday friend's meal was totally messed up and she had to watch us eat our entrees and then we watched her eat alone when her entree eventually arrived and was to her satisfaction. The server tried her best but management and the chef didn't seem too concerned. However, we did receive a reduction on the bill but the day was a birthday to remember for all the wrong reasons so we will not return.
Delicious meal. Friendly service fresh fish choices
This is Singer Island Marriott's all day restaurant that does dress up more gourmet for dinner. We enjoyed our dinner and all aspects from food to service and atmosphere. The bar is worth a stop in advance of dinner for well made cocktails including good Bourbon choices.
We have eaten at 3800 Ocean many times before. We have not been there in almost a year, because the food was good not great. We decided to try it again recently and found an amazing new chef and pastry chef at the restaurant. We were thrilled with every course. The service was impeccable. I chose the salmon, and asked for to be well done. It was absolutely perfectly well done. My husband had a pasta dish and said it was delicious. The drinks were marvelous as well, kudos to the bartender. The new pastry chef is a marvel. We had the most delicious chocolate crème brûlée with little additions that we have ever had or imagined. There was not a single note that was not perfect at this restaurant.
Food and experience was great as always but they changed the pool access from public if you eat at the restaurant to hotel guests only, which I felt isn't the best call and certainly defeats half the purpose of why I come here every month or so.
This place is amazing. One of the best views in Palm Beach. Right on the ocean. And the food is amazing. Creative seafood mainly. I'd recommend the seafood boil. Perfect spot for a date night and we'll be back again.
The service was a little spotty. They were probably a little understaffed, though frankly it wasn't that busy. Our waitress was very pleasant, but not too available. My wife ordered an orchiette pasta dish that was very heavy and salty. It was rather dark in the outside seating area. People around us were using cell phone flashlights to see the menu and their food. The hotel looked very nice, but honestly I wouldn't use the restaurant again.
This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food! Also, the seating and the ocean view are great. Service was top of the line.
Okay, I'm not one to complain, but we were the first party in the restaurant, I requested an ocean view and was awarded the best seat in the house.
HOWEVER, the next party that was seated had a toddler with them - the hostess sat them next to us (the only party in the restaurant at that time). Meanwhile there were more than 10 other ocean view tables that would not be next to my wife and I on our vacation date night.
Quality front of house staff is hard to find, I understand as a past restaraunteer, but this was inexcusable. The toddler stood on her chair and was either singing or screaming loudly for the entire duration of our meal and dessert.
Poor planning on hostesses part and spoke to the manager and I could just tell he couldn't have cared less on the professional criticism.
Oh, well - won't' be going back there next time we are staying with Marriott.
