312 Chicago is centrally located the Loop Theater and Financial District. Every room offers iconic city views including City Hall, the Thompson Center, the Board of Trade and the Cadillac Palace Theater. The ambiance evokes the comfort and sophistication of a 1930’s supper club, but the style is pure, modern elegance with rich walnut wood and dramatic chandeliers.

The food was very good, but the menu is rather small. My daughter cannot eat dairy which ruled out much of the menu items :( I had the Salmon, which was excellent. Many times restaurants overcook the salmon, but 312 was perfect!
The waiter and Management were very attentive.
Good food with an outstanding Bolognese sauce on the lasagna. The chicken panini with portobello mushroom was also scrumptious. The tortellini was also great. Interesting wines. I was extremely happy with our lunch!
the brussels sprouts and the calamari were very good!
One of our favorite places to eat when we see a show at the Cadillac or Oriental theaters. Great food and ambience!
The waiter was slow to warm up, and was not very helpful working with a dairy allergy at the table. The meal overall was quite good, and they kept the pace comfortable but got us out in time for theatre - at our request. We have been here before and will likely go back for shows at the Civic Opera House.
Restaurant was really nice and food was delicious. We arrived on time and waited for less than 2 minutes for our table. We were celebrating a birthday and the waitstaff were so nice to us and ensured that our guests had a great meal. We will be coming back.
Great place. Very lively. Can’t believe I’d never been. Will definitely go back.
Only complaint? Wash your windows!
Ask for Luis to serve you. He is simply the best! The other wait staff is also very good but Luis is very personable and a lot of fun.
Love the multi course options. Everything tasted exceptionally good.
I would only add a bit more variety to the menu, namely without meat or without veal or lamb or shellfish. Otherwise, everything we did select (fish and brussel sprout appetizer) was excellent and the service superb.
Great place and decor, ambiance. Casual to formal crowd, mix of both. Great food and service.
Great before the theater with good food, service and location. Crowded, loud and rushed but it gets the job done well.
My go to restaurant for the chicago theater district. Small but good menu. Dependable meals. Something for everyone . Ample portions to share appetizers, salads and some entrees. Appropriately Paced and cordial service for those of us on a theater schedule. Fair pricing.
We had an excellent time and the food was delicious. Waiter was very friendly and informative about the meals. Will plan on returning in the future.
Food was excellent and service was fast but not rushed. Noise level was much better than surrounding Loop lunch spots. Will definitely go back.
Our party of six people enjoyed brunch prior to attending a chicago play down the street.
We were seated immediately.
Luis is an amazing server, he is warm, friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive.
Several of us ordered the short rib hash and it was absolutely delicious! We were all very impressed with the quality
and the portion size. The fruit bowl I ordered was fresh, and also very generous.
Our coffee was constantly being refilled.
The manager Jordan, came up and introduced himself to me when he overheard me telling my fiends, also dining at the restaurant about our fabulous meal.
I look forward to returning soon and often!
On another note, when I made my reservation on line at open table, it indicated that I would be receiving 1000 points for that reservation. I was very surprised to see ghat I only received 100. Can you check this out for me please?
Good food before going to the Chicago Symphony.
Really loved the round tables and the general lay out of the dining room. Very pleasant!
Food was good, however seating on second floor, environment was noisy, and for a pre-theater environment, not very well dressed. Clothes literally were strewn on the floor, men wearing jeans, just not the ambiance I would have associated with the somewhat pricey restaurant.
Nice meal and atmosphere. Service reasonable, given restaurant was busy. Would go again.
Booths are too tight
Wonderful restaurant, staff goes overboard to make sure it is a memorable experience. We will go back!
First time going. We had an appetizer and each had a main course. The food was delicious and the view was great. We were checked on multiple times throughout. Recommend to go to before a play.
Really enjoyed the food! The prix fixe dinner was outstanding, with excellent wine pairings. The flourless chocolate cake desert was (and I don’t say this lightly) heavenly!
Very disappointed with both food and service. We ordered the special Rissotto dish which came out lukewarm. Took forever to get the dessert. Seems that the restaurant caters to the theater crowd and is ill equipped to handle the diners given the time constraints
We loved it! Wonderful food & fantastic food. I found my new favorite Italian wine - Zibbobo - here! Arugula + warm porcini mushrooms + goat cheese salad is excellent! Lasagna is perfection. We’d definitely go there again!
The restaurant was small and quaint easy to get to. That was a great host standing at the door that took our coats. The food was made from scratch. Most of the meals were very light inelegant. The service was fast because we was down to see a play. I will recommend this to all my friends.
Christmas celebrating with friends.
Marco was very attentive & accommodating!
Delicious meals, my friend and I had lunch here pre show and the service was really good and quick. The food was well cooked, I ordered Salmon and the temperature was perfect! Will definitely dine here again. Our server was very nice. Next door to the Cadillac Palace theater and walking distance to the others.
This is one of our favorite true-and-true pre-theater restaurant venues, close to the Cadillac Palace (where last night's dinner was enjoyed) and almost close enough to avoid [most if not all] raindrops. Though we didn't get our regular table, we were rewarded with an booth at the window for a great street view. Ii chose the prix fixe menu and was rewarded with a wonderful appetizer of truffle polenta with a short rib and a bone-in pork chop while my wife chose the skin-on branzino. I also opted for the wine pairing with my meal, an excellent choice. A leisurely dessert set the timing for our move to the theater perfectly.
Always a great experience....we were a party of 7 on Saturday and some of our friends had not experienced the joys of dining at 312....they were very impressed.....Marco took great care of us...food, service and ambiance were wonderful as always....and best of all, I've been in enough that I'm greeted like family...Thanks again for another splendid evening.
Very convenient for pre or post-theatre dining. Lively atmosphere, service was good. Food was average.
The food was excellent, but the service was lacking. Long wait; some of the food came cold and had to be returned.
Went there for brunch before a play, great ambiance, great and fast service.
Wonderful restaurant- dinner was excellent and the server and staff were very attentive.
The food came out extremely fast which while that was a plus because we were attending a show straight afterwards makes me feel like it wasn't cooked fresh when ordered. The food tasted very good. Our server was excellent however there were a couple of small things such as replacing cutlery and not placing it appropriately on the table and no finesse when putting the plates of food on the table.
Second try. Was not thrilled the first time, but received an e-mail asking me to try again, so I did. Although the food was much better the second time, it is still WAY overpriced - $110 (including the 20% tip) for LUNCH for two? Yes, my daughter had soup and I had salad, in addition to our main course - but neither of us had any alcohol nor dessert. My salad - $10 - was some spring greens, pieces cucumber and cherry tomato - which would an included side salad anywhere else. Sorry, but the fact that you are located where you are does not overcome the fact that your prices are WAY out of line. We will definitely NOT be eating here again.
Had lunch with 4 friends before play at Cadillac Palace which is next door. We each had different entrees and all were very good.
