Le restaurant 221 occupe une maison historique rénovée avec goût, nichée entre les arbres sur South Oak Street, à quelques pas de la télécabine. Pendant des années, le 221 South Oak a été réputé pour son atmosphère intime, sa délicieuse nourriture, son incroyable carte des vins, son service amical et une qualité hors pair. La chef/propriétaire Eliza vous servira une cuisine classée comme bistrot moderne, avec un mixte éclectique de saveurs et de styles : Un mélange de fruits de mer, gibier et viande bovine, avec des accompagnements qui vont de l'extrême sud au Calypso, aux classiques français et à la cuisine californienne et créole. Ever wondered how much a dash, drizzle or pinch may be and how much is too much? Explore these questions and other culinary quandaries with Chef Eliza on Thursdays, from 11:00 to 2:30. Chef Eliza will demonstrate 12 dishes and Sommelier Paul will pour 10 wines, harmonizing or juxtaposing the cuisine. Recipes feature summer flavors and lesser known ingredients. Learn from Sophie the art of wine pairing and dive into the regions and varietals of wine. Take with you all of the recipes, a full tummy and a bevy of new friends. Feel free to request a date for a class that fits your schedule. Most of our classes are held on Fridays but we are open to private classes any day of the week.

Loved sitting at bar with the sun streaming in the windows. Both my wife and I had the trout and it was wonderful. We enjoyed this same entree a year prior on our last visit. Been dining here for 15 years.

This is always one of my favorites in Telluride. I’ve been coming to Telluride for 30 years and each time, I make 221 Oak St a must for dinner. Creative menu, wonderful wait staff and great atmosphere. A+

Excellent as always!! It’s my favorite restaurant in Telluride. I’m vegan and they have so many great options. They have a vegan cheese plate that is incredible!

This was our second visit to the restaurant with friends. We had looked forward to it for a year and were not disappointed. The space is airy and lovely while still being cozy and all of the food was spectacular. The service was attentive but not overly so. The one time that something was not right it was immediately remedied. The wine was also delicious. We will be back.

Another spectacular experience at 221. The food and the service are just the best in Telluride. Sophie was so welcoming and then went on to offer us perfect wine pairings with our meal. We can't wait to return next time we are in town. Don't miss this spot.

Sophia and Dillon were spectacular hostess and waiter. The food was fresh and clean plating. The bison and the trout were our favorite.

Eliza always makes an evening special with amazing food selection - including one of the best vegetarian menus anywhere. It is a bit noisy, and the wine list is pricey. However, still the best dining experience available.
