One of the best restaurants in the hamptons. Superb food. We ate in the beautiful outdoor terrace. Had great attentive service.
This restaurant was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious, local and fresh and creatively prepared. The staff could not have been nicer or more welcoming and the management backed them up in every way. If we lived closer we'd be there all the time.
Very quaint and lovely restaurant. Would eat there again. Food was wonderful
1770 House is one of our favorite restaurants out East. We have celebrated my husband's birthday there the past 2 yrs and it's always wonderful - from the food to the wine to the service, it's always just perfect.
We’ve been dining here for years & the terrible news of Bonnie & Ben Krupinski’s loss is truly sad & terrible.
1770 House never fails to execute delicious food. Fluke & tuna tartare always favorites. Service is always excellent. Chef Michael Rozzi never disappoints.
Service was wonderful . Food perfect. We plan on returning
Everything about it was perfect. One of our best restaurant experiences ever. Can’t wait to go back
Certainly one of the top spots now in the Hamptons. Relatively small operation with limited menu, but the kitchen does what it does as good as anyone. Food overshadowed everything, no one has prepared a well respected NY Strip any better...pea soup and salads were perfect.
It would be my vote for our family cafeteria if my trust fund was bigger. We’ll be back soon. Please keep doing what your doing.
More variety on the menu would be appreciated
Outstanding food and Service. Among the best in the Hamptons.
Always excellent and pea soup delicious!!
We went for dinner to celebrate our Anniversary. The food was fabulous, the service was excellent and the ambiance lovely. We could not have had a nicer evening. We enjoyed our dinner so much, we are returning again this week. Creative menu with a top chef! The lovely, historic house is in perfect condition. The staff are all friendly and helpful. It is a great place for couples to enjoy fine dining with a large wine list and excellent food served beautifully. We know now why The 1770 House is ranked #1 in East Hampton to eat.
Beautifully executed at every turn, we’ll be back!
Excellent food and superb services that are trade mark for this establishment draw us to coming back again and again. From apertizer to dessert, each dish is perfectly prepared and presented with perfection. In addition, 1770 House still has $35 three course Pre-fixe menu that is hard to beat, although limited. It would have been nice if most of entres in the regular menu are included in the pre-fixe menu with surcharge. Whether that will happen or not, we will be going back again and again for great food.
Fantastic as usual!
Lovely historic house with attention to details making it a special setting.
Excellent service with pleasant attentive wait staff. We were with friends from Italy who were very impressed with all of the above and appreciated the authentic American historical setting.
Celebrated a birthday and food was amazing. Service too
We came to 1770 House for my fiancé's birthday. Our waiter gave us excellent recommendations and the service was very quick and personal. Loved the dessert wine. We will be back!
It’s is our go-to restaurant in the Hamptons. Service and food always impeccable. Best foie gras and tartare bar none. Looking forward to our next visit.
My husband, my son, and I, went to the 1770 House for my birthday. First time I have been there, but definitely won't be the last! Everything about our experience was superb, from the ambiance, the service, and the food was excellent! The room is very well appointed, and quiet; you can actually have a conversation. And the tables nicely spaced for private or intimate chatting. The prix fixe menu was very good, and I hope they keep that offering. In my opinion, this is the way fine dining should be. If you crave a noisy room, this is NOT for you.
Always a delight to dine here. Exquisite ambiance and excellent service with delicious food.
Over the years, dinner at 1770 has become a bit of a special occasion tradition. I asked my GF (now wife) to move in with me there... My last dinner there was the celebration of our 1yr anniversary. The restaurant is exactly what we needed for a low key intimate outing.
We often enjoy drinks (before and after) dinner by the fire place.
The food is great and we will continue to come back for years to come.
Amazing! Delicious! Fabulous service!
My favorite restaurant in the Hamptons!
Excellent creative food and dessert.
Quiet room with a fireplace and room
between the tables.
Unobtrusive professional service.
Consistently a pleasure to have dinner there!
Wonderful dining in the heart of East Hampton Village. Our most recent visit was during Restaurant Week. Everything was delicious, but the Restaurant Week menu was rather limited and the choices lacked flair or creativity. All very good, all the same.
Excellent food from apertizer to dessert. Food is consistently good, and this restaurant never disappointed us. The only complaint is that it has limited menu, but whatever is on the menu they are very nicely prepared and presented. People who have not been there should try during off season before turning to a mob scene during Summer months.
By far the best restaurant in East Hampton. "Hot" Restaurants come and go but the 1770 House remains the best. This happened to be restaurant week which made for a tremendous value but even at regular prices the restaurant is worth it. Interesting menu using local seasonal ingredients, a terrific wine list, and consistent professional service.
This lovely restaurant has tremendous historic charm but it is beautifully cared for and has modern comforts. The food was Innovative and outstanding and the service was spectacular
Excellent selection of menu options for East End Price Fixe menu. Knowledgeable and skilled staff. I have enjoyed dining here knowing that the chef is knowledgeable as well as accommodating about gluten free options for those of us plagued with Celiacs Disease. Most restaurants shrug it off as a fad &/or have limited menu options. I felt confident with this chef.
Classic fare expertly prepared. Truly the best caesar salad dressing ever; such a staple on menus everywhere but this one stands out. Portions on the small side but our occasion was Restaurant Week, so somewhat understandable. Pork Ragu - so simple and again, cooked to perfection - super satisfying. Will be back. A can't miss on a prix fixe
It was our first time to the 1770 House and it exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing. Renee was our server who was knowledgeable , friendly & wonderful. All the staff was on target! We will definitely go back and we look forward to it!
Four friends had a fabulous time for Easter. The food was sensational.
Fantastic food and service!
Had an unbelievable dinner experience with my wife here. Everything was excellent and we can’t wait to go back!
Fantastic evening from start to finish! The food was outstanding and the service top notch from the second we walked in the door. We’ll be back soon.
Excellent as always. Our server, Carl, made our entire dining experience. This is our favorite restaurant in East Hampton and one of our very favorites in the NYC area.
The manager, Carol, was also very welcoming and friendly and we greatly appreciate that.
In terms of food, the beet salad was amazing. I ordered the Filet Mignon because it was the closest to the lamb loin I had had there three weeks ago and it was fine and cooked a perfect medium rare, but not as exciting or as unusual as the lamb—an exceptional dish. My wife enjoyed the chicken as usual and her tangerine crepe brûlée was fantastic. And my cheese with figs and honey were terrific. The half bottle of Gevrey Chambertin for $58 was fantastic and a bargain.
I didn’t mention the ambiance. Elegant, understated, and comfortable as always.
Beautiful restaurant with amazingly gracious and accommodating service. Problem was that we didn't love the food. Our fluke and caesar salad entrees were quite good, but we were disappointed by our entrees. Wife's ragu was bland, and my curry cod was a bit too spicy. Perhaps just a matter of our taste, as neighboring tables seemed to love their food. Wish there had been more choices on menu (quite limited with no specials). Nonetheless, open to giving 1770 another try when we return to the area this summer.
1770 is always a great meal. top notch ingredients cooked extremely well. good wine list with a few holes at a few price points. if you want to spend big money on wine great otherwise you have to dig around. love the toffee date pudding, oysters and foie always top notch. butter with the parkerhouse rolls should be a thing doesn't go with olive oil. this team is a well oiled machine.
First time. We loved it. They could not of been nicer to us. I even asked for a table change, and They only wanted to please us, which they did.
The chef put together a great menu with excel beet salad and Scottish salmon dish. Cant wait to go back
The best restaurant in the Hamptons. Bar none. On every level
