Good food and service. The atmosphere was loud, but able to have a table conversations. There was a concert being held next door so alot of guest staying on property having drinks and dinner before concert.
Food was cold and not good. I had made reservations, and we were suppose to get a cake for a birthday we were celebrating. Food was cold and not good at all, even if it would have been hot! Didn’t see our waiter but twice, and never got the birthday cake. Definitely won’t be back! And was pricey!
Food took over 45 minutes to arrive and it was cold.
Good Service and quality food
Valentine Dinner was delicious! They brought us champagne and chocolate strawberries when we arrived. My wife thought I set it up. The Braised Short Rib was great and my wife really enjoyed her steak. The dessert was so beautiful we didn’t want to eat it. Everyone was so friendly and happy to be there. We stayed at the hotel overnight and went back for breakfast in the morning it was another great experience. We had a great Valentine Day weekend we will be coming back again.
Bringing an important client to lunch at this restaurant I was very disappointed in the lack of attentiveness, the time it took to get our food and the fact our meal was barely warm. Our server did say the kitchen was shorthanded but it was obvious there were more problems than that. Lesson learned about eating at this restaurant.
I would recommend this place, but NOT for a group... The communication between staff members is very slow/nonexistent, and our food took a very long time to arrive... so it was room temp or cold. Trying to split the bill was extremely difficult, and AWKWARD. The entire bill was given to one of my guests without any conversation prior to determine how we would like to pay. Brunch took 2 hrs and we didn't even order alcohol, appetizers, or anything complicated... some guests had to just up and leave because we didn't know when someone would come back to help us! You're better off going here with just another person or a 4 top. 6 people get a pretty conference looking room, but you definitely won't feel like they want you there.
New Year’s Eve- the services were amazing but the service was slow. I gathered they were short handed. Cocktails took over 30 minutes and appetizers were 45. The restaurant was not busy at the time we dined. I’ve dined there before and this was a unique situation. The staff, however, always makes up for it.
Very nice management who were very understanding when we made reservation for an event that happened years ago. It was an oversight on our part but the manager made our Christmas Day Lunch a very good meal and added to our experience. Kudos to a well managed restaurant and bar.
It was great for a special occasion. There was a special section of gluten free bread, which was appreciated. Service was good and the decor was beautiful. However, when we parked the valet told us we’d get reimbursed for parking. The restaurant wouldn’t honor it, and it was $20 for an hour. That feels ridiculous.
It was a Merry Christmas event! Staff was tired but they treated the guests as royalty. We truly enjoyed the Christmas Buffet and the ambience of the restaurant. The made to order omelette station was perfect and quick. The Caramel Bread pudding was like no other. Mini waffles were hard but edible. Service staff was great. The price was just right. Wouldn’t mind doing it again!
Excellent food and impeccable service! And I was told by staff that they will validate your self parking (valet doesn’t qualify) if you dine in the restaurant and ask to have it validated. This of course could change so call and ask before you go but that was the case when I was there.
We went for breakfast with Santa and it was a fantastic experience. We usually go to the downtown aquarium for their breakfast with Santa but it was fully booked when I tried to make a reservation so we went here instead. I’m glad we did! The food was good, every staff person I came into contact with was professional, polite and extremely service oriented and the decorations on the entire first floor was beautiful and elaborate.
I liked how Santa was walking around visiting tables and I also liked how the atmosphere was much less chaotic than the Santa event at the aquarium. I also liked how they offered cookie decorating and apple cider at no extra charge.
We’ll do doing breakfast with Santa again at this Hilton for sure!
This was our second time dining at this restaurant. Initially I thought I was booking a new place to try, but when we got there I remembered we had dined there before going to a concert at the Toyota Center. They have both buffet and menu dining choices. We wanted to try the menu options this time, but after waiting quite a long time for our server to take our order, my wife and daughter finally gave up and went for the buffet. I mentioned to the waiter I still wanted to order from the menu, after he noticed that two of us were eating the buffet options. But it was quite a while before he returned to take my order. I tried the Braised Short Rib Mac & Cheese. The beef was tender and well seasoned and the mac and cheese was well prepared and tasted good. I never got the second drink I ordered. I suppose since the big cheerleading event was next door at the Toyota Center (State Finals perhaps?) the server thought we were just there for the event and therefore didn't need to receive quality service since we would never return. Our first experience at this restaurant almost a year prior, both the service and food were recommendable. This time only the food is recommendable, the service was terrible.
Firstly, they don't valet park for restaurant patrons, which we didn't know. We had to scramble to find a parking lot close by and then run for it so we didn't lose our reservation. It took probably 20 minutes or so before we received our drink orders. Then, they took 45 minutes to bring one person their food, who then had to wolf it down in order to make our concert time. They did comp that person their food, but it still left a bad taste in the mouth. It was a charcuterie board. How long could it take to make that?? The food was okay, nothing to write home about, but satisfactory. I think the ideal solution is to do the buffet. They didn't seem to be that busy, but it definitely wasn't running smoothly. We'll try another restaurant next time.
pretty good spot for a quick dinner, especially solo. good people watching scene, nice ambiance, decent food, and reasonable prices.
Great thanksgiving meal and experience!
Thanksgiving brunch was great! Food was wonderful & the staff were so friendly & made the experience great. This was our 3rd year going & we will definitely be back.
Great food, reasonable price, excellent service! We woukd definitely recommend 1600 B&G.
We have been dining at this restaurant for Thanksgiving for the past five years and have not been disappointed. The food and staff are great. Thank you.
My colleague and I went to breakfast here every morning the past several days while in town for a work conference. Our server Mohammad was amazing!!! He was so polite, friendly, attentive and accommodating without being over bearing. The food was amazing, the omelet station at the breakfast bar was a plus and the service was timely. I can’t say enough about this place. A must try!
Good quality - the right mix of fare, atmosphere & expediency for a business hotel.
Awesome food and service. Atmosphere was great. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable
We stopped in one our way to WSeries game #2. Ty was our server/bartender and was excellent!!
Good meal. Nothing special that makes me anxious to return. Ate here tonight because we were going to a concert at Toyota Center
I had a reservation which was confirmed and the restaurant didn’t even open that night due to low hotel occupancy so I wAsted time...gas....then had to pay for parking. They never called.
A very nice, laid back restaurant with a really good steak and very reasonable by the glass wine selection. I would definitely recommend and go back
I think the restaurant was over loaded by the concert crowd..
The food was good but the service was some of the best I have ever received. I would dine there again in a heart beat.
salmon came out cold, no time to recook before going to concert.
Mother’s Day brunch was outstanding. Great service. Staff made it very special and lots of wonderful food choices.
Overall good experience. The restaurant is in the Lobby of the hotel...so lots of activity and varied style of dress.
While the ambiance and service were good, the pricing is really high and the food was just okay. There are much better restaurants close by with awesome food, huge servings, and better selections to meet most dining needs. If this is the only place available due to convention or large event, then you should be okay.
We attempted to dine at 1600 Bar + Grille before an event at Toyota Center. Our reservation was 1.5 prior to the event and we arrived on time. We were seated promptly. Our waitress initially arrived quickly with waters and to take our beverage order. However, after we placed our food order she disappeared. We waited 45 minutes for our food order, never had a refill on our water, and were ignored by several other waitstaff. Unfortunately we had to leave without eating. After informing management we were told that we shouldn't have ordered off the menu, but should have had the buffet instead. We were never told about a buffet, but for the $$ price and reviews of this restaurant, we would not have wanted to spend $30 on a buffet anyhow. Hope you have better luck if you try this place out.
The best service came from the manager. He was great!
We arrived an hour and a half before our show thinking it was plenty of time. Think again! We ended up leaving at 7:40 without having eaten a thing. Our waiter came to us 40 minutes after we ordered to say the kitchen was backed up. We let him know our time constraint and he disappeared and we never saw him again. All around us people came and were served. We didn’t even get a breadstick. Never going back.
My daughter and I ate here prior to attending a concert at Toyota Center. They had a buffet which was quick, easy and varied. Food was good, service was decent, can't complain. Best thing, this restaurant was within walking distance of Toyota Center! Would definitely consider dining here again next time. Restaurant is in the hotel lobby so there is a lot of commotion going on ... we had reservations so were seated right away, folks walking in without reservations were told they would have a 30 minute wait.
The buffet was nice . The poor waitress kept checking in my drink and apologizing. The bar was very slow
So very disappointing with our experience last night!
It was apparent the restaurant was not prepared with the large crowd that came for dinner before a concert at the Toyota center. Our party of 6 was there for over an hour and a half. Appetizers were the only food we saw.
I felt bad for the service staff who were trying to do their best but the kitchen was not keeping up.
We had an exceptional meal and service before our event at the Toyota Center.
