Great food. Nice. Servers were super!
Top notch as always.
Nice find away from the touristy area of Waikiki, 10-15 minutes away from downtown. The food was delicious. Cod wrapped prosciutto over risotto was outstanding. Clam chowder soup was delicious. My husband’s whisky sour was one of the best we’ve tasted. Service was very good. Would highly recommend.
Service was great and food was awesome. That’s why this place is so busy! First time here and we all enjoyed. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The smoked ahi spread was the best I’ve had ever. That’s a must have every time!
We were seated outside, so the ambiance wasn’t as nice as inside, but we had a really nice time, food was really good, and we enjoyed excellent service.
Everything was awesome!
The food was delicious and our server was attentive and friendly ! Will definitely go back! 🌺
Smoked ahi spread was unique and delicious. The presentation and taste of our entrees, gnocchi and daily fish special, were exceptional. The portions were very generous. Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Honolulu.
I had the pork chop. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Great service and food quality.
The food was imaginative and DELICIOUS! Ordered only appetizers and dessert. Grilled taco, perfection, gravlax, superb, lobster macncheese, not enough!! Maui beef carpaccio, fantastic. The banana cream pie was not overly sweet and had some crunch with macadamia nuts. The panna cotta was creamy and loaded with lychee. Can’t wait to go back for more!!
Hostess was exceptional and funny. Food was outstanding. Service was on point. I will come back again!
Great overall experience
It's been a long while since I've been to 12th Avenue Grill. It seemed the perfect first date place since I could get a late reservation. I forgot about the excellent whiskey selection and the porkchops. The below average date was made better with the great atmosphere, food, and service.
The food was excellent, the service good, the drinks delicious. The only thing that would have made it perfect was having steak knives (or sharper knives) to cut the pork chop and steak.
Great atmosphere. Prompt and steady service.
This was a great restaurant, and we were able to book it within a week. The waiter was extremely professional but not chatty. He was attentive enough without being bothersome. We brought our own wines, and he didn't refill our glasses, which I don't mind. I would prefer filling my own anyway. I had the steak which was good, but I didn't notice that it came with fries (not my preference for a steak meal.) 2 people in my party had the black cod on risotto, and it was outstanding. The brussel sprout Caesar salad was good, but not sure if it would appeal to everyone. One person had the meatballs with gnocchi, and that was very good as well. Overall a very enjoyable meal and a great time!
Everything we order was delicious!!
Wonderful cocktails! Talk to the bartenders and tell them your tastes. They can recommend some fabulous cocktails. Food consistently delish. A favorite for us locals.
12th Avenue Grill is my favorite restaurant! Excellent food and service, nice casual atmosphere, and great craft cocktails!
The menu is somewhat limited and a bit of a mish mash.
Duck special was special. However local fish special was dry and tasteless.
Other things I have tried on other visits are ok.
The food had no finesse. The cantaloupe soup was bland. So was the beet carpaccio. Not what I expect from 12th Avenue Grill. Very disappointed.
A FIVE STAR WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE TO DINE CASUALLY!!!! My family and I are from San Antonio TX and we had a spectacular time at 12th avenue grill! The hostess/owner is especially friendly and very accommodating. A very warm and friendly, family oriented environment. The staff was extremely friendly and inviting to our needs. When I saw the cost for a meatloaf sandwich on the menu, I was a bit taken back, but when I took my first bite to the last, it was absolutely astounding!!! The flavor, texture and seasoning was simply exceptional. My two Daughters each had the pork chop and it too was OMG GOOD!!!! This is one of those places that once the TV series Diners, Drive-ins and dives gets a hold of, you will find it much harder to reserve a time to dine there. My advice, take advantage now and you will not be disappointed!!!!! Thank you 12Ave for a wonderful evening!!!!
Aloha, always great happy hour at 12th Ave, will be back again and again. mahalo
The food was room temperature when it arrived. Not a lot of flavor. Things have changed at what used to be a top place.
Beautiful outdoor dining space with plants on trellises and string light canopy. The meatloaf melt and pork chops were perfection.
Daniel was a great server! By far the best we have had in the two weeks we've been in hawaii and we have had great service during our trip. He was an overall sweet and helpful person.
The food and service were amazing! We visited a little later in our vacation and didn’t have the time to go back. Which we both regretted, if you get the chance to go you’ll just want to go again!
We enjoyed our meal, received good service, and felt comfortable with their safety protocols. We wore our masks while ordering then took them off when our food and drinks arrived. Our waiter Tadd was friendly and attentive. We started off with a Hendricks martini and a Moscow Mule. Both were tasty. For appetizers were shared a watermelon and arugula salad, the house made burrata, and the fried tako tentacle. The salad was fresh and balanced, the burrata -- divine, and the tako was tender and went well with the salsa verde. My husband had the lamb burger for dinner and I had the Pappardelle Zozzonna with sausage, mushrooms, and a tomato cream sauce. We were so full that we didn't have room for dessert. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining, so you have the option (if you rsvp early enough, I would imagine) to choose what is comfortable for you. A neighborhood gem!
Service was odd. Long wait for initial service. Called one waiter over and he waited on us. Then another came by who was unaware of the other waiter. The black cod was wonderful, but was lukewarm when served. Sat in patio, where apparently dogs are allowed. Not sure why people need to bring dogs to restaurant, if not service dog. Next time I will eat inside.
Pork chop tasted good but was over cooked and dry. Shrimp on surf and turf was burnt and rubbery. Water melon salad and key lime bread pudding was excellent.
Good food. Good service. Nice people. Excellent fries. Basic comfort chow.
We really enjoyed this Resturant! Server extremely attentive and professional! Food is very fresh and delicious. Unique dishes and cocktails and seasonal dishes. Would definitely dine here again if and when we return to the area!
Very lovely food and not crowded. Felt very safe, every thing was clean and spaced out. Hostess was efficient, wait staff was slow but helpful. Food was best I’ve ever had there. New revived menu was very good
Fries are a must!
This was our 2nd visit to 12th Avenue Grill in about 2 months. The first time, the food was really good and we looked forward to ordering their fantastic charcuterie board again which included a delicious rillette. Unfortunately, they constantly evolve their menu so it was no longer on there, but the fried tako and Brussels sprouts with Caesar dressing did not disappoint as starters. For entrees, we had the pork chop and gnocchi with meatballs -- both delicious. Dessert was their bread pudding cheesecake - soooo yummy! The only negative thing about the evening was our waiter -- it was like we didn't exist and that he was unable to multi-task. The servers/bus boys, however, provided us good service. This poor service was so unlike 2 months ago when our waitress was awesome! However, we do understand that because of the pandemic, it's very challenging to find employees and good ones at that. I would not let this deter us from going there again as the food is worth it.
I requested if I ordered dessert, put on the candle because that day was my friend's birthday. However they didn't.
Our server was very attentive to ensure our dinner went well. Very friendly, knowledgeable about main menu & dessert. He suggested the pork chop which was awesome. I think his name is Kainoa who has been there for only a few months.
Keep him, he's a valued employee.
We dined indoors which is very nice compared to the parking lot which needs a lot of work and ambiance.
Due to Covid-19, I appreciate the 90 minute reservation but I could not help feeling rushed with the hostess who kept appearing (not speaking) at our table. Kinda annoying, need to learn to be more covert. Oh then there was that very uncomfortable tiff between the hostess and the manager at the check in. Haha
The last time we visited was for a birthday in November 2019. We vowed never to return. However, tonight’s visit for you limited reservations at other venues, we were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant is what we always remember it to be, very good.
Loved this restaurant, great local spot with authentic food. Great flavors and great service. Had a wonderful dinner!
Love this place been a year and half since I have eaten here all still amazing
