Diner Reviews
  • "Food, Atmosphere, and Service are world class. From the moment we entered, we felt well taken care of by the hostess Ilona, the wait staff Wesley and Jason the manager/sommolier. My husband and i enjoyed the babaganoush, kale salad, beet salad, trout almadine and the scottish salmon. For drinks, the wine selection looked spectacular but early morning plans kept us from sharing a bottle on this outing, we chose a couple of very interesting beers from belgium upon Jason's excellent recommendation according to our tastes, the oval and the duchesse. The duchess was the most unusual and worth the adventure. Don't miss this restaurant if you are in the DTC (Denver Tech) area."

  • "My wife and I shared their Sunday Brunch Buffet with two new friends we met. Truly an incredible buffet, one of the best I have had. From a great assortment of seafood, fruits, and salads, to made-to-order omelettes, carved roast beef, and pastas, it had something for everyone. Great desserts to finish it off. And did I mention bottomless mimosas? It was an excellent deal for the price."

  • "My husband and I are Pescatarian because of the horrid way those poor factory farm animals are raised (i dare you to watch the film "Glass Houses," narrated by Paul McCartney -- I couldn't stand to watch it for more than a few seconds, and, sadly, it's the standard practice of factory farms). But this is one restaurant that at least has organic, free-range chicken and free-range pork on their menu, according to the general manager. Anyway, since the trout is so fantastic (we order it with their crispy potatoes, which are wonderful), that's all we've ordered every time we've been at the restaurant so far. But I hear the scallops are also great. The atmosphere and staff are terrific also. Our favorite local restaurant so far."

  • "My girl friend and I went to yayas for prom and it was amazing! Out waiter was super informative and it was very caring that he asked if we had food allergies or any other dietary restrictions. He was very kind and I would defiantly recommend yayas to a friend!"

  • "We have celebrated many events at YaYa's-all with good results. This was my least favorite food experience-the meal was lack-luster and uninspired. A few weeks ago, however, we had an amazing brunch. Just a bit disappointed."

  • "General Manager Jason is a fantastic wine source. Just share with him what you like in flavors, etc. Share a price you want to pay and he will come up with the wine. He has made several suggestions to my wife and myself, all have been excellent, affordable. Jason is great! This restaurant also has a healthy menu selection, with wonderful fish, fresh veggies."

  • "Made a reservation to meet a good friend from the East Coast for brunch. I was greeted, seated immediately even though I arrived a little early, and the service, mimosas and buffet were all excellent! Will definitely be back!"

  • "We have been here for brunch a few times lately. Last time was very good, but this time was poor. The variety was mediocre and the shrimp were soggy. Altogether a crummy brunch. We probably won't go back."

  • "I've eaten here several times for brunch, but our recent visit may have been the last. We were seated 30 minutes past our reservation time and our waiter took a solid 10 minutes to come to our table. It took an additional 5-10 minutes to get silverware, which we had to request. We hardly saw our server at all to order anything else that wasn't on the buffet, resulting in a very disappointing experience. Two people in our party had a flight to catch, so with all the delays in service they had to literally eat and run. No apology from our waiter and no manager on the floor to speak with. They may have just lost some loyal customers."

  • "I have to say, Ya Ya's was pleasantly a huge surprise. There is no comparison from what the appearance was provided from the internet to that of physically being there. Great choice of location, very established set-up and very friendly staff. My wife and her mother, my daughter and I were extremely impressed with the food menu as it appears that every four to six weeks, it changes. The food selection was outstanding. I ordered Pork Buoco that fell off the bone immediately after I slightly dug into it. The rest was simply out of the world. I ordered Moscato before I arrived because I wanted to surprise the wife for her birthday and when we arrived, they had the best bottle of Moscato ready, one imported from Italy. Simply, OUTSTANDING!"

  • "An eclectic menu of flavorful food. Presentation is simple, but the choices of ingredients are creative and tasty. Love the iPad wine list with lots of great regions to choose from. Servers are upbeat and very helpful. Management very involved in the operation and little is overlooked. Be sure to make a reservation!"

  • "Yia Yia's is always delicious and the environment is stimulating yet relaxing. Wide variety of patrons, love the booths and patio, I always bring out of town guests to dine there. Our filet was the best I've had in a long time, cooked perfectly, medium rare, and simply delicious. Our very friendly server recommended the pineapple martini, which was as she said, refreshing but not too sweet. As I waited for my friend to arrive, someone brought me complimentary sparkling water and the server brought me baba ganouch (spelling?) and bread, very thoughtful."

  • "This is a great place! I'm Here for lunch, again, and always enjoy! I'm big on salads for lunch. I just wish my salad was on a bigger plate. My salad was smaller than what I would have for lunch, spinach, and my friends had Greek. Again small and small plate. I would pay a couple more dollars just to have it my way, lol Otherwise, this place is GREAT !!"

  • "salad and entree came out at same time - sent the entree's back. Salad's were the wrong ones ordered. Entree's, when they returned were luke warm and just OK. Loud. Wine was very good. Although we ordered two glasses, they left us the whole bottle (correctly charged us only for the two glasses)."

  • "Had a wonderful Brunch and sat on the patio. It was the perfect day to relax, enjoy bottomless mimosas and enjoy really good food. I love the made to order menu that goes with the Brunch, I also like the size of this brunch, enough food and not overpriced."

  • "We meet with these friends once every couple of months and typically try a new restaurant in town. This time we decided to go to a Denver "staple". I had been here for happy hour and Sunday brunch a few times but it had been years since I had been there for dinner. Our waitress was very energetic and helpful! The restaurant manager visited our table to introduce himself and check on our service. He also answered some questions to help with our wine selections. Very nice! Our food was wonderful! We each had a different dish and were all VERY HAPPY! My only negative (if I must call it that) was our seating. We were seated at the corner table of the mezz...near the kitchen, salad bar, wait staff area so it was loud and busy..."

  • "I already told the mgr the day we were there. After we got our bread it felt like forever to get acknowledge again. I had to flag the mgr down to get another drink and to get out appetizer and dinner order in. Afterwards our server did not even apologize for the neglect. We were not checked up on after we received our appetizer. Then our food should have been out in 12 to 15 min at most but it took probably 25 min. Waiting longer with server neglecting us did not feel good. Manager was nice and took care of meal. This was the first time I took my wife there. I was there for a family dinner a year ago. I felt like this was my first impression. Service had a bad day. Saturday the 8th. Please forgive any typos or errors as I am on my cell."

  • "We enjoyed everything from the happy hour menu to the delicious entrees and dessert, from the attentive and friendly service to our table by the window where we could watch the snow gently falling. Too often we've gone someplace on Friday evening after a difficult week only to feel rushed, ignored, or to have mediocre food. There was even a variety of gluten-free choices for my husband. This place didn't disappoint!"

  • "The waiter was great, so was food, a little noisy---I cannot believe people bring small, noisy children here on an evening, take them to fast food or get a sitter--doesn't a restaurant ever care about the comfort of the other diners."

  • "What a treat! We had the hummus as a small plate which was enough for four adults. The gluten free soup was seasoned to perfection. The rainbow trout and Bistro steak were both excellent and we would highly recommend them both. The wine selection offers a great variety of excellent wines. We will be coming here often to enjoy the food, the outstanding service. And cozy atmosphere ."

  • "My friend and I went here for Denver's Restaurant week, I will most definitely be back! We had a Thursday evening reservation and it was pretty packed. We were seated in the bar area, which was very loud. There was a little bit of a cold draft but I'm assuming because almost the whole side is windows. Merri was our server & she was very helpful with my food allergy! Started off with the House Soup - without the orzo it was naturally gluten free. The spinach salad without blue cheese was okay, I'm not a salad person and I really enjoyed this one. My entree I got the bistro steak. OMG! Cooked perfectly and tasted fabulous! I had the selection of sorbets for dessert - very small =( Overall, we really enjoyed our meal here & excited to return!"

  • "I am new to the DTC are and a few friends recommended the place so when my mom came to town I made reservations. The hostess staff was very cherrful and accomodating as I had to call back and adjust my reservation time. We grabbed a drink at the bar waiting for our table and was given an Ipad with an internactive bar menu (way cool!) Our waiter was knowledgable at suggesting pairings for our entree selections! I had the Beff Stroganoff which was very unique and favoraful while my mom had their trout (very large portion and very delicious!) We finsihed our night off with the Carmel Bundino and I was just okay. All in all we loved the restaurant and will abolsutely be back to enjoy the patio when the weather warms up."

  • "I've only been to Ya Ya's two other times and that was for Sunday brunch. I booked dinner her for restaurant week based on my brunch experiences, which were fantastic. The food was absolutely fantastic. Every course was delicious. The service, however, was spotty. We never really knew who our "server" was. Several different people came to our table for various reasons. It was a bit confusing. My soup was delivered to our table without a spoon. It took a few minutes to flag someone down to bring me one. Our entrees were brought to our table before we were even halfway through our salads. The entire service seemed very disjointed. The food was incredible. I will probably go back to give it another try, but it isn't at the top of my list."
