  • "Very attentive, knowledgeable service, both from the wait staff as well as the sommelier. Plate presentation was beautiful. The food, however, was a disappointment, esp. at this price point. Peanut soup as just ok. Without the chicken cracklings it would have been boring. Pea soup was beautiful but had no real flavor other than pea. The lemon ricotta creme was undiscernible. Octopus salad was tough and rubbery. Fois gras was just ok. Beet salad was good. The tomato-basil consomme with the rockfish had no flavor. The crabcake was uninspired. The lamb papardelle got mixed reviews: the lamb itself was good albeit almost without any spice; the papardelle was without flavor. The desserts (and the wine) saved the meal. We will not return."

  • "The only reason I gave it a 3 star for service was once the larger parties started to arrive we were neglected. We waited 25 minutes after we finished our dessert to receive our bill and then another 10 minutes before our server picked up our payment. I can understand if we had after dinner drinks, but we didn't. We are accustomed to a slow fine dining experience, but that was a uncalled for."

  • "The decor is beautiful, the wine list is ample. The menu is complex, sophisticated. Unfortunately, and this could've been just a fluke, the host acknowledged our reservation, then left us waiting for five minutes while he made a phone call. Eventually another host seated us. Our server forgot about us. We managed to get our appetizer order in, but it was another hour until we saw entrees. The food is presently smartly, and cooked very well. But, I've seen more competent service at casual dining chains in a mall parking lot. Upsetting for a place at this price point."

  • "Bottomless mimosas and pastries and savory tapas. Smoked salmon and deviled eggs were great with the darling roasted potatoes. The view was beautiful and will be much better when their outside patio is finished. Definitely a hopping scene for drinks - I will be back for those among the cozy couches and fireplaces. Oh! The donuts were divine!"

  • "Wit & Wisdom never misses the mark; the food and service are imaginative and well executed, and I always feel like a welcome guest. The staff is very careful to meet the needs of diners with severe dietary restrictions (celiac), with no drama ensuing as in other establishments. The sommelier was very helpful and assisted us in choosing the perfect wine to complement our dinner and the preferences of the birthday girl, who is still raving about the food and wine and the place. Since she's hard to please, W&W made me look good! Thank you!"

The service wasn't express and even with the limited choices, the sides delivered were not what was ordered. The food was OK. This was, all in all, less than I expected from a place claiming to be awesome"

  • "I've noticed that both the food and the service fluctuate pretty wildly here. This lunch was, unfortunately, on a downward slope. After giving drink and then, 10 mins later, food orders, we waited another 10 minutes for our drinks and another 30-40 minutes for our food- which would have been fine, even though the restaurant was not full, but for the fact that most of the tables around us were at least given bread as they waited and we were not, not were we asked if we would like to refill our drinks while we waited. The food itself also varied. My companions said the soup of the day was excellent. My salmon steak sandwich, on the other hand, came with none of the promised and delicious-sounding sides and garnishes. Only a basket of fries."

  • "This restaurant at the inner harbor offers certainly one of the best views around the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. The interior is modern and inviting. The employees try hard to create what they believe to be an upscale atmosphere. Unfortunately - like often in Baltimore - the quality of the food does not match the attitude and the price level. We had several courses from the lunch menu and literally none was in any way special. The offered tomato soup for instance was definite a can product (Campbell's comes to mind) that was messed up with a truck load of pepper - hardly eatable. The salad was served with a standard dressing - not even on the level of Newman' own. They managed to create a burger without any taste and the coffee was cold."

  • "I recently stayed in the Four Seasons hotel on a business trip and went out to Wit and Wisdom for dinner. I had the toasted peanut soup and skirt steak with a side of the roasted corn. Food was amazing! I was blown away and literally had NO room for dessert. The server was excellent and answered all of my questions regarding the menu and was very knowledgeable about the food preparations and ingredients (I am gluten free, therefore needed to know ingredients). The toasted peanut soup was very tasty and surprisingly light. Skirt steak was cooked perfectly and the corn was delicious. I would recommend this to a friend in a heartbeat and will most definitely return for a meal if I am ever back in the area!"

  • "This was my first time dining at wit and wisdom for brunch. My boyfriend and I came since we had spa appointments at the hotel later that afternoon. When we sat down for the buffet it had appeared that nothing had been replenished or freshly put out for quite some time. After waiting about 15 minutes for a new order of eggs we were happy with the food but would probably not go back. Everything was very nicely displayed but the options seemed limited. I even over heard the waitress say to a table that had just sat down that they ran out of chicken. The service as usual at the four seasons was exceptional. Numerous staff members asked us if they could get us anything and cleaned the dishes off the table. Would go back for scenery and service."

  • "This is the second time that I have eaten here. I am sorry to say that it was a little disappointing. The octopus salad was excellent but the ribeye was just average. Not what you would expect from this restaurant. Not close to what you would get a decent steakhouse. it just had minimal flavor and seemed like a poorer cut. I hope that this was just a one time event."

  • "I had the 5 course meal with my gorgeous date from Chile. I probably had a piece of nutrition from every part of the food pyramid. Had a sweet red wine from(I believe) Italy. Not only was the food just right, the waitress along with her colleagues did a great job delivering a superb bottle service. She(the waitress) was not too nervous, nor shy; the weather outside "was" gloomy, but the view, from the outside and inside was too beautiful to even note it. The service was well paced, had 2 hours fly by without it ever feeling it. I'd come back again for a special occasion."

  • "My husband & I went to Wit & Wisdom for the Sunday Brunch to relieve the doldrums of late winter. It certainly proved to be the remedy. The buffet selection was plentiful. The food was properly prepared. Service was excellent. I asked for my slice of my broccoli cheese fritata be warmed up. The server brought me a new warm slice. Everything was delightful."

  • "This was our first time visiting Wit & Wisdom, but I have a feeling it won't be our last! When we finally got around to making a reservation for dinner on a Saturday night, the only thing available was 6:00 or 9:00 PM. I kind of had an idea of what we were in for so we opted for the earlier seating so that we would have a choice of the full menu instead of being told that the restaurant was out of various items. We decided upon the tasting menu, which was an experience! The portions were adequate and you were able to enjoy each course individually without feeling like a stuffed pig at the end of the meal! The drink menu is significant as was our bar bill at the end of the night! Don't worry about a jacket and tie. Business casual is OK."

  • "We had brunch Sunday. Hard to believe Four Seasons would permit such a poorly run restaurant be associated with it. While they booked us for brunch, once seated they advised the (meager) buffet would shut down in 10 minutes! We explained our son had to leave before 3:00 (we had a 1:30 reservation), so time was a factor. Since we couldn't get brunch, we ordered off the lunch menu, with most ordering lobster roll. It 15 minutes to get our drinks. It took an hour to get served! We finally had to ask for bread while we waited and our server brought it when lunch was finally being served. My son's crab cake didn't have the aoli mayo on it; took 10 minutes to appear, another 5 to bring it; by then his lunch was cold."

  • "The place itself is nice and has good energy. The food was good, but very over priced for what you get. I ordered the 11oz rib eye and it was 1/2 thick?? I know this place is not a steak house but you get a thicker steak at the Waffle house. The oysters were very small, some of the oysters were less then the size of a quarter. With the small portions and the NYC prices in Bmore....not a good look. Also We had to wait 15 minutes for our first round of drinks. My Wife loved the lobster pot pie and the very expensive drinks were good. I don't mind spending the money on a good meal, but minus the ambience it was an average spot."

  • "If you are from Maryland, do NOT go. The worst crab cake I've had in a restaurant. All "crab flakes", Beet salad was good, and other than the soggy crust, the lobster with black truffles was tasty. Service was totally off; server never checked in with us. This place is for tourists with deep pockets. $250 before tip for two... Disappointing."

Sommelier was insufferable - but the pain didn't last too long and she quickly disappeared. Once your wine has been selected, you can expect a fine (albeit commensurately expensive) dining experience."

  • "Wonderful service from the minute we walked in. We had a table overlooking the water and the décor is very upscale. The bar was very crowded but the noise didn't spill over into the dining area. Our waiter was delightful and friendly and especially helpful in assisting us choose among the many great offerings on the menu. The lobster corn dogs were a treat to start with and the red snapper was excellent as a main course. The wine list is large and we had a great bottle of California red. The desserts were magnificent. Great menu offerings and everything is not only plated beautifully but tastes divine!"

  • "5 Star all the way. We loved it. This visit was for special birthday. Also visited for anniversary. Food iswonderful, and the service, well, it's over the top. I've been exaggerating and telling people that, whenever I turned in my chair to stare out at the harbor, a wait-staff person would refold my napkin and straightedn my silverware. It'sa very lovely place. --- BTW, I learned they stamp valet parking tickets but not the self park. Don't know the delta but will try it out next visit, which will be soon!"

  • "We went to Wit & Wisdom for my husband's birthday and the overall experience was great! My husband ordered the Lobster Pot Pie, where they rolled the pot out on a small moving table and prepared his plate in front of us. And for me, which I like to eat Vegan, they didn't really have a meal listed on the menu, but I asked if there was anything I could order (besides a salad or a plate of sides). And they made a delicious and creative meal, totally plant-based, for me! I always appreciate a restaurant that can create a very creative entree that is Vegan or Vegetarian that isn't just pasta and/or salad. Excellent job! Thank you!"
