Wine Market Bistro is a unique café, wine bar and wine shop all under one roof. We proudly offer over 30 wines by the glass and a 500 bottle selection in the wine shop. Most restaurants charge 300% or more for wine--at Wine Market guests can enjoy amazing wines for a small corkage fee ($10) over the retail price! This is a great savings for any wine lover. We feature a beautiful courtyard patio in the warmer months and a sophisticated Soho Loft like dining area inside all year. • "I had come to brunch with a friend a little over two years ago and thought the meal was ok. Without the gory details, the food was bland. This time around was a game changer. I plan on being back far more often. The Eggs Benedict were amazing (the crab cake was a special chef add-on!Scrumptious!) Service was terrific and our waitress was really patient to let us take our time to decide. My only complaint was that the music was a bit dreadful. 80's music was non stop. Felt like my prom! Otherwise a perfect experience. Can't wait to come back soon. But please update the playlist!"

  • "It was date night and I had to pick a place for two that was going to impress my lady. Mere hours before, I was scrambling to find a place that we hadn't been yet and had been wanting to try. I drove past Wine Market on my way somewhere, and it was like a sign from God. They took my reservation for the time I wanted; it wasn't too crowded and the outdoor seating was great on a mild summer evening. And the food was outstanding. I will definitely be going back."

  • "I admit I am not a foodie. I like the ambience of this restaurant, but I often have trouble finding something I truly like on its menu. I guess the chef is creative , but the food all seems strange to me. I wish the chef would offer at least one boring/mainstream entree each night for the culinary unadventurous. So, if you like to experiment with creative food this is the place for you, otherwise just enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and pretend to tolerate the "weird" offerings. Their wine by the glass is supposed to be 6 ounces, but it always seems less than that."

  • "We had great service, from the moment we entered to our departure after a well paced meal guided by a knowledgeable server."

  • "It is probably a good thing that this restaurant is tucked away in a small neighborhood in Baltimore. The suckling Pig and the monkfish my wife and I enjoyed ranks in the top 5 of all dishes we have ever consumed. This from a couple that has lived in Chicago, traveled abroad and makes a point of dinning in top restaurants around the United States. The service was seamless, the ambiance - special and the food - exceptional, the wine list - great for all types of food pairings. Tim and Cathy Boyd"

  • "You'll enter thru their extensive wine, beer, and spirit shop. Grab a nice bottle of wine and for $10 - enjoy it with your meal. Food was excellent, unique, and creative. Ambience was historic (old factor feel) and fresh. Remember to save room for dessert!"

  • "This restaurant consistently provides one of Baltimore's best dining experiences! The plentiful parking in the private lot and the ability to choose your own wine from the adjoining retail store (where you can also get a 15-percent discount after dinner) are also great."

  • "We have been for both brunch and dinner and very much enjoyed both! Wine Market has a diverse, fresh menu that is thoughtfully assembled with dishes that are carefully prepared. Prix fixe menu for sunday brunch is a great deal!"

  • "This was our fifth or sixth time at Wine Market and we have yet to be let down. Both of us left extremely pleased with our meals and drinks. We can't wait for our next visit."

  • "Consistently tasty and interesting food. Eat outside if you can - a quiet alternative to the energetic restaurant inside."

  • "Wanted to sit outdoors to enjoy the weather and enjoy some great food for Father's Day. Got both with great, attentive service. Located in a reclaimed foundry, we sat in the courtyard. Architectural details of the renovation were very cool. The gazpacho was excellent; rest of the food very good. Menu was somewhat limited, but yummy. Good bloody marys, too! Drove up to Baltimore from Kensington, MD ... and it was well worth the drive. Got a 15% discount on wine after the meal AND took in a short tour of Ft McHenry to walk off our meal. A lovely afternoon."

  • "i can't say enough great things about the service and food here. it was my first time for dinner (the brunch is delicious too!) and everything went super well. they remembered all the details we requested (tying the bday balloons, which i dropped off earlier in the day, to the chairs; timing of birthday cake; candles; etc.). and they let us (a group of 5 good friends) stay late so we could enjoy another bottle of wine and catch up. i highly recommend. thank you wine market!!"

  • "Brought 4 people there -- two had never been there before. Everyone got a different dish and we shared a small plate of the brussels sprouts (yum). Our plates were literally wiped clean it was so delicious. The waitress asked if we were finished and we looked and our plates and everyone laughed. Hardly a speck of food remained."

  • "I was looking for a neighborhood spot with outdoor dining (requested at the time of my Open Table rez) and this did not disappoint. We waited only a few minutes for an outdoor seat. We did wait a while for our waiter to take our drink orders but it was such a beautiful night we hardly minded. Patio was quiet enough for easy conversation. Food: We split the fried oyster appetizer - crispy and delicious, not greasy. Bf had the roasted duck special with dirty rice risotto - duck was cooked perfectly and flavorful, risotto was just ok. I had the culotte steak with a puree which was delicious; the veggies were a touch oversalted. Overall a good meal and enjoyable evening!"

  • "The ambience of Wine Market Bistro both inside and out is its strongest feature. We love the simplicity of the inside of the restaurant and its protected outdoor seating is great for conversation. Our server was fabulous. The menu could use expansion. More non-meat entrees."

  • "My 9 year old grandson and I went for dinner. Our server suggested something for my grandson and recommended one of the two specials being offered for me. Everything came out superbly presented, and tasted fabulous. While a large group was meeting in the back room for dinner, there was no interruption in our meal. All of the staff was extremely friendly and professional. We will definitely return."

  • "I took a colleague here for their first time. I live in the neighborhood so ive been here before. The food was excellent, the service was top notch, and the atmosphere was great. My salmon was cooked perfectly and my colleague's burger was as well. If you go here eat the mac and cheese. Its amazing"

  • "This is my 3rd time to the Wine Market, taking a friend to catch up. They called to remind me of my reservation (appreciated) and from the moment we walked in the door were very attentive to drinks, water and asking if the food pleased us. The food was delicious, we had the culotte steak it was done perfectly. The creamy goat cheese enhanced the beet salad...for dessert, I chose the pistachio-apricot ice cream so rich and full of flavorful chunks with the almond tart. My friend had the chocolate terrine which she said was rich and delicious. THe wine pairings worked well and I bought a couple bottles in the market upon our departure. At some point I should take my husband!!"

  • "We had a very nice meal. Nothing spectacular, but good. Tomato-infused olive oil with the bread is a nice touch. Salads were of average size but were well-composed. My entree (soft-shell crab special) was very good. I like that they are transparent about pricing. The ambiance is wonderful, and the ease of parking is a real plus. Nothing in particular makes the food stand out from the many other similar establishments in Baltimore, but it's good enough to remain in a rotation of places we will visit occasionally."

  • "Our waitress was excellent. We started with the charceuterie plate. The chicken liver mousse was amazing- wish it included some cheese. There is a separate cheese plate, but no combo. My wife got the 3 course prix fixe and wine pairings. The short rib entree was amazing. I had the lamb burger, it was ok. "

  • "Had a dinner party after the BSO Show House at Silo Point and Wine Market Bistro was nearby. Beautiful night ate so we ate on the patio. Ordered steak salads, tuna salad and egg ravioli. The steak was amazing! Brilliant flavor of seasonings. The tuna salad was also excellent and the egg ravioli was a surprise. Thought it was egg pasta; but, soft yolk was inside the ravioli! Very good but very rich with the egg and sauce. Serving size was just right portion...a larger serving would be too much. Wines selected were nice and the passion fruit iced tea (the only kind offered All desserts were delicious but very small. Nice finish after a filling meal. Would definitely return and have already recommended it to several people."

  • "This was a second visit since the first one for dinner was so good. I brought 5 friends with me for Sunday brunch. They were all very impressed with the food-presentation and quality-but the service was almost terrible. We had to ask for everything-salt and pepper (we had salads, so we wanted fresh ground). We could see the peppermill but they brought us pepper in a shaker until we asked again. Had to ask for water refills. Didn't clear our first course dirty plates before bringing the second course, so we had to make room for the dirty dishes. Never asked how was anything after delivering. For such a nice place, we think the servers need some refinement. Come to think of it, the server I had for dinner before was not very professional."

  • "We love the Wine Market Bistro. The service is attentive, the food is consistently good and, weather-permitting, there's an opportunity to dine outside. However, this time around, we had very limited food choices. Our party consisted of 4 diners, 3 of whom do not eat shellfish or pork. We generally count on having a few veggie/fin fish options. On this particular night, the fish special was catfish, which was a little too exotic for our tastes. Unfortunately, an alternate fish option, containing smoked fish, wasn't acceptable to the diner who has an allergy to smoked fish/meats. Our one dining companion who opted for meat was disappointed to learn that the grill special for the evening was rabbit legs. Next time, we'll check the menu."

  • "We went to use Groupon for Charcuterie & Beer Flights, but had to order the oysters, as we always do....perfectly coated, crispy on the outside, succulent on the inside, w/ just enough spice in the sauce. The special beef tartare was too tempting to exclude so we shared that as well. It might not be there next time & we were not disappointed...very flavorful, slightly spicy. The beer flights (4) were tame, but solid choices. We ordered a Belgian tripel to top it, but was sold out. The staff offered a bottle of Saison DuPont. It was an easy decision. W/ just enough room for dessert, we chose the lemon buttermilk cake w/black peppercorn ice cream & apple coffee cake w/ginger ice cream. Ice cream - house made & delicious. Excellent evening o/a"

  • "The wine list was impressive the rest is a little less desired. Although food was ok service was extremely slow. We waited over an hour for our food due to some ticket issues in the kitchen according to the waitress and other staff. they did bring a nice cheese plate and two glasses of wine, but we allowed 2.5 hours before hitting a show and we were still a half-hour late missing part of Act 1. Been here before and it was always good on more crowded nights. With the many choices in Baltimore I most likely will not return."
