  • "The food was excellent and the service was great as usual. We brought some out of town friends there for dinner and conversation and they loved it. We would recommend to anyone"

  • "We received a gift certificate and were pleasantly surprised. We would definitely go back when its not so crowded. Loved the booths by the bar."

  • "We dined at Wheatfields for my husband's birthday and they never disappoint. From the fun pre dinner Happy hour with free cheese and crackers (don't miss the cheese) to impeccable service from the staff, they make every dining experience memorable. The food is consistently great and they don't fret over special orders or changes. This is one of our favorite go to restaurants!"

  • "Great food and ambience. The waitress was really nice and it's a great place for a fancier dinner. A little pricey but worth it! The bathroom was a little dirty. Overall good Italian place to go though."

  • "We've never been disappointed when dining at Wheatfields in Saratoga. For lunch or dinner, the meals have always been great. The wait staff are courteous and helpful. It's our go-to spot when we frequent Saratoga, which is at least monthly."

  • "We are always pleased going to Wheatfields. The food is very good and moderately priced for the experience."

  • "I took my family there on Saturday night for to celebrate an 18th birthday. We were seated at 6:00. At first the dining room was relatively quiet, however as the tables filled the noise became too loud for us to have a conversation without raised voices and repetition. The tables are arranged so close that the wait staff keep bumping into my chair. Their were a lot of children present which added to the noise. Word to the wise if you want quiet dining avoid prime time and the main dining room."

  • "Good food, nice atmosphere! We decided to take a booth and it was close to the bar...very noisy; u could hear all the conversations:( Not very well soundproofed"

  • "I don't eat out often, but when I do this is my preferred place to go. I go for the vegetarian entrees with whole wheat pasta. The only reason I didn't rate the food 5 stars is that on this occasion I happened to order something I didn't like as much as on my previous visits. I usually stick to dishes I know I like, and they are 5-star at Wheatfields"

  • "My second visit to this restaurant. Excellent food and service!!!"

  • "We had dinner reservations for two and requested Main Dinning room seating. What we got was a seating for two right next to the bar that was so loud and I could not hear my wife who was only 4 ft. Away. No attempt was ever made by the staff to acknoladge my open table request for main room dining, nor did they apologize to me knowingly they completely disregarded my request. Yes the food was ok and our waiter was also ok. However, the hostest looked like she didn't care, and the seating arrangements we got, certainly showed this. For this reason we will no-longer be eating here again and dine else-ware."

  • "Everything was great about our dinner. Our table was ready on time, the food was great, and it was a nice place to celebrate the day. Will definitely go back again."

  • "Food only average. Risotto was overcooked. 3 cheese ravioli was mediocre."

  • "Enjoyed the gluten free pastas and bread. Great customer service our server was pleasant and informative"

  • "Wheatfields has the ambience that I enjoy - good food, good friends. They have the best calamari this side of the moon. Although it was New Year's Eve when we dined with family, the service and food were great. I recommend the Saratoga and Clifton Park Wheatfields!"

  • "We got a table on a busy New Year's Eve. I'm impressed by the use of local products. The pasta is homemade and delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy environment with really good food."

  • "Great way to start First Night Saratoga. Great food in our stomachs ready to face the cold and fun. Service was great and attentive. Dinner came out in a timely manner yet we didn't feel rushed."

  • "The service is great. Unfortunately the food is not that good. Nothing is properly seasoned and all the pasta is overcooked. Disappointed."
    Dined on 12/30/2013
  • "Never a disappointment, our waitress Bridget was wonderful and very attentive. The food amazing and the tables near the front especially are always fun for the view. Homemade meatballs the size of Manhattan that are scrumptious as is all the other homemade pasta......a must!"

  • "We're from out of town but pass by Saratoga Springs regularly on I-87. From the web, Wheatfields looked like a nice special treat for Christmas eve with my daughter and her fiancé. Despite our protests they seated us next to the bar which might have been ok except for the three huge TVs. Considering how much we paid I would have expected something classier and an otherwise excellent dinner was ruined. I couldn't wait for it to be over so we could get out of there."

  • "Very festive and delicious food on Christmas Eve! Wonderful ambiance."

  • "We had a very nice dinner but were seated in the area off of the bar and it was very loud. We will certainly go back but will ask for seating in the main dining room or up by the front windows. The food was great. Chicken Milanese was a delicious...and a large serving too! The grilled tuna was one of the specials for the day and it was terrific. The service was very, very good."

  • "I like the idea that when I go there I know the quality of food that I will be served, the professional services from the staff, and the accommodation to suit my taste."

  • "Food was great. If Establishment is going to have a 15 minute cancellation policy then they should get you seated within 15 minutes of your reservation time which wasn't the case. The excellent meal that followed eased my dissatisfaction."

  • "I love going to Wheatfields! They have great homemade wheat pasta and can accommodate my vegan and allergy to oil. Staff has been friendly and knowledgeable. They have made me a whole wheat pasta with veggie stock and tons of different veggies. It has been different every time but delicious every time!"

  • "Good italian cuisine in saratoga. Staff is not as helpful as could be and the bartender is sub par."

  • "We went on a Saturday night when the restaurant was really busy so I would definitely recommend a reservation. My husband had a chicken and sausage pasta dish which he said was good. I had the pasta primavera with gluten free rice noodles. They also had gf corn pasta. I felt that they didn't really toss it with enough oil, although it was cooked just right and the vegetables which were matchstick cut were crisp. It lacked flavor for me but then again I didn't add cheese to it. The wine list was not extensive but was adequate. I had the gluten free chocolate mousse and my husband had the tiramisu, both were good."

  • "Restaurant on the main drag in Saratoga Springs so thought might be typical touristy but food and service very good"
    Dined on 10/25/2013
  • "The table we were given was wobbling so badly that our candle slid off. My wife found a cork cut in half on the chair that she sat on and that was the obvious solution for the wobble. She reached for the salt shaker on the tagliatelle primavera for the first time in the 8 years I've known her. The mushroom risotto was paste and unfortunately we compared it to our risotto we had the previous evening at Jacob and Anthony's down the street which was awesome. We are trying very hard to hang on to the restaurants that we went to when we met and this was a great one but has been in decline for many years. We are very lucky to be very close to the Clifton park wheat fields bistro which I highly recommend about 10 miles to south of the original."

  • "Wheatfields has a comprehensive menu that caters to vegetarian and vegan diets, gluten-free diets, and non-restrictive diets. The bread and garlic butter is a fantastic starter and I love the three cheese ravioli! Portions are normal but quite filling. The service is relatively quick and the employees are friendly. I would definitely recommend Wheatfields!"
