  • "Always a treat! We go at least twice a month for lunch. Cannot go wrong."

  • "This is a special place with delicious food, super service, and a quiet location."

  • "This was my first time at this place, and I have to say I will go there again. The service was very good, and it didn't seemed rushed and professional. The wine list was pretty good for the size of the restaurant. I will say the highlight of the evening was the calamari which was some of the best I've ever had, and I live at the oceanfront in Virginia Beach where there are numerous places that serve fine calamari. The main courses (both fish) were perfectly cooked, and the presentation was outstanding. Overall I would recommend this to anyone"

  • "A restaurant that seems to be always a good choice for good food and selection of menu items. Not disappointing."

  • "This restaurant is in a grocery store shopping center, and exceeds expectations. The waiter was refreshingly wine-knowledgeable and the menu had some new twists on regional favorites."

  • "The food here is simply incredible. Don't miss this place if you are in the Williamsburg area."

  • "Always an enjoyable dining experience at Waypoint!!"

  • "Usually love the food here, but it can be a little inconsistent though. It doesn't happen often - just becomes a problem when bringing visitors."

  • "We had fabulous food and drink, and superb service last week at Waypoint. You really couldn't ask for a better experience. Each course outdid the previous one. We will definitely be returning!"

  • "Best Oysters in Williamsburg. Everything else is great too!!!"

  • "We weren't expecting the limited menu on the 15th (Saturday after Valentine's) which was a bit of a problem given the various food needs of my group. With that said, the small plate entrees (3 to choose from) and hearty appetizers made for great meals for each of us. The 'extra' dining room in the front (we had a reservation so not a walk in) wasn't as nice as the others but the server was good and made us feel at home. The scallop dish (a Williamsburg boutique shop keeper raved so I tried) were indeed wonderful! The wine was good -- not overly expensive. The clientele were dressed -- not a jeans type of place so for special occasions. I would have liked to have choices from their main menu since I had booked it on that presumption."

  • "My wife and I went for a special night out for Valentine's Day and we weren't disappointed. For starters, my wife really enjoyed the selection of meats and cheeses on the Artesian Charcuterie plate and I loved the roasted tomato crab and jalapeno bisque. I like spicy foods and this fit the bill. My wife found the beef tenderloin perfectly cooked and extremely tender. I found the rockfish to be delicious and enjoyed the baked risotto that came with it. We split the special Valentine's chocolate raspberry cream filled torte and cleaned the plate. The seating was a little tight with couples seated fairly close on either side but in general the atmosphere was very comfortable and the service very good."

  • "Was here for Valentine's Day. Has a good dinner. We both had schnitzel, my wife thought it had too much salt, I thought it was fine. Good value overall for the prices, not inexpensive but not outlandish. Special treat of free chocolates and a rose for my wife for Valentine's Day. We will be back."

  • "Set in a strip mall adjacent to Kingsmill & Bush Gardens, Waypoint is a pleasant surprise for those looking for a good restaurant. The chef excels at seafood, & red meats. The Oysters cannot be beat, & specials showcase local ingredients. On our latest visit the rockfish was pristinely fresh & the accompaniments, especially the rice cake were innovative & innovative. Throughout the last two years service has evolved becoming quite efficient & professional. Wines show selection care & are fairly priced. Waypoint is now the quality restaurant for the Kingsmill side of Williamsburg. As a local I highly recommend it for tourists, conventioneers, & locals wishing a quality dining experience."

  • "We've been wanting to try Waypoint for a while and finally got the chance. It was well worth the wait! The inside is beautifully decorated - warm and welcoming. Our server was fabulous and the food was great. We will definitely be back."

  • "Situated in a strip mall, we first tried this restaurant for lunch while shopping nearby. We were very surprised and impressed with the menu and the ambiance and the level of service. So we planned to bring our adult children for a nice dinner to share our find. Our kids who just moved to Williamsburg from a large metropolitan area were as impressed with the restaurant as we were. We asked for a quiet spot when we made our reservations. We were seated next to the in-wall fireplace. We had a wonderful evening and an amazing meal that lasted over two hours."

  • "This is a great restaurant in the Kingsmill area of Williamsburg. It features imaginative cuisine in an in likely strip mall setting. The chef excels at seafood, but our Xmas Eve dinner of venison was totally delicious. The venison was moist & flavorful w/ a surround of VA Edwards ham. The sides were flavorful & complemented the venison quite well. We had a lovely evening on a very busy Xmas Eve. Congratulations to the restaurant on producing a fine evening of quality food."

  • "This great restaurant off the beaten path in Williamsburg, VA surprised us with their amazing food, unique take, and excellent service. Don't let the strip mall location deter you, the food was just as good as (and better than some) Colonial/downtown Williamsburg spots. We were there for a Sunday night pre-fixe, it was definitely worth the deal!"

  • "Thank you Waypoint for providing a wonderful experience (as always)."

  • "We were looking for a seafood restaurant and we discovered this spot with high ratings and a reasonable menu. It was a great find for tourists not familiar with Williamsburg dining options."

  • "This is truly an outstanding restaurant. Beginning with our greeting, the service is awesome. Our server, Emma, was one of the best. The food is wonderful...we enjoyed the rockfish on pumpkin and lobster rissoto and the chef's schnitzel. The donut hole with warm apple syrup dessert was off the charts delicious. Waypoint could not have impressed us any more than they did. Special thanks to Emma who really did a fantastic job."

  • "This was my first trip to Waypoint with a group of long-time friends. It will NOT be my last! The seafood was outstanding and every course, from appetizer to dessert, was skillfully prepared and delectable. Planning to bring my husband next month when we visit Williamsburg again. Reservations during prime dining hours are a must - it was packed to the walls from 7-9. Nice to find this calibre of restaurant on the Kingsmill side of Williamsburg away from the worst of the noise and crowds. One note: This is NOT a quiet dinner - the design of the space allows for a higher than average noise quotient from other tables. Yet the noise is not overbearing and still highly enjoyable."

  • "Table for four, Thursday night. This popular restaurant was very busy, but also very attentive to diners. There was a good vibe throughout, and the food was its usual goodness. There were no complaints at our table!"

  • "Some German specialties on the menu but they arrive slowly and taste mediocre. The server was nice but the food took forever to arrive. Generally disappointing!"

  • "I hope this becomes a tradition every year as the food was excellent and the Ruladen was as it is supposed to be. My guests were very suprized with the snitzel as they said it was excellent which made me very happy. They served the food hot and they never rushed us and the waiter was very friendly."

  • "I liked the up-scale feel of the place for a business lunch. The salads are ex- cellent, as well as the soup and omelet. We're making it our once-a-month lunch place for comparing notes on our busi- ness and developing our friendship."

  • "Dined at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sat in booth which was nice. The first glass of proseco was somewhat lukewarm and flat, but the waiter was quick to bring me another. The artisan cheese & meat plate wasn't what we thought. Too much salami; duck liver pate; not enough cheese. Crispy potato pancakes were good. the market salad was good. Waypoint Shellfish & grits was very good; but unfortunately, they were already out of the blackened fish special for the night. (surprising, since it was only about 8pm.) Didn't get dessert. Disappointed to see that with a flat first drink and no fish special I ordered, nothing was offered as either a discount or free drink, or dessert."

  • "This restaurant has become a huge hit in the Williamsburg area. I know it is because of the food but the wait staff deserve a great big shout out! They really make the difference."

  • "This restaurant is wonderful, very close to home but, most of all, a really fine dining experience. Food is always delicious and service is excellent. It has become one of our favorites."

  • "What a gem! We began with fresh and seasonal heirloom tomato salad with bourbon infused watermelon, feta cheese, and green goddess dressing. Entrees included grouper set atop a bed of chipotle sweet potatoes & fresh corn and lima beans with a nice light sauce. Absolutely delicious & cooked to perfection. Next was chef's pork schnitzel with Yukon potato salad and dill cucumber salad & lemon sauce. Beyond description! The meat was a nice thickness & very moist. Delicious. For dessert, chocolate mousse martini pie & chocolate peanut butter pie. Both desserts melt in your mouth delicious. Our server Eric was very customer oriented & well versed on the menu. One of the best waiters in our area. Don't miss this dining experience."
