Vintage Prime SteakhouseConsistently excellentI have going to Vintage for years now and it's food, service and wine list remain consistently excellent! The staff is always attentive and always makes us feel like we're the only table in the house despite the fact that the dining room is full.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentI work in NYC and have been to a lot of steak places. Great food good service and nice people. Blows away insignia!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMForget the quiet, romanticForget the quiet, romantic conversation. Get
your carniverous yearnings satisfied with a
succulent steak, superbly prepared with great
steak house sides.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA little bit on the high sideA little bit on the high side with their prices would be my only complaint everything else was was fantastic5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this placeVisited Vintage for our anniversary. Marinated rib eye was out of this world. Service was flawless. We also liked the new look inside. Great place for special occasions or if your looking for a quality upscale restaurant.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDecor has changed :-(I used to love the cowboy decor here as did all my friends. Now it's been redone to be too trendy. It's lost it's charm in that sense. I'd love to see the old "look" come back. Food was still very good, and staff was very pleasant, but it's lost the charm it once had.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding food and service! We visited Vintage Prime as first-timers for a special birthday dinner. We were seated promptly at the time of our reservation, received outstanding service from Bobby and other staff members, and the food was outstanding. Our party of four ordered different appetizers, salads, and entrees, and every dish was wonderful. The wine list includes some good wines at moderate prices, and even the desserts were outstanding. The prices are similar to other high-end Long Island Steakhouses (Insignia, Paces, Prime, etc) but I found the quality of the food and service and the overall experience far superior at Vintage Prime.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMRestaurant WeekMy wife and I enjoy dinner at Vintage Steakhouse during Long Island Restaurant Week because we enjoy the food, which is out of our price range at the restaurant's usual prices. The selection for restaurant week is limited, but varied enough to create some difficult choices. The portions are large enough to satisfy. The food is delicious and the service professional.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary DinnerFor the most part, the food was excellent. We had porterhouse for two with mushrooms and broccoli rabe. Broccoli rabe is one of our favorite veggies, but in this case I found it lacking. It should have been more bitter, and also when it was served it was not very warm. In general though the meal was very good, but the pricing was a little out of line..This has been our 3rd time to V. I was not told when I made my res. that rest.week menu ended at6PM. I should have been told. Then an hour later, a couple at next table were told it ended at 7PM. ???? I am disappointed, and will probably not return.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, very noisyThe food and the service were both fantastic. Unfortunately our table was srt in the middle of a 'funnel' where everyone had to pass by. The people passing by was disturbing. We also had the misfortune of a couple who noticed friends at the table next to us and engaged them in loud conversation, while standing next to our table. I felt management should have taken a step to control this.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWent here for our anniversaryWent here for our anniversary and was not disappointed. The crab cake appetizer was stellar!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a 50th birthday partyWe had a 50th birthday party at Vintage. Everything was outstanding! We will definitely be back!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMExpensive, but great no frillsExpensive, but great no frills steak house. Whoever picked their artwork has different tastes from me.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious Dining in StyleEverything was exquisite from the walk in (I love the new decor) to dessert (chocolate cake was fabulous)! For appetizers we had the pear salad, which was unbelievable. The raw oysters were really fresh and delicious too. For an entree we shared the porterhouse for two medium, which was tender and extremely flavorful (one of the best cuts we have ever had). For sides we had sautéed spinach, as well as indulging on Parmesan truffle fries and baked stuffed potato (it was worth it)! Overall, amazing dining experience with top notch service (timely and attentive), we will definitely be back real soon!3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat foodHad a perfectly cooked steak and great appetizers. I highly recommend this restaurant.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent steak house. WeExcellent steak house. We had shrimp cocktail (4 jumbos) - tai calamari and black and blue tuna to start - all were excellent and portion were ample.
Sides were nicely done and the Porterhouse for two was a knock out!
Service was terrific. All requests were met with a quick response.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMVery pleased, could not askVery pleased, could not ask for more. The Oysters on the half shell were unbelievable.3/7/2013 12:00:00 AMBest steak in the areaThis local gem is hidden on 25A and if you blink you miss it as you drive by. I found this by accident and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the steaks, the tastiness of the sides and the great drinks. The 10 oz filet is reasonably priced and you can cut it with your fork. The steak fries are more like steak log fries with crispy skins and tasty centers. The grilled pear salad with strawberries and walnuts is a great start and big enough so you can easily share. I really like the Hawaiian Punch mixed drink but they have a great selection of wines and beers. The ambience is nice but nothing great, but let's face it, it's the food that really counts here.12/23/2012 12:00:00 AManother good meal at vintage.another good meal at vintage. not crazy about new decorating choices but doesnt affect excellent quality of food12/14/2012 12:00:00 AM
