The appetizer menu is very interesting - worth ordering a couple of things to share a new taste experience. Nice selection of wines that pair well with the food.   • "This was my first Dine LA experience ever. The food here was outstanding. The waitress was incredibly prompt with service requests and such. The entrana skirt steak is a must try! The ambiance was very warm and great for a date night, or a classier evening meal. I stuffed myself silly but it was worth it."

  • "The whole crew was great everyone upbeat and welcoming. Waitress was very helpful, she knew all the details and answered my questions clearly. Everything we tried was very good, the macaroni and cheese was a little rich for me but obviously high quality ingredients. My Bife Chorizo (NY Steak) was very good and very well prepared. I ate the whole thing. Definitely recommend. For me, I still prefer the American old school steakhouse experience (Dal Rae, Taylor's) but this place is a great option and I really hope they succeed - very nice people and great food. My only suggestion, for those like me it would be great to be able to get a baked potato."

  • "The menu had something for everyone in our party of 8!! The strip steaks were outstanding and the filet of sole was delicious. The veggies accompanying the entrees were cooked perfectly and the variety was amazing. The French fries were the best ever!!! Portions were generous enough to share. Service could have been a bit more efficient as there were only 2 other tables occupied at the time. Bus boys did not know where to place the food. Dressings on the side had to be asked for a second time. But, we will all return."

Skirt steak was flavorful, as was the paella and the salmon was also quite good. With friendly service and good food, this was a very enjoyable evening out."

  • "We tried it for the first time & were really impressed, the food is great, the servers attentive without smothering you. We made reservations at 6:30 for 7pm on a Saturday without problem. We were seated immediately upon arrival, it was full but not packed. By the time we finished dinner it was at capacity and the tables are pretty close to each other. Any possibility for conversation was lost, just too loud, so go before 6pm to avoid the noise. We split a salad to start and it was more than plenty for us. I had Flat Iron Steak (Churassco al Malbec) based on reviews and they were right, it was delicious, very well prepared. My date had the salmon and was very impressed. The crepes for dessert were yummy! I say 2 thumbs up!"

  • "The food is great but the service does not match this quality. We found on their web site about the happy hour, with tapas till 6.30; so we arrived early for dinner, wanting to enjoy tapas at our table. However, we were told that tapas were only served at the bar and there was no way to have them at our table. If we wanted to have tapas we had to move to the bar, after we were already seated. I found this not only hard to understand but also rude . There will not be a second visit to Ushuaia for us."

  • "Having actually been to Ushuaia, Argentina we discovered this local restaurant about a year ago. It's a steak house, and a good alternative to Pacific Dining Car nearby. My favorite on the menu is the skirt steak, which is heavenly (and probably the best in town). The atmosphere is delightful, and the service always excellent. The low ceiling with no drapes does add to the noise level. We have celebrated several birthdays at Ushuaia and find it a special treat."

  • "We could not understand why they would not serve the Tapas (small plates) in the main dining since the place is not big. We had reservations, but waited 30 minutes to be moved to the lounge area so that we could pick also have Tapas. The place was very noisy so we had a hard time hearing each other at our table. The food was very good and the service was good also. I was disappointed that they do not carry A-1 steak sauce."

  • "This was our 3rd time at Ushuaia and frankly, it was disappointing. Empanada appetizer was delish! New York steak, while it was cooked just as I ordered it, was gristly and had more fat than it should have. My husband had the Rib Eye and he was disappointed also. I think we'll take a break from Ushuaia for a while. It is expensive and while we knew that, this time it was expensive and disappointing! NOT a good combination!"

  • "I tried Ushuaia for the first time this weekend. Went there on a Sunday night, not very crowded. We had a couple of empanadas, a steak, and the paella. All the food was good, although I thought the paella was the weakest of our dishes. The steak was definitely the standout winner. Our waiter was great. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Overall, a very good experience."

So I thought to make it a perfect end to a great day to go and check this place out. It's so close to home I could walk, great service Amazing "steaks" even though I had the Lamb I did taste his steak. The empanda's are yummy too. I love my glass of Malbec the selection of the evening. And yes we even made room for desset the crepes off the chain goodnes. I will pass on my new find and will return again real soon! The prime rib served as a good substitute, but it was a substitute -- no getting around not having the star of the show. Desert proved too rich for my blood, but many a foodie would likely enjoy the interesting offerings. Yelp's four-star review seems accurate (but running out of NY strip seems questionable)."

  • "When walking into the restaurant it looks amazing and as you look around at what others have ordered everything looks spectacular. Our waitress was sub par because we sat at the table for about 5 minutes after asking for water until we just asked a buser. The wait for the entree was about the worst I have seen at a $$$. There was honestly a 45 minute wait for our entree after the appetizer came. It was so bad I ordered coffee to keep my self awake. Once our food came my wife's fish was overcooked. The staff was nice and provided an alternative dish but it was more expensive and we had to pay the difference. It was disheartening to wait and then wait again. We had an 8pm reservation and we didn't give to leave until 10pm for two courses."
