  • "I had to spend three evenings in Ft. Myers on business. I ended up eating here three nights in a row...the food was so good and reliable. Nice bar. Very good by the glass wine selection. Great service. I highly recommend Twisted Vine."

  • "We have visited the Twisted Vine several times and always have a great meal. We always request Quinn as our waiter he takes awesome care of us."

  • "We learned of your Ladies Night through word of mouth. My friends and I have attended twice now and plan on coming back for more. We were impressed with the great hors d'oeuvres, the extensive wine selection, the great giveaways and the overall upscale look of the restaurant. If we have any complaint at all, it's that this event has become so popular that the place becomes so packed you can barely squeeze between the tables. And the noise level when you gather that many women together is quite high."

  • "Server spilled a fish dish on the table, my purse and my phone. He barely apologized and never brought out a complimentary dish or took anything off the bill. Every dish needed seasoning. Will NOT go back."

  • "The Cheese Plate was amazing. The ribeye was delicious. The duck didnt meet my expectations. Good atmosphere. A little noisy. Great service."

  • "Twisted Vine Bistro has become our favorite restaurant in downtown Ft. Myers Highly recommend the Duck entree."

  • "I was disappointed in The Twisted Vine. Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed the TVs and decided right then that this must be a "bar" place, rather than a fine dining place. Our food was good, but uninspiring -- mashed potatoes, asparagus and grilled salmon -- nothing that set it apart from any home cook. Even though we dined early, the noise level was very loud -- and there weren't that many people in the restaurant yet. I can not recommend this restaurant, and would not return."

  • "We live in Naples and with all the good restaurants there, we find we love to go to Fort Myers just to have dinner at the Twisted Vine. Food is always excellent and service is extremely good."

  • "We were up in Fort Myers for an art show. Twisted Vine has the best food in the downtown area. Very Good!"
    Dined on 6/6/2014
  • "Have been here before with a five star rating but as of last Friday, a three star at best. Noisy, food was just ok, Scallops, Rib Eye and for what was presented and the quality, well over priced. Would not return. Heard that they possibly changed chefs."

  • "Four of us had dinner before the Florida Rep performance. Everyone's first time. Thoroughly enjoyed the service, ambiance & most of all the food. We'll be back! Especially as we have a subscription at the Rep every season & hope to enjoy many meals at the vine! "

  • "Very nice place. Will return for sure. We had six people and everyone had a great time and the food was excellent! "

  • "I love this little downtown restaurant. Their outdoor courtyard is quaint and the food and service is always wonderful. There is also a nice wine list and outstanding tapas. "

  • "This used to be an excellent restaurant. Last time we went the food was way below par. Thought we would give it another go. The bread was cold and not very tasty. The filet was less than tender and lacked any flavor. The wife's salmon I tried. First off it was farmed. You can tell by the cooked color. And it was not very good. It's a shame the food has degraded here. We used to frequent it iften"

  • "My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner on the patio. It was quiet and charming sitting outside on a lovely night. Food was great as usual. It remains favorite restaurant of ours. "

  • "Two of us ordered their special for the evening, short ribs. They came out medium rare, we couldn't cut through them with a regular knife, the waiter brought out a steak knife, we cut them and then couldn't chew them. The waiter brought them back to the kitchen and waiter came back and said they weren't braised enough. We ordered burgers because we had play tickets and had a time issue. Burgers were very good but not what we wanted for the evening. Waiter did a very good job in spite of the issue. Restaurant didn't offer us anything for our disappointment. Never saw a manager."

  • "Went there for dinner to celebrate my wife's and my 30 year anniversary. Sat outdoors in the courtyard for dinner with great service, great atmosphere, great food, and great wine. Asked if we could sit inside for dessert and subsequently enjoyed a lava chocolate cake and additional glasses of red wine. The décor was very warm and comfortable. When we got our bill we were informed that our dessert was for free and we were presented with an anniversary card with signatures from the staff. Very classy and felt like we were family. Very nice touch to an evening. Thank you to the staff of Twisted Vine!"

  • "The food was very mediocre and overpriced for the quality. I had the duck breast on the risotto. The flavor of the risotto contrasted with rather than complemented the sauce on the duck breast. The bread tasted stale. No vegetarian choices on the menu. "

  • "The Twisted Vine is expensive with entrees in the high $30's plus. As a result, one would expect good food, prepared correctly and served hot. What a let down. I will not return and I would not recommend this place. The food was marginal at best and the service was slow and amateurish. All in all, it was an expensive evening ($250 for four) for very little value. I mean, really, how do you screw-up a Filet Mignon? There are a number of very good restaurants in Fort Myers. Spare the disappointment and avoid the Twisted Vine. "

  • "I have been here for Christmas parties, quiet dinners with the husband, lively dinners for four with friends. Never disappointed with the food or service. I love to go here for any reason. Really great entrees, salads, or appetizers. It's my "downtown" choice! "

  • "This was our 50yr anniversary and it could not have been more enjoyable the food and service were great. We especially liked the calamari"

  • "The meal, the service{Tim} was all just great. We look forward to returning and trying the rest of the menu. The presentation of the meal was well done. The twisted Vine was a pleasant surprise. May be our new favourite restaurant in Ft. Myers. We just purchased in the area. I enjoyed not being rushed to get more tables per night. We go out lots and can see this happening more and more like your neighbour Fireside. Special mention to Tim again. Jim and Sherry "

  • "Found the Twisted Vine Bistro searching online since we don't know the area. They have a great website which details their offerings and gives the best visual of the dining area. Two of us had the eggs Benedict and the other two had the omelet. All dishes were great. We will definitely return when traveling in the area or meeting family as we did on this occasion. "

  • "Great place to share a great night with your wife and a few friends. The food was outstanding. I had the Grouper special which was as good as I have ever had!"

  • "Although the stone walls and high ceilings made it not. quiet evening, the food and the service was great. Fine martini served with an skim of ice on top, and four meals (trout, duck, shrimp & grits, and short rib) were all excellent. Will go back for sure."

  • "Dreadful and rude service. Awful food. Do not go to this place."

  • "Tasty appetizers, great drinks, and good service! I came with a party of 8, one of which was a small child, and we all had a great time. The dinner food is rather pricy (starting at $20 a plate), but the appetizers were sufficient to fill our bellies and much more reasonable in cost. We had drinks, shared our apps, the cheese plate and flatbread apps are great! On a Sunday afternoon we were not crowded and the atmosphere was very nice. The server was attentive, almost too attentive as he tried taking some unfinished meals away that were still being eaten. Would I come back? Sure! Overall, I had a great time and my group did as well."

  • "Twisted Vine is a good restaurant with generally good food. If you can eat outside in the Courtyard area it is a very pleasant night. Inside it is a very loud restaurant and then with live music it is very difficult to have a conversation. However our downtown has very few quality restaurants, we seem to be a haven for Sports Bar type dining venues and one owner is becoming prevalent. Maybe that's what works but it would be nice to have some more good choices."

  • "Went there because of its great reviews. Service was not good (server was completely overextended and couldn't cover all of his table, kitchen was backed-up and food arrived late), drinks and dinner were mediocre and pricey (1/2 of flatbread was burnt but I didn't ask for a new one because server never returned to table and I knew it would take too long to replace). Only redeeming factor was that server recognized the issues and was very apologetic about our wait and the burnt food (removed the charge for it). Great location and outdoor seating, but wouldn't go back."

  • "Due to a special event in the area which snarled traffic and made parking difficult, we arrived 25 minutes late expecting to not be seated. To the contrary we were told that they wouldn't give away our table and were seated right away. Since we were going to the theater the staff made sure that our food arrived quickly and we were very pleased with the quality (salmon and trout)."

  • "Great Location Excellent wine list more entrees needed great service"

  • "The food is very good. I ordered the seafood lasagna and it was ok. However my two dining partners ate the duck breast which was excellent. The wedge salad is terrific and only wished I had room for dessert. Great wine list."

  • "Not a fan of brussel sprouts? Try these with bacon & onions as an app. Very nice! Delicious onion soup. Equally tasty soup du jour -- tomato dill bisque. Grilled cheese pot roast is mostly a tender, flavorful meat sandwich but very tasty & filling. Mushroom flat bread was enjoyable. Burgers are half-pound & cooked correctly! Bacon and a tasty soft cheese. Put the mustard sauce on the side. Homemade ketchup was super -- like a chunky marinara. Extensive wine list. Didn't try the entrees but they looked good! Bread & Olive oil dip needs to be more diner-friendly. One tiny dipping dish was served for 4 people. $10 for a well martini is high."

  • "Consistently good food and service. Great attention to detail."

  • "Food was ok but not worth the prices charged. Would go back for a glass of wine but not much else."
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "I chose this restaurant based on several website reviews. the food was average at best, portions are small, and overall it was very disappointing. To pay over $30 for a very small entree with a tiny side item is never fun, but it's worth it if the food is outstanding, which this definitely wasn't. Scallops weren't fresh and were rubbrery-overcooked; cheeses were a little long in the tooth - two of the five we ordered would have been tossed out at my own house due to age - the others were stale, and the breads were also stale. The fish was very average, nothing special although it was the 'special' - and two of the salads arrived without dressing, for which we had to wait several minutes. I'd say choose another location."
