Diner Reviews
  • "This may be our new go to special occasion restaurant in Vegas. We celebrated our anniversary at Twist and were so thankful we did! It was a pleasant surprise to see Chef Gagnaire at the restaurant. In addition, he came to our table and greeted us. Catherine, our waitress, was wonderful and very pleasant with a sense of humor. All of the staff receive a thumbs up. The tasting menu was amazing and it is nice to have a choice of how many courses you want. A suggestion to those with a smaller appetite, go with four courses so you have room for all 5 desserts! I enjoyed five courses but did not have enough room to thoroughly enjoy all the desserts and the complimentary 'anniversary' dessert."

  • "This was an awesome dining experience for my wife's birthday dinner. Would recommend to friends if money was no object. Detailed French fusion was really wonderful and service impeccable. Restaurant called twice leading up our reservation if you are in to that followup. I would go back for its intimacy environment but I still prefer Le Cirque still. 8.5 out of 10"

  • "My wife and started with hand crafted cocktails. Delicious and the bartender came over and discussed each component and his mixology philosophy. Great way to start the evening. We each had the 5 course tasting menu...simply stated, put yourself in their hands. Perfect presentation, preparation, and explanation of each course. I matched each course with the classic wines ( optional grand matching for $70 additional ). The selection was very creative and introduced me to wines from around the world that I had not been familiar with. After 5 courses the obligatory complimentary cookies and parting sweet.s Wonderful evening, never rushed, felt so welcome, and will be back next visit."

  • "The food and service were simply spectacular. We dined on a Tuesday night, arrived 15 mins late with no flack at all from the front (they were very gracious about it), and were seated next to a window (by our request) and treated to an awesome view of the Strip. Our server was knowledgeable and highly professional (she made some excellent recommendations), and the food was truly superb. We shared the summer appetizer (the rabbit saddle was amazing), and went for the loup de mer and chicken entrees. The fish was excellent, but that chicken--my God!! There was something about the flavors of the meat melding with the savory tomato ice cream that made it truly wonderful. We shared the biscuit succes for dessert--also excellent. Bravo!!"

  • "I was impressed from start to finish. We especially enjoyed the delectable surprises by the chef such as the tiny appetizers, palate cleansing dish and a small assortment of desserts. We ordered a cheese plate which was superb and the crostini's were absolutely delicious by themselves. Our ribeye was cooked to perfection as well. The wait staff was excellent and we will definitely recommend this hidden gem that is a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the hotels."

  • "Did the tasting menu with the classic wine pairing for a 930 reservation on a Sat night. Hostess was inviting, Catherine (our server) was attentive, caring, and professional. Amuse bouche was ok, rabbit saddle was really good, seabreem with the broccoli velouté was a star (fish had a quality enduring taste), and the wagyu beef was impressive. Dessert was ho hum - 2 of the 5 hit the mark (cheesecake mousseline and the cherry soup). Primary issues were: removed tableclothes from every table while we were still in the heart of our meal, sommelier decided to head out midway through service, and despite ample seating placed us (unbeknownst) near the server area. We dine at top places all the time -- save your money and head elsewhere."

  • "Had the four course tasting menu with the standard wine flight. Over 15 distinct "tastes" were served throughout the meal (not including the wine), and most every one was an amazing balance of flavors, aromas and textures. Hard to pick a favorite, but two stand out in my memory: the Mexican prawn with asparagus and pomegranate in a Meyer lemon reduction had flavors that exploded off the plate, and the lime/lemon/pistachio macaroon served at the end was sublime. Service was excellent - unobtrusive but always available as needed. A perfect spot for a romantic dinner -- the restaurant was probably 75% full when I arrived, but the noise level was very low, perfect for conversation. One of the best meals I've had, highly recommended."

  • "The team at TWIST continues to execute the best dining in Las Vegas...from exceptional cookery, thoughtful and precise service, and a luxe room worthy of the spectacular view...go flush and leave content. If your not hungry enough for the tasting menus, just order and first and main course and share a wonderful dessert. Will, sommelier exceptional will kindly guide you through the cellar. We look forward to our return!"

  • "Hard to describe the intensity of the food adventure that is Twist. Tasting menu with wine pairing is a must to truly appreciate the raw talent of Pierre and his team."

  • "The overall experience was very good. Service was outstanding. The dining room was very comfortable and romantic. The view is as good as they come in Las Vegas. The only disappointment was the food. Even though the food was good at this level it should be great or outstanding. I would love to go back based on the overall experience but it is tough to justify the cost based on the food not being up to par."

  • "This restaurant goes to the next level to treat their guests as graciously as they could. We were a group of 6 and treated like royalty. We were treated to the chef's small bites to begin, then chose our entrees in which the server was extremely helpful explaining certain flavor combinations. Then bread service and multiple rounds of water service to our extremely dehydrated group came with laughs shared by all. The entrees were presented all at one time and explained to make sure we all got exactly what we wanted. They even brought a special treat to the bachelorette in the group (put in a special note to the hostess and you are set!) and then treated to the chef's pastries of the evening at the end. Truly amazing!"

  • "This was a romantic get-away for me and and my wife from our toddler, and we were so disappointed. The food was ok, the service was fine, but when I'm paying $500 for dinner for two, I expect it to be outstanding. The highlight was the dessert sampler from the tasting menu. Next time we'll go back to L'Atelier (Joel Robuchon), we have always been pleased with our experiences there."

  • "Yes, TWIST lived up to what we were expecting having had it recommended by friends. The food is exciting and excellently prepared and delightfully served. The wine list includes high end Californian examples which is always good to see. The view is also good and the layout of the restaurant ensures that each table benefits from this attraction. I would go back with pleasure, all I would caution is that the quality of the food demands patience with respect to the time delay between courses."

  • "I have not had so much pleasure eating in a long time. The caviar service was Divine. The lobster and Sea Bas were phenomenal . The amuse Bouche and the treats from the chef were a delight and the chef's twist on the French macaroon was a perfect way to end the meal. The service was non pariel."

  • "We celebrated our anniversary at the Mandarin and decided to try the Twist. We had the tasting menu and it was excellent. Wine pairing in particular were well planned. The scallops melt in your mouth. Only issue was our table was right next to another. We could here their entire conversation and I'm sure they could hear our. Staff and wine steward were enthusiastic and knowledgeable."

  • "Wonderful restaurant with modern decor, outstanding service, fabulous wine list and a creative menu. This is a top restaurant experience that should be on everyone 's fine dining experience while in Las Vegas. "

  • "We opted for the tasting menu. Most dishes were not seasoned correctly. The scallop course was so salty we had to send it back. The presentation was inconsistent with not all the plates the same. The wagyu beef had no marbling, was tough and tasted like a bit of cheap sirloin. We were given five desserts. They varied from good to poor. Whilst we were there, there were only three tables occupied. On the plus side, the staff were welcoming and eager to please."

  • "Twist was by far, the best restaurant experience I've ever had. The food was dynamic, intriguing, and nothing short of incredible. The service was spectacular. Twist is an experience that you can not miss if you are visiting Vegas for a few hours or for a week. If you appreciate fine dining at an exceptional level, Twist is where your next Vegas dinner will be."

  • "Had the tasting menu with wine pairings. Had wine pairing with it which was excellent. My wife and I had two different levels of wine pairings (one more expensive than the other due to considered more premium wine with the more expensive one). Some of the wines on the lower pairing were better than the higher level per our tastes. An outstanding view from the table - even the bathrooms had a great view out to the strip. Overall an excellent dining experience and would highly recommend it."

  • "Took 9:30 reservation because that was only available. we arrived and they wanted to seat us (party of 2) at a six top by the kitchen...or a banquet seat at entrance.... WTF! We waited a bit more for decent window table that I spotted opening up. Order 4 course veggie meal at $85. delivered risotto instead of eggplant. also odered surf and turf with bernaise sauce. order arrived w bordelaise sauce. good wine list, well organized, but top of line prices for mid level Calif wines. Been there, done that and we won't be back. Price does not equal value."

  • "The first star is for the $600 bottle of champagne. It was worth the price. The second star is for our wait staff and sommalier who were both attentive and provided great service. Zero star for the food. Presentation was great, but the food was just ok. We were expecting extra-ordinary taste, but the "TWISTed" taste was just ordinary. We ordered Foie Gras 3-ways for appetizer, Rib Eye Steak and Maine Lobster for main course. All took forever to deliver to our table, and it was not even a packed restaurant. We felt bad for our wait staff who constantly had to explain and apologize for the late delivery of our food. We will most likely not return to this restaurant."

  • "Me and my wife went to Vegas as part of our honeymoon. We wanted to try a high level couisine and we found Twist restaurant after some researches. Our great expectations were met, since we experimented exquisite food and the place itself makes you feel you're living a different experience, that you could only live in the best restaurants in the world."

  • "Do not panic about the title, Twist does not bring its food from a nuclear plant but it does try hard to give a different twist (...) to the food that is found in just every other high-end restaurant in Vegas. This is good news, as I have a feeling that the food supply chain is quite limited in Vegas and it causes the menus of all restaurants to look similar. Chef Pierre Gagnaire is a pioneer of applying science to cooking, and it shows in his menus. In the plates you will find many little things that create taste oppositions to make your papils more exited, or ingredients presented in a different way, be it a gel, a mousse, or a sorbet. The location is perfect, and the restaurant itself is a real beauty. Great wine list too."

  • "As always, Chef Ryuki's take on Pierre Gagnaire's cuisine was perfect. Always innovative, always beautiful, and half the price of Joel Robuchon Twist remains the best restaurant in Las Vegas."

  • "Twist is yet another great place to eat at the Mandarin Oriental...we had the 3 course tasting menu; The food is wonderfully prepared and visually stunning; I don't think you can go wrong with either Twist or our favorite, MoZen at the amazing Mandarin--best place to stay and eat in Las Vegas; My one suggestion that might tic off a few folks is that the Mandarin is a wonderful romantic hotel---the expectations get set at a high level for just that--as in many places, kids can unintentionally ruin it for everyone; I wish they had a non-kid policy even if only at certain days/hours."

  • "Most people who have been to a Gagnaire restaurant have two strong reactions. The first is the price and the second is the very high quality food and service. Twist breaks the pattern. Compared to the Gagnaire restaurants in Paris, London and Seoul, the prices in Las Vegas are very moderate. The food, however, is almost as good. We had a delightful dinner there with two excellent fish main courses as well as extraordinary openers. The food is not quite at the level of his other places but it does continue his practice of mixing complex tastes in every dish. Very good. The wine list is strong and moderately priced. We will go again."
