"We had much higher expectations based upon reviews as well as our prior experiences with Vegas find dining extablishments. The prices were very high which one might expect for a very high end restaurant. For example, we had two martinis in the bar prior to being seated which set us back a mere $60.00 with tip.... One of us had the lobster which was pretty good and one of us had the Dorade fish which was coated in panko breadcrumbs and baked. There was esentially no flavor except that the fish smell/flavor was shall we say, very fishy. Two glasses of a very excellent French wine $28/ea with a good pour. Desert was clearly the highlight of the meal, it was excellent."

"I had the tasting menu, 6 courses with wine pairing
3 to 5 items per course.
Some excellent, some unusual
Nothing was bad, although nothing was exceptional either
The chief was showcasing a large variety of dishes that didn't necessarily
go together. There was no flow from course to course just let me show you more and more option.s Given the price my meals at Guy Savoy and Le Cirque were better and more memorable"

"Pierre Gagnaire may be the world's best chef! Imaginative beyond belief. We've eaten at his Paris restasurant three times, and at Twist in Las Vegas four times, and we continue to be astounded. The flavors that he combines defy description. For anyone who enjoys great food, Twist is a must-do."

"We are French and knew both P.Gagnaire's restaurant in Paris (the main one and the "casual" one)
If the ambiance and the service were good, we were disapointed by the food : no real originality nor sifnature , it could have been any food from a good Franch or American restaurant.
We went the day after to the Robuchon's Atelier and for the same (high) price a much bigger originality"

"Rating is based on restaurants of similar caliber. For each menu item, Chef put together 2-4 pairings of plates with wonderful flavor balance, but we found the overall portions large. Having two or at most three appetizers is more than adequate for a nice dining experience. We did find the protein in the entree surprisingly over cooked, but the sides were wonderful. We almost sent it back, but decided in the end against it since in general we tend to eat more vegetarian so it didn't matter except to make a statement which we found no need to do. Hence, the food rating of 3 stars because it might bother others. The overall rating would have been a four; however, they gave sugar packets with coffee rather then cubes (my pet peeve)."
