  • "Starting with the fresh oysters, the seafood chowder and then the special blackened fish and scallop dishes, the four of us were very impressed with the food quality and impeccable service at this restaurant!!"

  • "hostess - very accommodating, good communication bar experience: good bartenders; large, sociable crowd at 6 PM... attractive bar setting food - pricey Ceaser's salad appeared to have bottled dressing, a little annoyed that salad and appetizer served simultaneously, especially when I mentioned to waiter we weren't in a hurry; otherwise, service was good appetizer, the Ceviche was good flounder and lobster tail a little overcooked I'll try again, but not on a Saturday night... emphasis, pleasant crowd, pleasant restaurant staff, I felt very comfortable"

  • "The food was delicious, tuna/crab civiche, filet mignons, cocktails. The entrees are about $35/$40, apps about $15 & cocktails about $8. ($20 coupon, valpak). After dinner we headed to the bar where there was a band, bar was very crowded and lively. We found a sweet little table near the band and were having the best time, but then the hostess told us we couldn't sit there unless we were eating (there is no chance anyone could have sat there for dinner! way too noisy and crowded). We told her we had just eaten, but she made us move and it was a huge bummer. We were very disappointed. Of course, no one ended up eating there. So we ended up going down to the cellar (basement bar) and couldn't enjoy the band bc there was no room to stand/sit."

  • "This was our second time dining at Twenty9. We enjoyed our dining experience a lot the first time and were not disappointed on the second visit. The menu is varied and creative and the food well prepared with fairly generous portions. They have a decent selection of wines by the glass. Not extensive, but a few choices in a broad range of varietals. So you'll have no trouble finding something to accompany your meal if you don't want to order a bottle. On both occasions, our servers were friendly, courteous and attentive."

  • "Went to Twenty 9 with friends for dinner. Food was good with a nice presentation. Looks like the bar /restaurant has the potential to be a fun place. This particular evening it was quiet. Looks to have a nice outdoor dining area. We will return when the weather improves."

  • "Our waiter hardly talked to us, forgot important things like spoons when we ordered coffee and dessert (gelato), and did not check in on us at all. Our client had to ask for a water refill three times!! Ultimately, we finished our lunch but mainly talked about the bad service. I owned a restaurant and my colleague had been a waitress in her past life. Both of us were incredulous. Because it was pouring outside, we decided to have a drink at the bar. The bartender didn't welcome us, smile, or had any emotion. The whole experience left us wondering how a potentially nice restaurant could have missed the mark so badly!! We will not be returning. Our client works in the Great Valley Corporate Center and will probably not return."

  • "Took my girlfriend here for dinner on New Year's Eve for a romantic dinner as it was one of the few places left that had any room. It has an extremely large bar area and the bar was, of course, packed and very loud. The dining area in which we were seated was much smaller and quieter thankfully. At the beginning our waiter seemed almost brusque and a little annoyed at having to work New Year's Eve. Over the course of the evening he warmed up and became quite friendly. The food, according to my girlfriend, was excellent although I was not as overwhelmed. She is very hard to please when it comes to food as she is a chef in her own right. While everything was almost very good there were always these minor jarring notes that detracted."

  • "Twenty9 is conveniently located in a local Corporate Center with plenty of parking. While it is usually very busy and difficult to get a table we were lucky and it was a quieter night. The menu had many choices and something for everyone. While our dinner table was out on the enclosed Deck is was warm and nicely decorated. The bar area inside was large and a great place to meet up with friends before sitting down for dinner"

  • "Picked this restaurant through Open Table reviews and I was not disappointed. The food was very good and prepared as ordered. The wait staff was attentive and very professional. We were seated on porch, which was also recommended, with a nice view and quiet surroundings for having a conversation. I would recommend this restaurant and would definitely return in the future."

  • "I was on OpenTable looking for a restaurant we had not been to for Valentine's day. The menu looked inviting, so I booked it. What a great find. I had the best steak I have eaten in years. My wife has an allergy to certain seafood. She wanted to order the Salmon dish, but it had crab in the sauce. They offered to change the dish to accommodate her, and she enjoyed it a lot. Our server Chrissy, was excellent. Great attitude, very attentive. We enjoyed our experience so much, we went back this Sunday after Church. Another great experience."

  • "Before dining, I read through the reviews on various websites. Some were good and some were bad. Most of the bad complained about slow and inattentive service. My group of six was dining to celebrate a birthday, so, needless to say, I kept a keen eye on the service. But, it turned out everything was fantastic. The food was beyond delicious and the chef also proved his expertise when he turned down one of our orders because he didn't like the way the meat looked. Of course that's disappointing, but we appreciated his precaution. We couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. We drove an hour to eat at Twenty 9 it was well worth it! We will go back for more!"

  • "We went there with another couple for dinner on a Friday night. The food was very very good. The service - while functional - just seemed a a bit rushed and hectic - needed to be a bit more personal. A little expensive as well."

  • "Food was good but for the price we would have gone to an upscale restaurant. My Filet was $45. For that price I would have prefered Ruths Chris or Capital Grille."

  • "We dined here for Valentine's Day like 1,000,000 other folks. The place was very packed. It seemed like Twenty9’s strategy was to add more tables and serve more patrons at once. The positive result was an energetic experience. Folks appeared to be happy. Yet, the downside was that we had to wait a while for service, and dodge rushing servers. It was a little uncomfortable, and would have been fine if we desired a coffee shop feel. The floor vibrated the entire time due to the music downstairs, and the menu was a tad bit overpriced. Nevertheless, we chose to dine at Twenty9. Our food was delicious and my girlfriend got a rose from who we think was the manager. Not sure if we’ll return. If we do, it will be on a much slower night."

  • "We went for their advertised romantic Valentine's dinner, we sat at 7 and ordered from an special menu. We ordered an appetizer that was actually very good (mushroom flatbread), drinks and our main entree. The drinks and appetizer were they within 5 min and the main course within another five. Obviously, the food was pre-made and just sitting in the back waiting to be ordered. The salmon was way over cooked, another sign it wasn't freshly made; it was par cooked. Needless to say we were seated, ordered and ate two courses less than 30 min. Not romantic to say the least; and no right charging $48 for an over cooked piece of steak!! We will not return!!"

  • "There are two sections to this restaurant - the bar area, which can get noisy, and a quieter, fancier section in the back area. We sat in the back area. It can get noisy if there are large parties there since it is a small area, but overall the atmosphere seems to suggest an intimate dining experience. Food was delicious and varied. Portions sizes were good. Prices seemed a little high, but not too extravagant. Wish they had more specials to offer, though. When we were there, they only had one special. We would definitely return and maybe try the more casual, bar side the next time."

  • "Dinner was actually delicious the problem was are waiter. He was a older gentlemen very soft spoken could not even here the special because he spoke so low. On the nite we went it was very empty maybe three other table in the place and other servers too. We order drinks and got our appetizers before our drink our food runner had to remind him to put our drink order in. The best part came when he brought us our check on our copy only at the bottom he wrote "suggestive tip 18% " which was quit tacky I was really taken back by that I generally tip at least 20% but he got what he asked for 18% his loss. would definitely go back just would not want him as our server again"

  • "On this repeat visit to Twenty9, I chose the fantastic steak dish my husband had last time, and once again it was winner. Husband, however, decided to try something different and went for the spaghetti and clams. When his dish arrived, I immediately reached over to steal a clam (as you do), and found it delicious but a little on the spicy side. As my husband tried to eat his meal, he kept complaining how spicy it was and I thought he might have been acting over dramatic. We asked our server for some Alfredo sauce to try to kill the heat with a little dairy - after this addition, I tasted it and realized Husband was not overreacting - we're talking 4 out of five chiles on the Thai menu hot. Will be back but not for that dish!"

  • "For a quiet dinner be sure to get a table in the back room, it's separate from the bar area and has a much more upscale feeling, and there's a nice view out the back windows from most seats there. The seafood we got was excellent, as were the salad and dessert. I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

  • "My husband & I were very happy with our experience at Twenty9. We went on a Monday so that we could take advantage of the bring your own wine night, which is allowed on Sunday and Monday evenings. The savings on the drinks allowed us to enjoy the wonderful food menu, which is priced in the higher range. We had the steak egg rolls as appetizer and they were delicious. For entrees we had the divers scallops and pasta bolognese, both were outstanding. The service was great, waiter did not rush us and food arrived hot and fresh. Definitely will go back."

  • "We have been here several times and always, the food is outstanding!! Had both seafood and steaks; always cooked to perfection. The scallops dish is great. Had the shrimp and mahi-mahi dish this last time and it was great. Seasoned just right and the fish was not overcooked and dry. Very tasty. Have had steaks before and again, cooked perfectly and tasted great. Had the steak topped with crab meat and WOW!! Our last visit, the waiter completely forgot our order for the appetizer, so we really surprised and very disappointed with that, but this is the first time we have had that problem."

  • "Twenty 9 is in the enter of a corporate center. the business crowd was animated and loud. the alternate dining area was cold so we took a table I the central area adjacent to the bar. a better choice than keeping our coats on. the food was OK. don 't order the wedge salad; it is too ordinary even with boston lettuce."

  • "Went on a Friday night when a 5-6 piece band was crammed into a corner of the bar. Music started waaay too early (8:40ish) and came screaming into the back dining area whenever someone opened the connecting door, which was every 8 seconds. The waitress explained that the downstairs room, where bands usually play on Friday nights, was booked for a private party. So you simply wedge them into the bar upstairs? The noise was deafening. Add to that the icy parking lot where NO EFFORT WAS MADE TO SALT OR BRINE. My wife and I had to walk on a skating rink to get to our car. Can you say, LIABILITY? Somebody'd better put their thinking cap on. The high price of the food didn't match up with the experience. Word of mouth is going out. See ya.."

  • "I have been before and that is why I returned. It was my girl friend's birthday and her children and I went for dinner. We were on the enclosed porch. It was plenty warm there. The service and food were great. I was somewhat disappointed as I remember the food to be superb, not just good. Service was fine and the facility was great. I'd go again. Next time I'll order the filet or braised ribs. They are ALWAYS EXCELLENT. It was a great celebration and we had a lovely evening."
