Everyone was very friendly and greatly accommodating even though they were looking at crowds the night we were there due to graduation at the Kohl Center. They had several specials at the bar and on the menu as well! Had a wonderful time! Our table was pretty cramped but it was fine. The pasta I ordered wasn't the best but I shared part of my friends, which was amazing! I was glad that it was a little loud in there seeing we were in a group. If you have a larger group it looked like they had a few special rooms (so that may have been better). This State Street trattoria was voted best Date Night joint in 2012, and usually it's full of college students, about half of them couples. By college student standards it's ritzy, but it's actually casual and homey compared to more upscale suburban restaurants.
