A word from Triumph Grill
Welcome to Triumph Grill. Our goal is to introduce you to a place that is imaginative and enjoyable, delicious and creative, attentive and fun. But we also hope to celebrate the Triumph of human endeavors, be they sportsman, artist or entrepreneur.
In the context of the motorcycle, we demonstrate all of these qualities. Each of our dining rooms presents one of these aspects through its design and memorabilia collected from around the world. Thank you for spending time with us and we hope to see you again.

Diner Reviews
  • "We ordered the mussels as an appetizer, and there were a couple of closed ones in the bowl that should have been removed before serving. The sourdough bread was delicious but completely overpowered the sauce from the mussels. I ordered the half chicken, which had a great crisp to the skin where it wasn't made mushy by the marinara sauce spooned over it. The mashed potatoes were delicious. The Brussels sprouts were a little too crunchy for my taste. Overall the place has a good atmosphere and decent service. I just wish the food were better."

  • "The menu is varied, and a meal can be made from appetizers, salads, main dishes, or a combination of these. The food is nicely prepared, and the portions are large. Service is prompt, but the restaurant can get frantic when the dining room fills up. The large bar adjacent can be used for meals as well. Triumph Grill is a welcome addition to midtown, where there are not many restaurants suitable for pre-theater dining."

  • "We have been several times and have never been disappointed. Both the food and service are outstanding. Neither one of us are into motorcycles, but have also enjoyed that motif and going through the motorcycle gallery. We've told others about the Grill; and they like us have enjoyed their visit. We'll be back!"

  • "We made our reservation the day before we had dinner there on a Friday night so were expecting to get a less than perfect table. We were seated at a hightop along the main aisle going into the restaurant and it took quite a while to get our food, not enough to complain about but don't expect a quick turn around. I had the flatiron steak, very good but highly salted, and my husband enjoyed his fish and chips. The restaurant is a quick five minute walk to the Fox so we will definitely eat there again."

  • "After 10 min had to ask the host to find our waiter. Finally showed up to take our order. Someone else served our appetizer and dinner. We had to clear our own table of dirty dishes from the appetizers. Then had to go to the bar to ask for more water. Waiter didn't show up again until we were almost finished with our meal. Food was very good but I doubt we will be back anytime soon"

  • "My second visit to Triump and have to say it was good. Went on a cold, wet tuesday so it was very dead with maybe 6 tables and no one at the bar. The Tuna Tacos were an appetiser but they were huge and more like a meal. I had a great shrimp and crab risotto which was creamy and delicious. I would have to say I will be back."

  • "We were at the restaurant around 5:30 and ordered the calamari and onion rings for starters. Both were not hot and the calamari was rubbery. We ordered fish tacos, a burger, and the bar b cue pork. The fish tacos were cold and dry and the hamburger was dry. The bar b cue was ok. The waiter was friendly but when he asked if I wanted to take my fish tacos home and I expressed that I didn't like them, he made no effort to see what the problem was. I am not a picky eater and usually try to go with the flow and not complain. . But this food was just plain bad."

  • "Always great food, service and atmosphere. The moto theme / artwork with the motorcycle dealership and museum is great. A reliable evening out that never disappoints. We try to make it once or twice a month and strongly recommend it to friends. Melissa took very good care of us. Thanks!"

  • "The food at triumph Grill was awesome. We have been there before and have never had a bad meal. I had plenty of pasta left for the next day and everyone had a great meal. The mojitos were awesome too!"

  • "This is very close to the Fox theater, which is why we went there. The atmosphere is great--love the look. The food was just OK. I had fish tacos--the guacamole sauce must have come from very ripe avacados, so it was a little off. Our friend's salad was made of all iceberg lettuce and the lobster (or whatever fish was used) was pretty sparse. Beer and wine were fine. Our waiter was attentive, but he wasn't making the dishes.....so probably won't go back real soon."

  • "We made reservation for lunch on Saturday before attending concert at the Fox. We pretty much were the first customers and all the people we encountered were more than welcoming. The food was upscale and flavorful. Even my husband, who is basically a burger and fry man loved his entree. Prices were reasonable. Bartender & waitress friendly and professional. The only disappoint was the Motomuseum was closed for a wedding reception!"

  • "I can't imagine going to Saturday matinee at the Fox without my favorite lunch at Triumph!! I take a different guest each time, and they all love the food, the setting, and the entire luncheon experience!!"

  • "Been here a number of times. Will return - based completely on previous visits. Fish taco was cold. Service was OK, but not as we had previously experienced. Had this been our first visit, it would have been our only."

  • "Food was good, certainly better than average, but somewhat overpriced for the end result. The service was a bit rushed. Considering the fact we made a reservation, I was disappointed about the location we we put, near the kitchen door."

  • "We had a party of 6 people and were served promptly, but the food was good for some selections but not all. The salads were good, but the steak that was ordered was served rare, but it was ordered medium well, so had to be sent back."

  • "Capers, disappointed with beet spinach salad; beets were cube tiny shape; salad was to come with glazed nuts none were included in your salad. When I asked our servicer about this she hesitated then said they were out of nuts."

  • "Had not been at Triumph Grill in some time and gald we went back. Food was very good....variety and portions. Server may not have been the best. Either he did not listen or the bartender did not listen to him. Regardless, the food was good, atmosphere good and had a great dinner before The Fox. Would come back and try other items on the menu."

  • "Attending many shows at the Fox Theater, I have usually made reservations at the Kota Wood Fire Grill. I have dined at the Triumph previously and since the Kota is temporarily close, I returned to the Triumph. The food is well prepared and the service is excellent. I would recommend the Triumph to anyone who is dining before a show at the Fox."

  • "Good Food, great service just let your server know if you are going to a Fo show and they can get your food out quick and your bill! Enjoy the atmosphere here wished the food was a bit more, I havent fallen in love with a dish yet after only 2 visits,,,I will try again. Salmon was good , fish tacos weer marginally at best. Drinks are usually perfect!"

  • "It was ok. We were overcharged, had to ask for things several times. Needed to get to Fox for event and we were there 2 hours before."

  • "I have been here a couple of times for lunch, but I really enjoy heading to Triumph Grill before events at Chaiftz Arena. We were just in time for Happy Hour specials before attending a Billikens game. Food and service are excellent! You can't go wrong here."

  • "The ambiance is good, the people where friendly, but the food was horrible. Perhaps if you are looking for hamburgers and fries this could be a location, but based on my experience I doubt they could top the quality of McDonnell's."

  • "We had the buffalo chicken salad and the soft shell crab sandwich. The salad looked like a school lunch version of a salad and tasted like that as well. You have taken our favorite salad off the menu - the salad with shrimp, black beans, lettuce and other items. It was excellent. We haven't found a salad as good on your menu since. The soft shell crab was cooked properly but had no flavor. Normally some hot spice is added to the batter for soft shell. Plus, your cole slaw was almost tasteless. We have been to the restaurant many times since it opened but in the past year or so the food has seemed "dumbed down" from our previous impression so we have greatly reduced our visits."

  • "The food was "okay" but nothing special or outstanding. Ordered the fish and chips of which the fish was very salty and really not that great even though the waitress recommended this dish. They take reservations which makes it a good place to dine before going to the Fox Theater."

  • "Relaxed setting to meet friends. Variety of selections. The St. LOUIS sweetie salad was delicious. Fish tacos were a hit with others. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Short walk to Fox Theatre!"

  • "What a wonderful atmosphere. From the time I walked it you felt like this is a special place. Food was awesome, service terrific, couldn't have asked for more! Great place to go before the Fox. Easy to make reservations online."

  • "Have been to Triumph Grill before as it is convenient for SLU basketball games. The food never disappoints but the price of their cocktails is inflated. A well drink is $6.50 and a glass of wine $9.00. Other than the price of cocktails the overall experience has always been good, never a delay with our reservations and service attentive even when the place is full."

  • "For the past several years, prior to heading to the Fox Theatre, I've split meals between the Triumph Grill and Kota Grill. (Not sure why the later is now closed.) The food is always excellent and atmosphere is vibrant. Service is very good but there have been occasional weekend nights when too many local events overwhelmed - to be expected - but this has never impacted my decision to dine here. I'm passionate about the Creole Shrimp Penne but recommend the BBQ, fish tacos, chicken - it's all good! The stuffed mushrooms and onion rings are great apps. My only negative is the dinner salad is on the small side. Otherwise, what else can I say except that I enjoy my time at the Triumph Grill and wish I was in the area more often to dine here."

  • "We were running late because of traffic but when we arrived we were seated immediately. Because we were attending a show in a little over an hour, our server expedited our order. Our selections were served hot and the food was outstanding. I would recommend the Triumph Grill to anyone looking for a good restaurant."

  • "Our party of four was seated in the adjoining Cafe Pinxtos, where it was peaceful, and quiet so that we could enjoy a nice conversation without shouting. It was great, and the service was good. The only problem is the somewhat limited menu. Triumph is now one of the few remaining restaurants in Grand Center where you can make reservations, and we get tired of going their before every Fox Theatre and Billiken event."

  • "The food was good and reasonably priced, but the wine selection is limited and over-priced."

  • "Our waiter was rather rude. My group and I felt rushed through our dining experience. I would have stayed for another drink, but I had the feeling that our waiter wanted us to leave in order to shuffle more individuals through the restaurant. The food was OK. The salads are WAY TOO BIG. I will try Triumph again due to its convenient location next to Chaifetz arena and the Fox theater. Hopefully, I will receive a warmer welcome."

  • "The restaurant looked nice however we didn't get to sit in the restaurant. They sat us in the adjacent hotel's breakfast area. It was extremely uncomfortable. We sat at a bar facing the lobby of the hotel so everyone could watch us eat. Our server was overwhelmed. It took 30 minutes just to get a beer. Our appetizer was cold. The actual dinner food was good which is the only reason I would consider going again. The fact that reservations were made for this trip is why it bothered my group that we were put in an "overflow" area. I have to say that at this time I cannot recommend this restaurant. Perhaps after I try it again."

  • "Triumph Grill is a great place to eat before going to see a show at the Fox or before a game or concert at Chaifetz Arena. Park in a metered spot on street in front of Triumph, eat dinner, then walk to the Fox or to the Arena. My husband and I have been here a few times and our most recent time was dinner before the Lady Antebellum concert. There were a lot of couples and the environment wasn't as noisy as when there is a big game on TV with lots of people at the bar. The service was quick (in and out in an hour and fifteen minutes) and food and drink selections were good. Avoid anything with BBQ sauce, though, unless you like the taste of salt. My daughter and I had BBQ selections one time and they were extremely salty."

  • "The stuffed mushroom app was really good. My husband had the roasted chicken and even though it had a sauce, he found it to be very bland and the mashed potatoes looked grey. His brussel sprouts were tasty. I had the blackened tilapia sandwich - it tasted fishy, which is not right for tilapia and also was not seasoned very well. The BBQ chips were delish. Great location because it's down the street from the Fox, but food was overall just average."

  • "Since the closing of Koti Grll, Triumph is the closest "nice" restaurant to the Fox theatre. Plenty of great seats and good bar list. After going every month with couples, girlfriends and even kids, we have decided that the variety in the menu is what hurtsTriumph. They are not able to make a "great" meal. Time after time, the quotes are ,"ok" and "fine". Stick to their appetizers, but stay away from the mussels and Salmon flatbread. The first being bland and the salmon dried out and hard to eat. The fries are actually very good and although super greasy; burgers are not bad. We will continue to go as it allows us to park early, but eagerly await something to open in Kota's spot."
