Diner Reviews
  • "We dine at Trio regularly and are never disappointed. The entrees are unique and expertly prepared and presented and the pizzas are innovative and delicious. The atmosphere is modern but friendly as are the chefs and staff. We always come home happy and satisfied, with both our meals and our nights out at Trio."

  • "Totally enjoyed the dining experience…food, staff, ambience. The scallop dish was one of the best I've ever had. Will return more often."

  • "We brought out of town guests to Trio (one of our favorite restaurants in town) and everyone was able to find something delicious on the menu - an excellent fish dish for the vegetarian, and they were very accommodating for the 12 year old who wanted something "not foodie" - they created regular kid friendly toppings for their delicious flatbread pizzas and he was quite happy. My duck was outstanding, delicate and juicy, and the sauces just right, not too overbearing."

  • "The menu is too limited so I really don't see what the big deal about Trio is. The service is rushed. My boyfriend ordered a salad and his pizza came along with our friend's entree pretty quick and the salad was not brought out until we reminded them. They just want to get you in and out. I had the mussels appetizers and the meat in the mussels was practically non-existent. The chef should see this and simply not serve such poor quality shellfish. I'm a local and I'll go elsewhere in the future."

  • "Since opening (and reopening after a devastating fire), Trio has been a JH Standard. Food is always great, servers always professional, knowledgable and friendly. I particularly like the fact that you can combine starters for a lighter, lower cost meal or have a traditional two or three course for a more formal/hungry occasion. Ambiance is on the noisy side but not excessive. Overall, one of the great Jackson dining venues."

  • "Trio may be the best restaurant in Jackson Hole. The menu is interesting and the food is outstanding. Wait staff very good wine list, while not extensive, had more than enough variety. Our group had elk chop, scallops, buffalo short rib special, and strip steak. All were outstanding. The elk chop was amazing, the best I have had anywhere and we dine out a lot. Soups were excellent also. This restaurant is a definite must in Jackson"

  • "My impression of restaurant begins with how professionally the staff works through the formalities of getting drinks ordered. Not just what is offered but inside knowledge of what is tasting good in different budgets. Our waiter was a master at this; he directed us to a delicious meritage and we were tucked into our table for what proved to be memorable service, food and wine. The wine he chose was a 2009 Urlari Pervale rarely does a resort restaurant offer good red wine at such a great price!"

  • "Lively and full on a Saturday night. A few seats at the bar for those without reservations. Waffle fries with blue cheese sauce always a hit. Ribeye special was enough for two. Scallops expertly prepared, and the shrimp risotto tasty. the carrot cake for dessert was a highlight, but the apple pie was mediocre. Nice wine list (the Abadia Retuerta Temperanillo was super, although the sludge at the bottom of the glass was a little disappointing). Service is attentive but not annoyingly so. We come here a lot, and will be back often. The only down side is the restaurant is on the noisy side and hard to have a decent conversation."

  • "When we visited Jackson, reviews and local advice were nearly unanimous in their thumbs up for Trio. The service was very good. The food was good, but not memorable. Caeser salad was lackluster, although beet salad was very good. Wine list was pricey. We ate at Local as well and enjoyed that more. Would go back to Local before returning to Trio."

  • "In the past Trio has been our favorite restaurant in Jackson hole. This time however we had a difficult time finding something on the menu and the food was not up to their usual standards. We might try them again but maybe not"

  • "This used to be one of my favorite restaurants but a couple of bad back to back dining experiences left me underwhelmed and disappointed. I decided to give it another try and I must say everything was outstanding. The food and service was delicious and the dessert heavenly. It has rejoined its spot as one of my favorites."

  • "Creative food, nicely presented but veal entree ( $28:00) was on the skimpy side. A side dish of sauteed spinach ( add $6:00 ) would have been a nice addition. The wood fired thin pizza and salad was perfect. Very good service."

  • "This restaurant is one of the best-kept secrets of the valley. The food is spectacular, and the service is very good. They have great specials, and their faire ranges from expensive steaks to reasonable burgers and pizzas. The beverage selections are tasty, and the atmosphere is vibrant. The restaurant is very small, so make sure you make reservations early, especially during busy periods. This place is great!"

  • "A wonderful dining experience, from the greeting at the door until I walked back out. I dined at the bar and was impressed by the chefs and how they worked together. The staff was warm and friendly and had great suggestions. I chose the waygu steak which was expertly prepared. Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I can't wait to go back again."

  • "Two of us had the sea bream which was perfectly cooked - amazing spices and flavor. Mushroom soup was silky beautiful. Creme Brûlée and knock out Chocolate Peanut Butter cake...wow!!!Ambiance is lovely. The waitstaff is always on top of it. You always feel you're cared for. Best restaurant in Jackson Hole!!"

  • "Great meal as always but very disappointed that the pork chop was removed from the menu. That item needs to be put back on! No other pork chop in town compares."

  • "This is a wonderful place to go with great food. We split an elk chop with figs and mushroom ragout which was superb. Definitely get the bison starter. I found the wine list pricey with some wines priced double what we have seen in other restaurants."

  • "This was our 2nd dining experience at the Trio. Food is great and service is outstanding. Our waitress was Megan is outstanding and made the dining fantastic. We will definitely be back in the future to Trio and we will request Megan as she has taken care of us on both dining experiences. I would hope that Mgmt. would let her know how valuable she is to their restaurant."

  • "The food is always delicious and the service is excellent! I have spent the last several New Year Eve's at this restaurant and am never disappointed. By far the most innovative and exciting menu for sure in this town. Always recommend to anyone who asks."

  • "Had a great meal at Christmas Eve here. Service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Menu selection and quality was very good. Noise level of restaurant was fine. Wine list was good and waiter gave us a good recommnedation on a bottel. Overall very nice experience."

  • "Trio seems to be on everyone's list of Jackson Hole recommended restaurants. It was a great find for us and we will be back. Medium sized renovated space with casual feel. Seasonal menu had just changed and so many appealing choices. Inventive daily special lets the chef flex his creativity. Attentive service and helpful recommendations. Ordered one of the recommended fish dishes but will try something different next time. Walk in for the bar but reservations needed for tables. Noise level can affect how loud you have to talk at the table - if college age kids notice the noise - it's loud!."

  • "I'm never disappointed when I go to Trio. Many restaurants in Jackson can be really good one night and not so good the next. I don't go to Trio very often (4-6 times a year) but every time I go I have a great experience. The food and service are consistently top notch. Keep doing what your doing...and thanks."

  • "Trio is a staple in Jackson, WY. It has a menu that suits so many needs - although it is pricier than a standard restaurant, it isn't much more and the value in the food is there. They offer a great product, wonderful variety and a range from fire baked pizzas to steaks to seafood to lovely salads. And don't forget the blue cheese waffle fries!"

  • "My husband and I were in Jackson for our first anniversary and chose Trio for our anniversary dinner. Our one disappointment that evening was that everything was outstandingly delicious and we didn't have room for dessert. So we had dinner there our last night too. We made it to dessert the second time and were completely delighted with the s'mores concoction we chose! :) we want to make Trio an annual tradition. It's worth it. Also: don't miss the waffle fries w blue cheese fondue dip. Amazing."

  • "We met friends there last week and all had burgers and martinis - they were perfectly cooked and the drinks were excellent. We all had arugula salads so we were pretty unadventurous and it is important to note that there are so many other things on the menu. We'll be back to try more. The pizzas look delicious and I saw a boulliabase that looked good too! We had a very friendly waiter."

  • "We dined at Trio this past week, and were wowed by the food, service and overall experience. Having enjoyed many terrific meals in Jackson Hole, our expectations were high! We were not disappointed - Trio may in fact be our new top spot. Everything was excellent, from our interactions with the waitstaff to the incredible food to the fun "wheel spin" at the end of the evening. Suffice to say that we will most certainly be back again!"

  • "I took my friend who is visiting jackson to Trio and we both thought our meals were as delish, and as well-presented as we'd ever experienced. The blending of ingredients is always so innovative and the servers so warm and accommodating: our server resolved all of our requests to modify the menu, with a huge smile."
