A word from Tria Restaurant, Bar & Event Center
Warm. Fresh. Real. Everything at Tria... from the seasonal, made-from-scratch, fresh food, friendly service to the warm and inviting ambience was designed to deliver these three simple qualities. From the moment you enter, it is apparent that Tria is not your ordinary restaurant. The natural woods and stone, wood-burning fireplaces, art and accessories all depict Tria's commitment to creating a delightful dining experience for their guests, offering something for everyone. The menu is fresh regional American and the extensive wine list was created to provide both selection and value (finally a restaurant that provides both!). Recognized as one of the "Twin Cities Best New Restaurants" by Mpls/St.Paul Magazine, the list of accolades continues to grow. You might say that Tria, like their wine, gets better with age. So if you're looking for a night out with someone special, dinner with the family, entertaining clients, or simply enjoying a quick bite with friends, come visit Tria!Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "We always enjoy going to Tria for a place for good conversation and also for a romantic evening. The place is not too loud like most of the places that we go to. The decor gives a home-like feeling and the service is almost always excellent."

  • "Excellent service for our Anniversary! We return each year because of the outstanding service, food, and ambience! The people are what make this restaurant an excellent destination for any occasion, from casual to formal dining."

  • "We recently dined at Tria celebrating a birthday. We had Kelli as our server and she was one of the best servers we have ever had! The food was also very good."

  • "Tria is an excellent choice for a small to larger group. the Food is always excellent. the Wine list has great options at varied price points. It is close to where I work. It is a great place to take clients and vendors without driving into the city."

  • "Went there for a birthday and was surprised by their wine and desert special. We hadn't been to Tria for a couple of years and felt it was better than previously. All of the food served was very good. Wine selection is extensive. Ambience was good and they let us take all the time we wanted for each course. I would highly recommend for a special yet comfortable dinner."

  • "I took my Mom here for her birthday and they made it very special. You get a free bottle of wine for your birthday(within three days). The older you are the better, you can get one for the same price as your age or less. The wine was great, the food fantastic and the service was very good. My Mom also got a free dessert, it doesn't get much better than this. I had Tuna and my Mom had a steak! Both meals were perfect. It's a nice cozy neighborhood restaurant, but worth the drive if you are not close."

  • "Our friends and my wife and I went to Tria for dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday and our collective anniversaries. We both have been married 25 years. We made the reservation last minute because we could not decide on a place to eat. My wife had been here before but I had only been to the bar and our friends had not been there before. As a side note my friend went to culinary school and is a classical trained chef, although she does not cook professionally anymore. Hands down the best meals we have ever had at a restaurant. From the succulent and tender calamari to each entry, Tria blew us away."

  • "Classic cuisine done perfectly. I had the Tournedos which is a beef tenderloin, and the boursin mash potatoes are outstanding. We are repeat customers and plan to go back on again. The food is just so well prepared."

  • "Visited for a Sunday Brunch with another couple. The complex is very nice. We were not sure until we left what all the similar designed buildings nearby were (Senior Living Community). Restraunt is set up very well, with a top quality feel everywhere. It was not overly growded the day we were there, which made it easy to talk. The ladies both ordered a flattened/seasoned chicken dish with Rissoto (sp ?). Very tasty, but both wished the portion on the Rissoto were a little larger. The other two dishes were Signature dishes.......Waffle, and Chicken Pot Pie. Mt Chicken Pot Pie was very tasty.....one of the top 3 I have had. I'll bet dinner is worth a trip as well."

  • "Our first time to Tria - Great experience. Tremendous food, vast selection, terrific atmosphere. Best of all, very accommodating. Server did an excellent job of managing pace of meal to match our desire. We were there for couples night out and enjoyed the evening sans kids! Outstanding Restaurant without having to go downtown!"

  • "Loved the free bottle of wine and the free dessert that came with my birthday dinner! Our server was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely (the wood-burning fireplace near our table was a nice touch that made the room feel cozy). We also appreciated that Tria was not as noisy as so many other places seem to be lately; it was easy to carry on a conversation without having to shout across the table."

  • "First time there on weekend--very busy Sat. but service for most part responsive. Could converse even with center table and lots of people talking around us, which surprised me. Would have opted for quiet table had there been any available, but this worked!"

  • "Went to dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. My wife ordered beef touranados med-rare which we had before and enjoyed. This time however the tornados were no more than 2 slices of cheap London broil cooked well done and topped with a handful of overcooked shriveled mushrooms and no sauce. On the side was a small scoup of dry salty mashed potatoes. That was all that was served with the meal, no veggi, no garnish, and very poor presentation. We ordered wine which if your birthday they offer a free bottle the price of your age. When ordering the wine we mentioned the birthday promo and the waitress took away the regular wine menu and gave us a different menu for the birthday wines filled with overpriced cheap wine."

  • "What a treat from the minute we walked in. We were greeted with a warm welcome and did not feel rushed to get to our table. We had a 6:00 reservation and got there 15 min early. Our table was ready but we were able start our dinning experience in the bar with a cocktail and an appetizer. We felt no pressure to rush and got to our table 10 minutes after 6:00. The food was great, good presentation too. We were able to enjoy all of it, especially the birthday club wine. Thank you to the the entire TRIA staff -"

  • "We've been dining at Tria somewhat regularly for the past 9 years. The food is decent and it's in our neighborhood. One big draw for us has been the Birthday wine special where during the week of your birthday you may receive your age in dollars off of a bottle of wine IF you purchase two overpriced entrees. On our recent visit to celebrate my husband's birthday we were rudely told by our waitress that there is now a special winelist for this special and we were only allowed to order from that list. There wasn't one wine on this new list that was also on the regular list-- the birthday winelist contains a bunch of cheap wines that Tria has marked up. Tria is overpriced and there are MANY better restaurants in this price range."

  • "Tria has been a favorite spot for me for several years. This year, I was disappointed. The Birthday Wine Special is limited to a specified list of wines which were priced high and the choices were limited. We had a $64 bottle of Cabernet that I would never order again- it tasted like a bargain wine. Last year I upgraded to a bottle of J Cab which was fantastic. I was looking forward to a similar experience. The menu has changed. I love scallops and ordered them for my birthday dinner. They were covered in an "Apple BBQ" sauce that I found overpowering to the delicate scallop flavor. The dish also included pulled pork? My son's order was wrong twice- once with something he did not order, then with an addition (fois Gras) he did not order."

  • "My Girlfriend and I and a couple other friends enjoyed our dinner.... She had the duck confit...very good...and I am not a duck person.......the other lady had the meatloaf and it was fabulous.....I had the veal marsala...it was good.... but could have been better if the veal had been slightly battered.....the potatoes were fantastic...my friend had the scallops and they looked fabulous and he said the taste was excellent also...It was my GF's b/day and she got a free bottle of wine ... which was very good...and even tho I am not a wine person...it also was very good...it was a $72 bottle...."

  • "My Husband and I went for His birthday. the place was humming, and it sounded like people were really having a good time. The food is good but no memorable. The menu has not changed in a few years. Quality good and service was also good. The thing that I noted as I sat there was that people all around were having a great time. That says a lot to me."

  • "Seated next to a real fireplace things just continued to be delightful. Great wine, food and service. A mature, experienced staff was in place and the results were obvious. Very nice experience. Our group enjoyed steak, pasta, lamb and house specials; all were excellent. Looking forward to future visits."

  • "My group was celebrating a very special birthday of a friend who has just passed away. We were treated at Tria so special that two of my friends loved the restaurant and will be bringing their husband and friends. Our wait staff, Sara, was so kind and gave us so much attention. We all loved her. We were there for brunch. I had the pulled pork benedict which was delicious. The other 3 raved about their meals. So, all in all, we had a great time which meant a lot because we were all grieving for our friend."

  • "We go here for girl's night out. Our Waiter Casey was awesome, food was served hot and he handled the group all arriving at slightly different times. We were late for our reservation due to bad weather/traffic, but he took it all in stride."

  • "We were seated by the lovely wood fireplece, but found it a bit smokey for my wife's asthma. We were immediately moved to a very nice table with a view of the snow covered patio. Our waiter, Raymond, was very knowledgeable of the menu items and wine list. He was friendly yet perfessional as he attended to our needs. Our steaks were prepared perfectly and melted in our mouths. My wife cannot leave Tria without enjoying her favorite dessert, chomeur pudding. It is well worth the sixty mile drive for us to eat at Tria, and we will be returning soon."

  • "For being such an expensive restaurant the food was very poor quality. The crabcakes were over cooked the scallops were very undersized. The ceasar salad had to much pepper. The breadstick accompanying it was extremely hard. The mac and cheese was not very good. Would never go back!"

  • "We were there to celebrate an anniversary. It was rather romantic but the food was awful.. They were not busy so they could have done so much better. The food looked like it was just plopped on the plate and given to us. We were very disappointed. The price of the food was just outrageous for what we got."
    Dined on 2/26/2014
  • "We really appreciate the opportunity to receive a bottle of wine that is the value of the birthday person's age within a week of her/his birthday. We also appreciated the 6 oz. steak filet with frites and a side of mushrooms. Great food and a great server! We have had John a number of times as our server and he continues to do an excellent job!"

  • "We are regular diners at Tria and noticed some changes in the menu, wine list, and staff on our last visit. All of the changes were great! It is one of our favorite places to eat."

  • "Good food and service, but it's across town for us so probably won't go again on a dark winter night. It was hard to decide because so many things on the menu looked good. Selected a spinach salad and the top sirloin with acorn squash risotto this time and wasn't disappointed."
    Dined on 2/18/2014
  • "I enjoyed my experience except when the bill was paid. Our waitress took the bill with our payment and tip and said should she would be back with our change. We gave a 15% tip but I guess it wasn't good enough because she never came back to the table to thank us. It ended our dining experience on a bad note."

  • "Tria proves you can have great food and stay gluten-free, when the chef knows what they are doing. A printed gluten-free menu is available, with many good choices. Many of the entrees from the main menu are included. You won't be told you can just have a salad! (Although I highly recommend the arugula/beet/goat cheese.) There are dessert choices, also."

  • "went here expecting maybe too much. Very average food for the $$. These folks are capitalizing on location and not doing anything interesting."

  • "The experience at Tria was excellent! The food was delicious and the waitstaff met our every request with a smile. I would definitely recommend Tria for a great food experience. I can't wait for warmer weather and take advantage of their outdoor dining."

  • "Food great, wait staff great. But when we arrived they tried to seat us at card table in old deli area. Place not even busy yet that eve. Very low class. Dont try to cheap out for a few extra bucks. Its a shame."
