  • "Had a $38.00 steak Dianne- potatoes that were served were greasy and scorched - no other side???? Heavy price for you get."

  • "The venue is really nice. You take the elevator up and get off in front of the restaurant bar. The wall to your left is all windows with a very nice view. The restaurant itself is laid out well and pleasant. The food should be better for the price. It's not bad, but it's not great either. Our waitress was sincere and warm but could have used some training. The 'Romancing the Stone' option, basically heating your steak at your table on a hot rock sounds great but in practice doesn't work so well - it creates a smoky atmosphere that is a little irritating if you have sensitive eyes or nose. I had the buffalo, very dry, it is a lean meat but I felt the chef should have been able to overcome this with either technique or a sauce."

  • "We had a wonderful time with great food and outstanding service, but coming off the elevator into some weird smell was very off putting. If the smell had persisted past the bar and into the dining area we would have left."

  • "The food was great, but the service was limited at best. Our server never seemed to be around when we wanted him."

  • "I had the Elk & Scallops 'Build-a-meal' whatever, cooked it myself on the volcanic stone they bring to the table. My date had the Bison & Shrimp. We shared from each other's plate and let me tell ya', it was ALL DELICIOUS! From the fresh baked bread to the dipping sauces, everything was just mighty-tasty! A little pricey, but good portions and absolutely flavorful so, definitely worth it!"

  • "My wife and I ate here for our anniversary. The views of the front range are incredible and there are excellent views from just about any table in the restaurant. Because it was our anniversary, they gave us a free dessert which was very nice and we were pleasantly surprised. The service started out excellent, unfortunately, a large party was seated during our meal and assigned to our waiter. The larger party took more of our waiter's attention so from the time we finished our main meal, were served dessert and paid for our meal it took 45 minutes. Because of the delay, we just made a show in downtown Denver. The food was delicious but there house seasoning may be a little spicy for some patrons. Next time we will order the plain seasoning."

  • "We had a reservation at 6:30 and showed up early expecting to have a drink or two at the bar, but were seated right away. The menu is a bit large, but not overwhelming, and they have a great wine selection along with a full bar. The wait staff was awesome and our waitress was very friendly and fun. We both cooked our meal on the "stone" and it was fun to be able to cook it like you want it. The steaks are seasoned perfectly to really bring out the flavor of the meat. The rosemary red potatoes are sooo yummy!! We ended up bringing home the chocolate cake because the amount of food. Overall great experience and will definitely be making our way back!"

  • "First time there, We did not know what to expect. At first, very noisey, smokey, when dinner arrived, steak on a stone... it was very different and made the evening fun, it explained the noise and smoke... turned out to be a fun date. Yes, we will be back."

  • "Food was tasty and service was just right; everyone friendly; Just thought a bit overpriced for what you got especially the steak. Could have been a thicker cut (prime rib) for the money spent."

  • "We were seated promptly. 7-8 more tables were Seated after us. Drink order was taken as well as our meal. We had our salad and thought our food would be close behind. Well after all the other parties were served we finally Got our food. 45 minutes after we finished our salads. The waiter kept apologizing for our wait. The meal was very good But the wait was ridiculous."

  • "We have been coming here for years for our anniversary and still love it. We haven't had the normal menu, just the romancing the stone. Like the fact that you can make it perfectly how you want it and the options are great. Will continue to go for years to come."

  • "This was our second visit to Trppers and definitely not as special as the first. Both were special occasions about 2 yrs part, and we returned because first time was so nice. Views SHOULD be spectacular, but windows were so very dirty that enjoying view was impossible! And though we asked for a table with a view, we could see nothing. The seering of meat created so much smoke in the room that we finally complained....ventilation issues? My meal was very good, but the other meal not. Ribeye was tough, and stringy. Service seemed slow at all tables, but wait staff very friendly. ?..maybe a kitchen issue? We spent well over a hundred dollars for 2 people. Felt very disappointed, and I doubt we will return or recommend."

  • "This was our 1st visit to the local chop house and the wife and I agree that overall (especially for being in Parker) it was a pretty good experience. Trapper's offers to serve the steak on a hot (stone) style plate allowing you (if you choose) to cook your steak to your on desired temperature, while at first hesitant we did opt to try this and ended up really enjoying the experience. It truly allows you to sample your steak at various temperatures, although if not careful you'll end up with a few "well done" pieces. The pricing is very fair for a steak house, we each had our own plates along with wine and desert and still stayed under $100 inc. tip. Only note would be that the decor (to us) feels very outdated and not very intimate."

  • "Went with a group of friends on a Friday night and we had the best time. Got there at 6:30 and left at 10! No pressure from wait staff to leave sooner. We had the "romancing the stone" steak dinners which were excellent! The chef sears the meat and then it is brought out on a platter with a stone that is really, really hot and you continue to cook your steak to your liking. The veggies were great and the jalapeno cheddar mashed potatoes were awesome! All in all, it was a great evening at a great restaurant! Also, enjoyed the entertainment (solo singer with guitar) which was not overpowering but added a nice touch of ambiance. Will definitely go back."

  • "My wife and I went there for my birthday. Aside from my steak being just slightly underdone, the food was great. There isn't a huge selection if you're not a red meat eater, though. the ambiance was pretty nice and the prices were reasonable. They also had a pretty good draft beer selection."

  • "I was looking forward to coming to this restaurant. All the advertisment for good steak. They need to put a sign at the door..MUST LOVE COARSE BLACK PEPPER.... It was on everything from the salad to the baked potato to the steak and alot of it. I don't know if the chef was off or having an off night or what but no one needs that much pepper. The sauteed artichokes which sounded good were awful and the potatos were burnt and doused with pepper. My husband loves pepper and it was way to much for him as well. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT which was so nice but we were there for good food. It's on the 4th floor of a holiday inn which was also a bit strange."

  • "One of the best kept secrets of dining is 'Buck the Trend!" Go out when its not a weekend or holiday. Our Tuesday evening outing was excellent. By this I mean it was not crowded, we were well taken care of, attention to our needs was welcomed but not intrusive and the food, of course, was perfect. What a pleasure to go out and not have to speak above the noise, music or other guests. This was our 40th Anniversary (we did not alert the restaurant) but still received top-notch service."

  • "We loved cooking the steak on the stone! The lobster Mac & cheese could have been more cheesy, it had loads of great lobster chunks but lacked cheesiness."

  • "My younger sister and I took our mom here for her 60th birthday. When we arrived we were seated right away and staff was very friendly. We were given water right away however there was a delay in receiving our drinks. We ordered stuffed portabella mushrooms for our appetizer, the mushroomS ended up being one very large mushroom that took a very long time to reach our table. Several other tables that came in after us received at least the appetizer before we did. We also waited quite a while for our entrée, many other tables got their food before we did. When it arrived all was forgiven as it was cooked to perfection, it was quite heavy on the pepper. Overall a good experience. Would suggest they improve the timing of their service."

  • "Good food, but slow service. Sat for 15 minutues, and then the waitress acted surprised when we told her we were ready to order. Service was slow throughout the entire meal. Glad we had nowhere to go."

  • "The service was pretty good. Got seated quickly and even though we were participating through 5280 week, the service was prompt and friendly. The bread and drinks were spot on. The salad was very fresh and tasty. The main course was okay, our stakes for medium well were pretty pink but hot. The vegetable mix was bland and not that warm. The dessert was top notch."

  • "The stone for the steak was a fun way to eat the steak exactly how you want to cook it. Everything was hot because you only needed to place it on the stone for a few minutes to heat it up. It was very good...an unusual restaurant to be located in a Holiday Inn."

  • "The food was off-the-charts delicious and cooked to perfection! We were there with another couple and our waitress DID NOT bug us 100 times during our meal so we could have a nice conversation and enjoy our meal without kids! Dessert was great. Tables ARE PERFECTLY SPACED! I hate when tables are placed so close to each other you can over hear conversations, so this was a nice change. Had a perfect evening!"

We have had Meva as our waitress multiple times and always get consistently great service. The stone cooking is unique and it assures that every bite is hot and tasteful."
