Torch BistroAs Always, a Great Dinner!We took our son & his family, which included a 5 year old to the Torch Tuesday night to celebrate the kid's 40th and 41st birthdays. Heidi was our server and did her usual fantastic job. She also was great with our grandson. Atmosphere is very nice and our server was friendly and efficient, as was the host at the door. I also noted how quickly the bus boys cleaned up the tables after diners had left. I joined their birthday club so my meal was mostly free. However, I would go back again whether it was my birthday or not! It was also very quick and easy to make my reservation using Open Table, I even made changes to the reservation that afternoon. Definitely a wonderful experience.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMA very Uneven Dining Experience!The "Grilled" Caesar salad I had was strange tasting but okay. I would have preferred a normal "not grilled" Caesar salad because grilling the Romaine did nothing good, unique or delicious for the taste of the salad. My Frutti de Mare was very good. The pasta was al dente but a flavor with a little more garlic taste and a few more shrimp or mussels would have been appreciated; but the entree was very good as it was served. My Key Lime pie was excellent. My Black American coffee was the worst coffee I have been served in a long time. It had little coffee taste and smelled awful. The service was very good and everyone was very friendly. 3 people in our party ordered shrimp scampi and they all agreed that it was not good. They commented that it tasted bland, not enough flavor. 1 other person was not wild about their meal. However, the remaining 4 loved their food. So I guess 50/50 is not so great. I, personally, enjoyed my meal very much. This was our first time at Torch, but it won't be the last. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the decor was lovely. We were there during off hours this time but the same service and friendliness we have come to expect. Food superb!!!3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMI selected Torch Bistro forI selected Torch Bistro for my birthday dinner and I could not be more pleased. Their calamari is hands down the best I've ever had. The service was amazing, our waitress kept our drinks and bread filled without us having to ask. Dinner itself was perfection, I could not have asked for better. Torch is my new favorite restaurant, and I will definitely be there more often!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMCreative food, attentive serviceWe went back to Torch Bistro after a slight hiatus and were pleasantly surprised that this one-off restaurant has maintained its high standards in food quality and service. The menu is diverse and creative and the chef presents everything cooked to order, hot and attractively plated. The pork "wings" are unique and delicious.
