Getting there

A word from Tinto
Jose Garces, Chef / Owner of the extremely popular Amada turns his attention to Basque country, the coastal and mountainous regions that blur the lines of demarcation between Spain and France. The intimate, 120-seat restaurant, which will feature a wine list of more than 75 Spanish and French varieties that will complement Garces' exquisite menu of small plates, will give guests the feeling that they are dining inside a rustic wine cellar. "At Tinto we are excited to introduce the city to 'pintxos,' the Basque region's equivalent of tapas," says Garces. "The menu will feature an assortment of these small plates and the region's best wines to pair with them." Hand crafted wooden grids, housing thousands of wine bottles, will completely surround the room. A 22-foot bar constructed with reclaimed orange-stained lumber and black and white Spanish tile will provide seating for up to 12 guests. Continued
