  • "2 food up friends from DC leftover impressed by our local cuisine, and the service, has not yet disappointed in 6 visits soi far in 2 years!"

  • "This was our second time visiting Tilth and we came back for my husband's birthday. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. We will be back."

  • "My wife and I did the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing. We typically go this route when the option is available. 2 of the 5 courses were very creative and memorable, but 3 of the courses were nothing special. Don't get me wrong, it was all very good. The portions were quite large for a tasting flight. Given the level of creativity, I would say it was slightly over priced. We will probably go back again, but we have found better in the Seattle area and so it likely won't be soon."

  • "This restaurant uses the freshest ingredients in all their dishes. Every time I've eaten here has been better than the last. The staff is friendly and helpful with the array of options available on the menu. They have everything from Steak to 8 course vegetarian and vegan meals. Can't wait to go back for more !!"

  • "Tilth is truly a gem - using seasonal ingredients, the flavor combinations are done in such a way that it makes you think about what you just tasted. We couldn't help but talk about everything we tried. They offer two portion sizes of most menu items - it was fun to be able to try more things and we shared most things at the table. The presentation is lovely and service was great. On the front patio, they created a nice little oasis, the only distraction was the inevitable street noise. I highly recommend Tilth and can't wait to return!"

  • "This was the first time visiting and the only problem was choosing what to order from the tasty menu. We already have plans to return!"

  • "Unique presentation and combination of fresh seasonal ingredients for a delicious and delightful meal. We ordered several small dishes and everything was a huge hit!!!"

  • "Tilth's menu is inventive - asparagus flan is not a combination I considered at home - with portion sizes that allow for exploration. I love it that I did not have to choose between two entrees because I could just order both in a small size. A pork loin with rhubarb was perfect. Crispy skin salmon was good enough to eat the skin. And the kitchen fielded our request to prepare a couple of fish entrees to medium-rare and not raw in the center. The space transforms an old home into an inviting and warm dining room."

  • "We were immediately looked after, no waiting whatsoever. They brought is a complementary dish of samples of their delicious soup du jour. The dinner was impeccable, delicious, creative, and beautifully presented by the waiter. The service was perfect - attentive without being obtrusive. When we were considering dessert, they suggested an option just whipped up by the chef of smoked nectarine sorbet, with bourbon nuts. We decided to try it. It was an experimental whimsy of the chef, and when we didn't love it, they removed it from our bill. I would and did recommend Tilth to anyone who loves creatively prepared, healthy, food, and a special dining experience that feels like going to a friend's home who treats you like a queen/king."

  • "This was our first time to Tilth. Amazing food, amazing service. A wonderful place for a romantic dining or with good friends. But you must appreciate fresh healthy food prepared with subtle imagination. No doubt, the best restaurant in Seattle. Thank you everyone. We will be back."

  • "The food and drink at Tilth are delightful. We visited for brunch on a Saturday. Our server was personable, friendly, and informative, and everything we ordered was several steps above "regular" brunch fare. Our only complaint was that several families with very young children and babies were there as well, and the noise level was pretty high. I realize that you can't control kids (or their parents), but it would have been a much nicer experience with less crying and shrieking and broken glassware. We'll be back for (late) dinner after the kids are in bed. :)"

  • "Set in an old Seattle home, bright, cheery and comfortable, Tilth offers great and imaginative food. The service was caring and attentive, the meal well-paced. We had the five course tasting menu, which Tilth supplemented with two amuse bouche. Each course was outstanding, and the fried asparagus tips with the asparagus flan were the best tasting asparagus dish I ever ate. Great place. I wished I lived in Seattle."

  • "Highly enjoyable restaurants with high end preparation and ingredients. Choose one of the specially assembled menus and wine pairings for a special occasion. Two-level pricing on entrees makes your choices more meaningful. Go ahead and splurge, it's worth it."

  • "Our meal started with a great recommendation of wine, Then a complimentary app with some bread and extremely good butter. All in all we tried a lot of different stuff and it was all great. Apparently they felt our food was taking too long (we hadn't noticed) so they brought out some more apps and free wine! Outstanding food, even better service! "

  • "My wife and I went to celebrate a job promotion there at the end of May. The service was impeccable. There was a large group inside the restaurant (we sat on the patio which was lovely). The kitchen staff had a lot to do but what it meant for us was, finally we could eat at the European speed we are used to. We hate speeding through our meal, it's an occasion not a fast-food joint experience. We enjoyed our Blanc de Blanc bubbles and then some lovely Italian red. We each had a tasting menu. With both our diets suffering from allergies and in my case celiac disease, these menus were a treat: a vegan one and a gluten free one. Overall the food was inventive, beautifully presented topped with awesome staff. A definite regular place for us!"

  • "Visited Tilth for the first time for weekend brunch on the front patio with amazing food and drinks. The grits and Pimm's Cup drink were our favorites along with the awesome service! Will definitely be back!"

  • "Went here for a date night with my husband and loved it! I've brunched at Agrodolce several times and loved the menu, but this is absolutely a higher level of cuisine. The menu offers the option of plate sizes so you can try as many different things as you might want to, and the portions were adequate. Our waiter was pretty good, but seemed to want to rush us slightly- I sensed it and asked that he bring the plates slowly so we could enjoy our night out. We had duck and some smoked beans that were incredible, but unfortunately they were from May's menu so I can't offer particulars in what to try. Overall, expensive but worth it for a nice evening out- the food is truly well thought out and lovely."

  • "The food is creative and delicious but the portions are not big and the prices are on the higher end of moderate. Two full size entrees for two people will leave you not quite full. Great spot for a special occasion, very cozy vibe."

  • "As always, the food was imaginative and beautifully presented. We shared three small dishes: a creamy Spring onion and green garlic soup, fava leaf salad with beats and pine nuts, and sablefish a la Plancha with a bit of rhubarb sauce and cauliflower puree; and one full dish: a beautifully rare seared duck breast with radicchio and polenta. I remarked to the chef after dinner that I grow lava beans, but had never considered eating the leaves. It was a new taste treat. Also as always, the service was attentive, discreet and professional. This organic, locally sourced restaurant is a gem. "

  • "Dinner for two on a Sunday night at Tilth. We had cocktail, wine, and split four courses and a cheese, no dessert. Food was imaginative and interesting preparation -- beef tri-tip was excellent, as was heirloom bean cassoulet. Cheese with wine pairing was probably the highlight of the dinner. Felt a little thin on value -- we had two drinks, 2 small plates and 2 large plates, and one cheese + wine pairing (10) and with tax & tip were in the $150 range -- not a lot of food on the small plates. Ambiance was very good, it's a modern-ish space for being in a bungalow and had a nice vibe even for a Sunday night. Service was professional and fine if not particularly friendly. Overall: interesting food, not great value;good vibe; ok service."

  • "What a wonderful restaurant. We recently went with friends and there was something for everyone on this menu, and everything was divine. This is particularly noteworthy because I am vegan, my husband is vegetarian and our friends are omnivores. We were all thrilled. I particularly appreciate the thought that has gone into crafting the vegan menu. Abundant and delicious! And that chocolate sorbet....!!!! Thank you!"

  • "I was in Wallingford on a weeknight and decided to try Tilth. Being my first visit I tried the 5 course tasting menu with wines selected for the courses. Each course was perfect and I particularly enjoyed the clams. The wines selections were awesome and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend Tilth "

  • "I've never had a bad experience with Tilth and this night was no different. We came for our anniversary and, on top of the complimentary bubbly, the food we ordered was absolutely amazing. Tilth remains my go-to place for special occasions. "

  • "Tilth is always has great food. Even though the menu changes monthly they always come up with new and exciting dishes. How do they do it? Service is attentive, but not intrusive. There is never a feeling that you are being rushed so they can use the table again. Noise level is tolerable, ambiance pleasant. This is really as good as it gets."

  • "I made a reservation with days of anticipation. I was taking a professor that was visiting Seattle to the restaurant, and when we arrived they told us they had no light. How hard would have been to let me know in advance? Very disappointing."

  • "Tasting menu was great. Lots of seasonal and spring-time treats. Servers told us what each dish was as they set it down, but they seemed rushed in their descriptions and would have liked them to speak up so we didn't have to say, "excuse me, what was that?" Part of the pleasure of a tasting menu us hearing the food deliciously described since the chef spends so much time making it close to perfect, and giving multiple layers of flavor. It gets embarrassing to keep asking what you're eating. We know we read it on the menu, but that was quite some time back once you're on course 4 & 5."

  • "I invited two good friends to meet for brunch at Tilth. They both appreciate good food, and we had a lot of talking to do. They loved their selections, as did I, and we all will certainly return."

  • "My husband and I have eaten here for dinner countless times (highly recommend) and this was our first brunch here. We had the French Omelet, which seems so perfectly simple yet was so exquisite that you could tell both the ingredients and the preparation were excellent. My husband had the Hanger Steak Hash (yum) that included a side salad with lovely Sweety Drop Peppers. The place is small (a converted bungalow), so reservations are recommended. It can be a romantic intimate meal for two, but it's not necessarily quiet. The service is excellent and friendly. No need to feel intimidated by asking questions about the food, we always learn about something."

  • "I made reservations at Tilth to celebrate my wife's 58th birthday. We were promptly seated when we arrived; served Peregrino water and presented an "amuse bouche" appetizer. We each ordered the 8-course Grand Tasting menu with the wine flights. Each course was presented exquisitely and the flavors were out of this world. The wine flights for each course were perfectly paired and delectable. Each course was explained by our server as it was presented as was the individual wine flights. Our server made us feel special and was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. We will be coming back."

  • "Tilth is a small place, with tables in every possible spot, but somehow that becomes charming and pleasant. Menu items seemed a bit more imaginative than most brunch places and were without exception very well prepared. The stuffed french toast with pistachios was a standout."

  • "Went there for Easter brunch (which also happened to be my birthday). I knew it would be a special menu (it was), and was pleasantly surprised to see a prix fixe with several tasty looking options. What we didn't anticipate was that - even with a limited menu - service took a ridiculously long time. It was as if each scone was baked individually from scratch, and lettuce for salads picked after the order was placed. 30 minutes for the first course, another 30 minutes to receive the second course, then...ANOTHER 30 minutes for the "dessert" course. And the food arrive luke-warm at best. The food tasted decent (except the French toast, which was barely coated in egg and certainly not "stuffed"), but not remarkable. I doubt we will be back."

  • "My friends and I totally enjoyed our brunch at Tilth. I had the soft scrambled eggs that were wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked. I ordered a side of bacon which really hit the spot, except I would have been happy with just a side of two pieces if given the choice. My friends ordered the French Toast (it looked beautiful) and also some biscuits and gravy which they enjoyed immensely. I loved the music (a bit of soul, i.e., Ray Charles); however, I though it was a bit too loud for an earlier brunch crowd, and our waitress kindly turned the music down a bit at my request - it would have been perfect for dinner or a larger crowd. I would definitely come back for brunch and also to try the lunch or dinner."

  • "The food and serivice is always outstanding. If I lived closer the Tilth would be my go to place for dinner once or twice a week. I especially like they way they prepare vegetables. They turn them into magic. "

  • "The food was excellent and the wait staff was very knowledgable. The service was a bit slow though. Do not get the butterscotch pudding unless you like to be punched in the face with a fistful of sugar. The dining space is very densely packed, you feel like you're at someone's family Christmas dinner and the entire extended family is there in too small a space. It can get loud! "
