"$42 for brunch in Saugerties? Insane. I live near Newport, Rhode Island, and two of the nicest places ON THE OCEAN do not even charge that much. I wish I could rate them NO stars for Ambience. They set up tables in a cavernous banquet room with high ceilings that was very brightly lit. No warmth whatsoever for EASTER Sunday! The food TASTED fine, but it was all, at best, lukewarm. I'm not sure they even had the chafing dishes lit. Who wants to eat cold pancakes and home fries? And it took service forever to bring us coffee -- also lukewarm -- and the juices were in small glasses. Why not leave a pot of coffee at the table for a group of 6? Bunch of poseurs, charging this much for so little. I won't be returning."

"too expensive for a Easter Brunch. Beautiful resturant (banquet area) and the food was good but not worth the $42 that was over priced for Easter. Since it was a brunch, it was sometimes difficult to get waiter service for small but important items like coffee"

"Special place for a special occasion or simply wonderful for any time. Vegetarian-friendly with at least two vegetarian meals that go beyond a plate of pasta, although it has pasta for vegetarians and meat-eaters as well. The upstairs is a perfect place for a larger group, especially with children as the privacy makes it perfect for other diners as well."

"We went for dinner during restaurant week but once there opted to choose from the regular menu. We had the lamb shank which was fall off the bone delicious and the Hudson Valley duck which was also delicious. A pleasant surprise was that they served zucchini flowers in off season. The chef is an alumni from the CIA as are most of the servers. The food was well prepared and presented, service was attentive and the restaurant was lovely with a fire place. Dinner was an enjoyable experience and look forward to returning in the summer when we can sit outdoors on the terrace."

"I was disappointed in the room and with the food. We had arugala and fig flat bread pizza as an appetizer that was so sweet it should have been a desert. The skate was soggy and tasteless and the food was generally too salty. This is a new boutique hotel and it reminded me more of an armory than of a hotel and tavern."

"Staff was courteous, helpful from the time we made the reservation. Food was excellent. Not for young children, which was nice. Design within was eye pleasing. Overall a wonderful experience. Pricey for the area, certainly more attractive to out of towners rather than Saugerties locals."

"It is so nice to add this new restauant to our area. The food and service were great, the room is beautifully done and the location right on the waterfull is quite special. When the weather warms up this is going to be a great place to dine outdoors."

"I was in town when they started the renovations to the mill. This was the first I had been in Saugherties since then. I wanted to see the progress. It was Hudson Valley Restaurant Week and Diamond Mill was a participating restaurant. I was amazed at the transformation. The terrace overlooking the falls is spectacular. The food and service was VERY good."
