Diner Reviews
  • "We have eaten at the Summit twice. The first time it was the Friday before Mother's Day and it was busy. Daniel our server was pleasant and courteous. The food was delicious. Andy Lock, one of the owners came by and greeted and asked how we were enjoying ourselves. The second visit was April 5th after a production at the Music Hall. We have early reservations a 5:30pm. Daniel again was our server. He was his pleasant . The prime rib, fried chicken and chicken pasta was excellent. I would definitely recommend it to others."

  • "Wonderful ambience. The formal dining area was very classy and the booth gives a slightly more intimate and romantic setting. Staff was extrememly friendly and attentive. FOOD WAS AMAZING! Outstandling flavors and layers. Definitley recommend the Pork Chops & there French Onion soup. Cocktails were very impressive as well. I wanted to try all of their appetizers. The entree's were incredible but it would also be a great place for just drinks and small plates. We were there between 5-7 and the crowd was definitely older - at least on the dining side. The bar area which seemed to have the younger crowd appeared to be casual yet refined. Would like to go back to see what their late night ambience is like."

  • "We got there at noon, with a reservation for lunch, love the salmon and jasmine rice, rice wasn't ready. But being a restaurant person I think you should have stuff ready. This was our second visit and we'll give them another shot."

  • "A very busy, high energy/noise level place but comfortably so. Nice decor, plenty of staff. I had the side salad (very good size) and Reuben sandwich which was perfect. As busy as it was service was friendly and attentive. This was a first visit but will definitely return."

  • "Excellent food, mediocre service at our table and a bit too loud for group conversation."

  • "With premium food, quite atmosphere, over-sized accommodations and reasonable prices this is a great option for personal sized or group business lunches. The food selection does run the gamut in style of food with larger portions while being appropriately priced for the lunch crowd. You can make a fresh protein selection or choose from more refined options or get a refined approach to standard american staples. There are over-sized booths for smaller groups, they will accommodate medium sized groups in the main dining area or utilize their private dining room for larger groups. All options still allow for a quite & intimate venue for purpose based business lunches."

  • "It was restaurant week, so I will say they were slammed....however, after taking our order, the waiter said he would be bringing bread by. After our appetizer and salads, he again said he was going to get the bread. Never saw the bread. Food was good and the dessert also."

  • "I had made reservations almost 3 weeks before Valentine's Day for my girlfriend and I, but when we arrived we were told there was going to be a small wait. We had a seat at the bar, and had to ask 3 different times when/if we were going to be seated. It was an hour later that we were finally seated and 15 minutes later before our waitress took our order. She was very terse and short with regarding any questions we had and only came to refill our waters once. This was obviously supposed to be a romantic occasion, but we were seated by a group of twenty-somethings just drinking and being quite loud. The food was amazing, but for $30.00 per plate, it should be. Despite reasonably priced drinks and great food, I would not recommend this."

  • "The staff went above and beyond on a very busy holiday evening. Great service, good food, easy to locate. The gentleman, I forget his name, who manned the reception counter on Sat evening at 7:30pm is awesome. We had a 7:30 reservation and the store was very crowded. My wife and I never felt like we were forgotten and we were kept informed during the 25 minute wait. Kudos to him and your process. The waitress also rates very high. Funny, attentive, and professional. Hats off to all."

  • "We had reservations for the Saturday evening following Valentine's Day so we expected them to be busy. The place was packed but we were seated as soon as we arrived and had great service and didn't feel rushed. The chopped salad was wonderful! We ordered the Romano cheese (?) crusted Tiliapia and I found it a bit limp and soggy. We really like the variety on their menu."

  • "I went with a friend of mine. Two friends having dinner on Valentine's Day and it was packed! However, they had complimentary valet parking which was a very nice offer. The restaurant is beautiful inside. Although we're friends, the ambience was romantic, low light, roses on the tables, etc. The food is excellent! I had the pot roast nachos and the blackened salmon salad and both were delicious. The waitress was very attentive. I noticed all of the wait staff working very hard that night. I would highly recommend this to anyone. I would love to go back and try more things on the menu."

  • "The Summit Grill normally has great service, but unfortunately Valentine's Day was an exception. Although we had a reservation, they appeared overbooked and we ended up waiting for a table and a long time for our food. (Thankfully it was delicious as usual!) We like the Summit Grill and would recommend it, just not on a special occasion. They didn't seem prepared to handle such a large crowd, and at one point our waitress couldn't even find enough clean glasses for our drinks. I realize being that busy is a "good problem" for a restaurant to have, but I hope they can improve service during special occasions. We love the place and definitely wouldn't want to see it follow in the steps of the building's previous two tenants."

  • "We went here for Valentine's Day 2014. They were packed so we were seated about 30 minutes after our reservation but it was all worth it once we got our food. We enjoyed the Spinach & Artichoke Dip, House and Caesar Salads, Pork Chops & Lobster Stuffed Salmon and shared the Chocolate Butter Cake dessert. We didn't get the Valentine's Day special meal but we enjoyed our meal just the same. The bartender made an excellent Long Island and we enjoyed great conversation. They have a bar side and a restaurant side so it made it more intimate when we sat down to eat. Great hidden gem and we'd definitely go back."

  • "We were there on Valentines Day which could explain the service not being outstanding. We had to wait 15 minutes for our desert to-go. Other than that, the service was outstanding."

  • "Did not like that I made a reservation almost a week and a half out and the restaurant had no reservation in their records even though I received a confirmation through Open Table. I would recommend people to call the restaurant themselves. The staff were great with addressing the situation even with them being booked that night. Great food, good atmosphere."

  • "This was a great neighborhood experience. The food was awesome, the service was equally as awesome. The mood was perfect for a Valentines Day celebration. The restaurant is 5 minutes from our home and we totally enjoyed the entire experience."

  • "This restaurant is fairly close to our house and we were just wanting a couple of burgers and drinks. We found the burgers to be very good, huge! but very good. We actually could have split one between the two of us. The waitress came to check on us several times and was engaging without being a pest. I've eaten here a few times and never had a bad meal so I'd recommend this highly."

  • "We haven't been to Summit since it turned over from Rumors. It was a nice surprise! They've updated the menu with more flavorful and unique options (the poutine was amazing & the durac pork chop was HUGE - and delicious). Wedge salad was so-so, the salmon salad wasn't what it could've been, and the drinks were good (except being out of the gin I prefer). We were pleased to see it so busy as it does sit a bit off the highway and it takes a trip on the side road which would deter many. The bar was busy with live music and an energetic crowd. We had a very pleasant evening & will without a doubt return in the future."
