We ordered the Tri tip steak and 1/2 smoked chicken. The chicken had great flavor and the steak was cooked perfectly. Remember, most meals are al a carte so if you want a salad, be ready to pay. The server was attentive.

Very pleasant restaurant. Ordered 2 game dishes. the elk meatloaf was very good: flavorful, good sauce and veggies. The Bison ribs was the opposite: very tough meat, lots of gristle, not much flavor at all. Was not impressed with anything else on the plate either.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Pump House on March 16, 2012. Outside, the weather was cold and snowy. But, inside the restaurant was toasty warm and filled with happy diners. We selected a bottle of California wine from the extensive wine list. This particular Cabernet is somewhat difficult to find in California, let alone in Alaska! Our food was wonderful. Our server, Morgan, was always close, and, even on a busy night, she had time to talk with us about tourist attractions. The restaurant was filled with pictures and stories of Alaska's past.
