  • "Our Server gave us excellent service; the lump crab cakes were excellent but 2 were too much for me. I love the interior decorating style of the restaurant and restrooms. We ate in the main ding room but next time I want to hang out in the bar area to see the difference. It was a great choice for Easter Sunday dinner. We did not feel rushed. The downside was I did not like was our table location, so I will know next time to be more specific for seating arrangement."

  • "This was our fourth visit in the last year, and we were not disappointed. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing. The food was good and presented beautifully. The price for the best Scotch was way overpriced compared to other local establishments, but I suspect that it is a case of casinoitis. "

  • "If you expect the same excellent experience that you get at the DC PR. Was the worst experience I have ever had at a purported "up scale" restaurant. The steak ordered “Well done”, came out burnt like a hockey puck. Could not get our server to come to the table, flagged down another staff person and they took it back to the kitchen. Overheard the server telling the manager “not to come over to our table because she had it under control”. So for the rest of the dinner the manager ducked our table. Server finally came an hour later to bring out the steak, and proceeded to blame us that we should have had the steak cut in half. This is not the normal service, the one in DC were able to get the steak correct without having to butterfly it. "

  • "Ate with a business partner and we split an appetizer, each had a salad and had the surf and turf. The meal was excellent and delivered hot. The waiters were somewhat inexperienced and could not remember all the specials, didn't refill glasses, etc. but that did not deter from a great meal."

  • "I made a reservation and ask for a quiet table. The hostess sat us at a table that was next to the bathroom and outside door. It was an extremely high traffic area, the complete opposite of what I ask for. We were celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary and wanted something intimate. I didn't realize until after we were seated about the bathrooms and outside dining. Our waitress, Tara, without being asked moved us to another table that was across from the first, that had less traffic. If it wasn't for Tara the meal would have been an extreme disappointment. The food was excellent as well as Tara, but not the hostess."

The oysters Rockefeller appetizer was dry and lacking of substance, the crab cake was not well seasoned and dry, the filet was not seasoned well and the stuffed flounder was dry. Overall, this was very disappointing. We were expected to be blown away. We will not return."

  • "This is the place to go. There are several other well know upscale steak houses in this area, but this place is a cut above. Steak was perfect as were the duck fries and asparagus. Certainly not for those on a budget, but if you got the bucks, well worth it."

  • "We went to the Prime Rib for an anniversary dinner. We noted on the reservation that it was our anniversary, but we were seated right by the kitchen door (not romantic). The tables are sooo close together -- we had ladies sitting by us on their phones all through dinner. Oh, they got there after we did and got their dinner before us and finished by the time our dinner arrived! The naked pictures were a turn-off during dinner. The food was sub-par (I'm a pretty good cook myself, so I would have expected a chef to cook better. We were given a piece of cake for our dessert. Our server didn't mention it or even offer other dessert options. I have celiac and the cake wasn't an option for me."

  • "The food was good ,not worth the price at all though, my husband got the special of the night which was a 20 ounce bone in rib eye and was $75, and he said Ruth Chris's was better at a much lower price (45). We had an 8pm reservation and with little explanation as to why we did not get a table until 9pm! They just kept brushing us off saying our table was "almost ready" every time we'd ask, how is an hour after our reservation time "almost ready"? They never even apologized for the wait either. Will not being going back to the md live location ever again!"

  • "The waitress was informed we were celebrating my birthday. She took my order last out of the three is. Serving the mail companion first and his wife and I were served last. We asked if there were any specials shed advised but did not give any pricing. We ordered and found at the end that the special was twice as much as the other meals. We didn't plan to pay 85 $ for a steak. Guess we should have asked. But the wasn't a menu for specials either. Disappointed for ever."

The salad dressing for the Caesar Salad was very tart and lemony (definitely did NOT taste like any Caesar salad dressing we've ever had), our filets were totally tasteless, and the fries were cold. Plates aren't even hot. Are you kidding me??? Ugh. Cannot think of one good thing to say about our dinner tonight. We often eat at Ruth's Chris and Flemings. Too bad we didn't go to one of those tonight. Not only are both much less expensive, their food and service really puts The Prime Rib to shame. Terrible, terrible meal."

  • "Wine list is varied and tasty. Tomato Bisque was probably the best soup I have ever had, but my entrée (Veal Chop) was good. That is the problem. For prices that rival Ruth's Chris, Mortons, Milton Inn, Furnace Inn, etc, one should feel that they were eating something special. Good doesn't really cut it. My dinner mate had a porterhouse ($85) - that is too steep. I understand that it is in a casino and the prices might be a touch inflated, but again, fine dining should leave you satisfied and ready to plan your next outing there. Service was outstanding! But, I probably will not go back. I'll go to Mortons. IMHO, nobody can touch their Cajun Ribeye, and at $59, you feel like your stealing!"

  • "Having dined at The Prime Rib before, my expectations were set for an enjoyable dining experience. I was disappointed with the service and food. We ordered two12 oz filets medium. One came to the table well done, the other cooked fine. The well done filet was returned and a replacement brought 15 minutes later - rare, again it was returned and brought back. I shared my meal, while my date waited another 15 minutes only to have the same filet returned. At this point the wait staff disappeared and we had to wait an additional 20 minutes to flag our waitress for our check. The length of time and attention will not have me going back any time soon. Not how I anticipated a birthday celebration. Very Disappointed!"

  • "We ended up sitting in the bar area, which was less noisy than the very busy dining room. The ambience is great. The food was delicious. The server forgot to bring out one round of cocktails that we paired with a dish, but his skills were so top notch, he more than made up for it. Food was great, better than I expected. I would return to the bar to enjoy a meal. I walked through the dining room on my way to the rest room. It was so crowded, I don't think I would ever dine in that area. That indicates things are good for business, nonetheless."

  • "Having been to Ruth's Chris and Morton's a few times, I wasn't expecting the same caliber of food from this place for 2 reasons: 1. The name "Prime Rib" doesn't scream "snooty restaurant" to me. 2. The restaurant was connected to a casino. (Yes, there is usually a lot of money floating around a casino but they also tend to cater to the buffet crowd.) I ordered the dry-aged ribeye and it was to die for. It blew every trip to Morton's or Ruth's Chris out of the water. The rest of our table ordered a petite filet, the wet-aged ribeye and the prime rib respectively and everyone else seemed very pleased with their steaks as well. I was enjoying my ribeye so much that I didn't even eat a bite of the generously-portioned sides we ordered."

  • "My brother was in town for the weekend, and I had just had a birthday, so my brother wanted to take to somewhere really special for dinner. My roommate and I had seen the restaurant while playing blackjack at the Maryland Live! Casino. We arrive about 15 minutes early for our 7PM reservation, but were seated immediately. Our waiter was Jonathan and he was extremely professional, answered our questions promptly and when prompted made a few suggestions for wine and dessert. The atmosphere was elegant, but not stuffy, the food was perfect (my tuna was cooked exactly as I requested, medium rare), Jonathan kept our water and wine glasses full without being overt (I was always surprised to see my wine glass had been refilled). 5 gold stars!"

  • "We had a 9 pm reservation and arrived around 9:02 pm. We were told by the host that it will be a few minutes as they're clearing the table. A few minutes turned in to 9:15 pm and still not table. So we decided to go to the bar and a young man took our order then he left. When he came back we asked him where our drinks were and he said "oh, somebody else is taking care of it" that was a queu for us to leave the bar. We went back to the host and same thing we were told again it will take a few minutes. We were finally seated after 9:30 pm. My husbands Cowboy steak was also terrible. I had high expectation from a venue like the Prime Rib to be punctual given my dining experience with 4-5 stars restaurants this was really disappointing."

She ordered fish stuffed with crab meat and artichoke hearts...she thoroughly enjoyed the food and the entire dining experience. She's looking forward to another visit. We plan to go back again. As for upscale, price wise yes, but this is in a casino the dress code seems non existent The lobster bisque was bland the lobster not to be found The rib eye was large but lacking the intense flavor one expects of a $75 steak Wife's lobster tail was excellent , the filet mignonette was cooked as ordered, but again not large in flavor While my steak was way undercooked, the server returned with it done medium not med rare The service was excellent I cannot fault the server for the kitchen. As for attempting to get into this restaurant, avoid the weekend unless you enjoy major traffic in the parking garage"
