Some of us had been before, some not, but all of us enjoyed our food very much. Those of us who had been before weren't too surprised by the great food, but Julie, our server, really made the experience complete. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. Very modern with straight lines. The service was excellent. Our waiter went over the menu with us. We started off by sharing the canyon flatbread appetizer....yum! For dinner I had the coconut curry scallops delish (the curry was very subtle) and my friend had the blackened grouper which she also said was tasty. Instead of dessert we opted for cocktails. For me Prosecco very good and my girlfriend had the key lime mojito which she said was amazing. I would recommend this restaurant. I can not wait to come back to visit my friend and dine at The Northside Social.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchOur family of four had a wonderful meal for Mother's Day. The layout of the restaurant does lend itself to being a little noisy. However, the food was absolutely awesome. From the bacon to the potato-crusted Saba to the Parmesan covered shrimp, it was mouth watering good. The buffet items were excellent, familiar but with a twist. The mushroom chicken and parmesan shrimp stood out in my mind, my favorite though was the roast beef hash. The staff was very pleasant and extremely efficient. Sometimes buffets can get messy and the food gets cold but that was not the case here. The staff was continually tending to the line so each return trip (there were many) was pleasing. Our server was attentive but not obtrusive. used plate were cleared promptly and coffee cups always filled.
We will definitely be back, we are anxious to try the regular menu.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious Dishes in Broad RippleOne of our favorite local places is the Northside Social. My brother was visiting from out of town and we decided to go there as a special treat. We had the Clay Pot Fish, the Manchego Chicken and the Spicy Red Snapper. All three were delicious, well-spiced and unique; although they retain some favorites on the menu, the NS rotates their other dishes so you are never bored. We've been there several times and have never been disappointed. The service is generally good, too. The only con is that once the restaurant fills up, it's pretty loud.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ambianceI enjoyed the ambiance and vibe. We went with another couple, and it is a great place for that. You can hear each other perfectly, yet there is a wonderful energy. The food was delicious; we especially loved the calamari, and the extensive selection of beer and wine. The restaurant is not too big, so not ideal for large parties, but wonderful for small intimate parties, double dates, or a date. Our server Tia was quite patient with us, as we had a lot of questions about the menu. We ordered the porterhouse steak & Ahi tuna. Both meals were very good and arrived hot. We also had a Caesar salad and a Mediterranean salad. The Mediterranean Salad was very flavorful with great texture. Neither salad was dressing drenched, which is a huge pet peeve of mine.

The service is always wonderful. I feel a little guilty about giving only a "good" rating on my food so I'm going to qualify that with this since they have so many great selections - I strayed from ordering one of my usual dishes to try something new.
