  • "I've always wanted to go there, and I finally got to try the Melting Pot for the first time during restaurant week. I would recommend it to anyone looking to try the Melting Pot for the first time. We did lunch and added the cheese trio for an appetizer and it was the perfect amount of food. If you see them on the restaurant week special again, definitely go for it!"

  • "Service and food were good, but I agree with other reviewers very overpriced for small plates of food that you have to cook yourself."

  • "I came in with a group of 5 other friends. Most of us had been there before but for those who hadnt our server did a great job explaining how the menu worked and all of the different options. We had a great time."

  • "My boyfriend and I went here for the first time Friday for our anniversary. I had reserved a table 3 days in advance. When we arrived, we were told we needed to wait for the table to be ready, which was an annoyance because that defeats the purpose of a reservation. Our host was very attentive and informative and gave us amble time to look over the menu and figure out what we wanted. The cheddar cheese was a little bland, if there is a next time we go, definitely going with the Wisconsin trio. For the rice you pay, you get very little meat, kind of disappointing. On the upside, you go at your own pace and cook the food to your liking. All in all, it was ok. Nothing extravagant but not terrible either."

  • "Our server, Zachary, was very helpful with all the menu options and it made for an amazing first experience at the melting pot! I loved that he made the fondu right in front of us and told us everything he was doing.. Great experience, can't wait to go back!"

  • "Awesome food. A great cooking experience!!! The caeser salad needs help. My salad seemed swamped in dressing and not crunchy. My wife's house salad was just a simple salad with regular ranch dressing. There has to be a special touch to the salad in order to differentiate between restaurant salads. I would not compare Outback Steakhouse with The Melting Pot but there salad is ten times unique and better. Thank you!"

  • "Request for one of the curtained private booths. It is quieter there and better service. The noise level in the main area was ok. We were there on a Saturday evening and were near a table full of intoxicated ladies celebrating a birthday. We have been there before in the curtained area and had a wonderful time. The service and food is amazing. Go there even just for the dessert fondue alone. So good!"

  • "Good for a special occasion, one time experience. For price, will probably try somewhere else next time. 2 Beers, 1 mixed drink, 2-four course dinners and desert was $130 w/tip."

  • "The three course fondue meal was excellent and the staff were so friendly and courteous. We had a lovely meal!"

  • "Remember when fondue was in vogue back in the 70s? Remember how it quickly went out of vogue? That's because of the hassle (and danger) of doing it yourself at home. The Melting Pot is the answer! All the hassle has been taken out of fondue, but all the fun left in, with the added bonus of so many options for deliciousness! For a first-timer I have to recommend the 4-Course Experience. This lets you try everything available, but be forewarned: You will be overstuffed. It doesn't seem like you will be because each course looks so small by itself, but it adds up to a lot of food by the end of the night. The only drawback was depending on where you're seated at the table, reaching the second fondue pot can sometimes be a bit tricky."

  • "We had heard great things from friends about the restaurant. It exceeded our expectations. It is expensive so be prepared. The food was delicious and the experience is well worth it. The staff was very nice. I would say my only negative comment would be that the dining room manager walked by several times without greeting us at all. I'm very happy with our experience and we will go back in the future."

  • "We had the salad, entree fondue, and chocolate fondue. The entree was a lot more filling than expected when you see it brought to on the plate uncooked. I loved the teriyaki marinated sirloin and my husband liked the salmon best. Toffee crunch fondue was unbelievable and our favorite dipper was the blondie."

  • "I have been trying to get to The Melting Pot for 10 years but could never talk my husband into it. Finally, we went and it was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. We went over lunch so it was quiet and not busy so our waiter was almost 100 % ours, he was fabulous and so attentive. The food was wonderful and he explained everything to us so well. He even lit our dessert on fire, it was so cool. I am NOT going to let my husband make me wait another 10 years before going back here."

  • "After we were seated, it took over 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table, and I had to go back to the front desk to request our server to come to our table. Through the night we only saw our waitress when it was time to bring our next course out, and one other time to get a refill (and I had to peek out of our booth to make eye contact with her just so she knew to come over) I have brought my wife to The Melting Pot several times in the last few years, but if service continues like this i may just find another place to go."

  • "I had 3 living social deals, and brought a party of seven. They were exceptionally kind (some places with deal vouchers arent so kind), but the service was amazing!! We were in a private room, and even my grandma had a blast! Kevin and Camille were amazing and we always felt well taken care of. :-)"

  • "Had been there quite a while ago, place has NOT changed, this restaurant looks old, no technology wires, cord hanging down under the tables. Ok the food or lack of it is amazing, ordered the three dish choices, got two steaks, and shrimp, which meant 5 small shrimp, and 8 bite size pieces of meat, which you cook your self, and is the only fun part. Used to give you oil to cook in now you get a flavored soup broth, which I did not care for. We each ordered a salad first, smallest plate and amount I gave ever seen, there was never an offer of fresh ground pepper, in fact service is slow. This meal cost a little over 70.00 and we did not have anything to drink! Deserts were starting at nine dollars for chocolate fondue"

  • "We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday there and had a wonderful time. The food was great--just make sure you have about 3 hours if you plan to do the 4 course meal!!! I would suggest people try all of it if you are dining there because is was fabulous. Our waitress was personable and knowledgeable about all of the foods and drinks but she did not come back to our table often enough to check on things."

  • "The food was wonderful, as always. The service was possibly the worst I have ever experienced. We were seated over 20 minutes before our server greeted us. When he finally did greet us, it was with this: "I'm so sorry you guys, I've been here all day and am just ready to go home". We were celebrating our anniversary so we didn't want to complain or go somewhere else and ruin our night, as we had been excited to go to the Melting Pot for a while. We chose the 4 course meal, and our server forgot to bring our salad and then blamed it on his help staff, although he had been to our table numerous times and should have clearly seen that we were not, at any point, eating salad. Other odd comments from our server, not enough room here..."

  • "We had not been to The Melting Pot for many years. We used to visit the location in Atlanta when we were younger, so we were looking forward to going back. We had our 20 yr old Daughter with us as a Newcomer to this Style of Dining. It was so much fun. The Food was Great. The Service, though was what made it such a memorable evening. Our server was so nice. You could tell she was experienced and enjoyed what she did. She explained things very well and recommended things when we couldn't decide. She was interactive throughout and made the whole experience exceptional. We will definetly be back."

  • "This was my 3rd visit and by far my least favorite. The food was okay but I can tell you are getting less than what you once did yet the cost is the same or higher."

  • "Our service was slow even though our reservation was for 9. Very humid in the restaurant. Made it seem like an inconvenience we wanted a second pot for a vegetarian at the table so we were not cooking in the same pot."

  • "Tried to change reservation to have friends join us, they said they were completely booked & then we were seated at a table for 8 but it was just 2 of us. Furthermore the restaurant was not "booked"; it was like eating at chuckie cheese with all the dang kids acting like wild animals; food was way over priced; & service was marginal. On top of that, every time our waiter came to our table, he thought he was Matthew McKnight.... "all right all right all right"!!!"

  • "Went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. made reservation a week in advance. A day before I got a call confirming reservation AND asking if we are celebrating something and as I mentioned the occasion so they offered me if I would like some decorations...like balloons, bouquet for my wife or a gift basket..since we are not into much decoration so I passed but it was thoughtful on their part...and when we went in...they had special booth ready for us with a anniversary wish card..manager came to wish us...service was good..our cook was great! since this was our first time..he walked us through the menu..and kind of guided us through..and in the end..we got complimentary chocolate coated strawberries :)"

  • "We were there for a four course pm we would expect about a two hour process. We were there for over three, toooooooooooo much waiting for every course, over booked tAbles for one server.... Disappointed, didn't want to order more food or drink due to time to get things"

  • "We went for Father's Day, and had 6 people in our party. We arrived 20 minutes early, but were seated immediately, so that was great. Sound level was quiet, and very enjoyable. We only had 2 cheese settings, and 2 dessert settings, and opted not to eat a full meal. Food was fun to eat, but slightly more $$ than I am used to spending. Our party of 6 cost around $110.00, with all of us drinking only water. Service was great, and free refills on dipping items was good. Even though it didn't appear to be much food for 6 people, we were all satisfied at the end of the meal with our portions. I would go again, on another special occasion."

  • "Mediocre service High prices Small portions Server and hosts need improvement or maybe they would fit in better at Applebee's. Poor service. Rushed. Sarcastic. Impatient. Didn't even get my strawberries. No happy birthday either."

  • "Gift Certificate was one reason we chose the Melting Pot for an early evening dine, the other reason was just curiosity. Since this was our first time at the restaurant we decided to enjoy the 4 course fondue meal. The adventure through each course was surprisingly delicious. Breads, vegetables, and apples to smother with the cheese fondue, salad, and main course included fillet mignon, chicken, shrimp, and pork all seasoned with tasteful spices excited the taste buds. Ending with the chocolate fondue topped off the meal. This is definitely a place to try. You will be surprised."

  • "we had a living social coupon for 2 salads & 2 entrees, it was a little date night with my boyfriend and i and we'd both never been to the melting pot so i thought this would be a good time to try it. The food was really good, though the salads were VERY SMALL. They were practically served on a bread plate. We ordered a variety of meats/poultry for the main course and it was plenty for 2 people. we definitely didn't have room for dessert. It is a little bit more expensive than i had anticipated... for two of us to have 1 drink each, salads, and and entree, it was $98 before a tip. (without my living social coupon). Great server, his name was Joe, and he was very knowledgable and helpful. Booth was very snug and a bit claustrophobic."

  • "We were able to get a private booth for two for birthday boy's evening. He didn't want any frills, so we kept it quiet and the staff was completely on board. Our waiter was prompt, knowledgeable about the menu, offered suggestions, had a great tableside manner as he prepared food, and even took our picture for us at dessert (our camera). Birthday boy received a card and strawberries from 'the house' which was a lovely touch. We will be coming back soon just for good times!"
