  • "I took some out of town folks and they loved it. it is a great spot to take people who want to sit and catch up with. the food is great and since it take a while to enjoy your whole meal you have plenty of time to catch up. "

  • "We had the 4-course meal which was delicious, but difficult to eat that much. We don't live in town, so the option to come back and have the chocolate course another time was not possible for us. However, the food was excellent and the service wonderful. Our waiter provided excellent suggestions."

  • "I have been to several Melting Pot locations and always enjoy my meal. I usually dine for special occasions only. I do see lots of children when I go so seems to be a fun family dinner as well."

  • "We were excited to do something different. We explained to our waiter that it was our first time visiting. He was very rushed yet took a long time to bring us anything back. He didn't explain at lot about the process or anything about the food selection. We could hear a waitress next to us taking her time with her customers and explaining everything to them. Therefore, we were left wishing we had someone different helping us out. Our dessert was terrible as it tasted like alcohol. When asked about it, he stated that there was not alcohol in the dessert so we are not sure what happened. There were other mishaps, but these were probably the top few. Fortunately, the food was very good and it was fun making a variety of items."

  • "We were greeted by the hostess, Molly, who was very unfriendly to the point of being rude. We almost left. We were met at our table by a very friendly waitress, Tiara. She took a lot of time explaining and recommending, which was nice. We really liked the cheese fondue; it was very flavorful. We were disappointed in the entrees, as all were a little bland. I wouldn't recommend this to my friends as I thought it was overpriced and not that great. The bussing staff was non existent at our table. Our iced tea and water sat empty after initial glass; all dirty plates were never cleared and fondue pot was never turned off."

  • "Although we didn't get the chocolate as usual, their new menu set up is perfect for those who do not want all for courses. I especially lived the trio of meat your were allowed to decide upon. As always, great food, great service, and an amazing time to spend with my wife on our one year wedding anniversary. By far our favorite restaurant."

  • "I have dined into The Melting Pot twice now, this last time topped the last, we were given a secluded booth with a curtain that could be drawn. It just made it that more seclusive for my bf and me. Our service was amazing his knowledge of the products was very good. He made our cheese fondue veru good good by adding bacon to the cheese that didn't have cheese in it, the apline (yummy). I hadf the french quarter and my bf had the surf and turf, DELICIOUS. Never any complaints, we left out server a nice tip for helping provide A plus service. I would give this restaurant am A++++++ :) thank you for the lovely evening"

  • "I took my family to eat at the Melting Pot in Indianapolis. This was our first time to eat fondue. I found the process of ordering to be confusing. You have to choose the style you want to cook in and everyone at the table must cook your food using that style. I would not recommend this restaurant for picky eaters - like children. It was a very long night since you would cook a piece of food, eat it while your next piece was cooking. We ended up bringing home leftovers. Be prepared to spend about $40/person."

  • "We recently visited the Melting Pot after several years of not having been there. It was a wonderful dining experience. Our server was knowledgeable and did not intrude on our dining time unless necessary. The private booths are great and we will defintately return! The food was perfect and the chocolate - there are no words!"

  • "A slow and romantic way to dine. Perfect for a special occasion, quiet interlude with special friend(s). They do have large tables, so groups can share also. For a late night, after movie or concert, just the chocolate fondue would be a perfect end to the evening."

  • "The hostess was snotty from the moment we walked in. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was ruined by loud tacky pseudo jazz/elevator music. The food was okay at best. The most rewarding part was dessert. The manager was nice and came out to check on everything and our waitress was nice but didn't give that welcome feeling I've had at other locations. Evidently, they just redid their menu and seemed to be missing some of the favorites. I love the melting pot, I just won't be going back to this one."

  • "We had a great experience. The service was great and so was the food. Our server made the experience fun and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend making reservations in advance because we had no problem getting seated at our reservation time."

  • "Our kids were given a choice of going to Kalahari or The Melting Pot over spring break and they chose Melting Pot. We try to go once a year and every time we go we are not disappointed."

  • "The service was not good since the waiter made few mistakes like not providing the right no. of plates. Didn't serve drinks when needed, was not so friendly overall :("

  • "The service was amazing. We had never been there before and the waitress walked us through everything. Definitely plenty to eat!"

  • "This was a very fun and romantic dinner. Our waiter, Tiara, was amazing! She provided us with memorable service, while making it very easy/fun meal to eat. We can not wait to go back and try some different selections. I also like the fact the $40 Living Social offer is donated to charity. This helped out with the bill because the menu was somewhat pricey, but the experience was worth it. The drinks were pretty delicious and innovative; I never seen these drinks on any other menu. Lastly, please do not discontinue the cheesecake. Maybe, you can do a frozen cheesecake to dip, or even add ice cream to drizzle chocolate on top of with toppings."

  • "My husband and I were in town for a convention. So we decided to try the Melting Pot. We made reservations at 9:00am for 7:45pm. We arrived at 7:15pm. The restaurant smelled a little and the lobby appeared to be dirty. We almost changed our mine about eatting there. The hostesses said our table won't be ready until closer to 7:45pm. There was another couple that walked in right after us and didn't have reservations. The hostesses took them right in. We did not like that the restaurant takes walk ins over reservations.? Not good for business. Our waitress Lindsay was great she showed us everything and explained every step in detail. Because of her we had a great experience."

  • "I took my daughter and a few of her friends to Melting Pot for her birthday. The restaurant was not crowded at all despite having a hard time getting a reservation. We only had chocolate--which was out of this world!!! I would suggest sticking to the plain chocolate rather than the speciality kinds as they are so rich and overwhelming. Our only criticism would be the service. Our waiter was not very attentive and was not helpful at all. None of our party had ever been there before, so when I asked for him to explain how things work his response was..."you get a pot of melted chocolate and you dip stuff in it." On the positive, he left us alone and let us enjoy ourselves and have fun. Overall, we had a great time."

  • "Our server was very knowledgable and helpful! The food was delicious and the private booth area offered a very intimate atmosphere to celebrate a birthday! the food was delicious and they even provided a complimentary dessert of chocolate strawberries which was delicious!"

  • "I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The dinner was very romantic. With the set up of the booth we were in, we couldn't see any other people there and could barely hear anyone else. The food was excellent and the experience of cooking it at the table was a lot of fun. It takes a really long time. We were being quite leisurely about the evening, but we spent 3 hours there. Just something to consider while planning, not a criticism at all."

  • "I think the meat choices would have had a better flavor if they had not been boiled, but rather grilled over a small hibachi or fried in oil. The boiling effect lost so much flavor. It would have been better to have the entree to be slightly crisp rather than soggy. The dark chocolate dessert was wonderful! I would definitely come back for the chocolate fondue!"

  • "We have always wanted to go because fondue is such a unique dinner. We were tucked away in a private booth down a hallway which seems like a nice place for a romantic dinner. However, out of sight must mean out of mind. It was OK that the full dinner took 2.5 hours, but in that time our water glasses went empty 4 times, and we could go long stretches without seeing our waiter, especially toward the end of dinner. Normally, you can summon someone else walking by, but no one walks by when you are at the end of a hallway. Also, just because you can't see other people doesn't mean you can't hear them. We could very clearly hear one other couple's date. Most likely this was a one time experience for us."

  • "Entrees seem a bit expensive for small portions that you have to cook yourself, but the quality is commendable. I would come here just for the dessert choices though with chocolate fondue dipping options. Romantic with thorough wine options and offers a robust gluten free menu as well."

  • "Went here to celabrate our anniversary and it was our first time. I was looking for something different and this fit perfectly. Very fun to "play" with our food. Kinda. Very relaxed pace, plenty of time to sit and talk without peing harrased and rushed to make room for the next patron. Food was good and fun to cook at table."

  • "We came in for Northside Nights and had an excellent meal. Our server was great, but the hostess either doesn't like her job or just has no personality. When she called to confirm my reservation she sounded incredibly bored, like she might fall asleep on the phone or someone had forced her into making phone calls she didn't want to make. As soon as I came into the restaurant I knew exactly who she was by the complete lack of expression on her face. Other than that one hostess, we had an excellent visit."

  • "Over the years I have been to the Melting Pot many times. Usually reserved for a special occasion, I have always enjoyed the experience. This visit was a major disappointment. From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed unhappy. The hostess would not seat us until our entire party arrived, which would be understandable if the restaurant was busy, but on this Tuesday night it was less than half full. So we enjoyed an overpriced (and misquoted no less) drink in the overly lit bar. Once the rest of our party arrived, we were seated at a table directly outside the kitchen. Our waiter seemed to be in a hurry and never actually 'stopped' by the table; each time he seemed to be passing through and we could barely keep his attention."
